Keep Track On How Many Times An Option Has Been Clicked?
Sep 29, 2011
So I made a small Paper-Rock-Scissors game but I need to keep track how many times say "rock" has been clicked, what function should I use for that?
(For example, if the user has clicked rock 4 times, the computer will automatically assume that the user will continue with rock and says paper so it'll win the game.)
i want my windows 98 comp to be able to open only 3 windows when u click on the explorer icon 3 times.it opens as many as i like,but i want it to open a maximum of 3 windows as i dont have have a fast connection as a result the pages dont open so fast ,if i open more than 3 windows.
I want to have <div> cells that the background-color css style dynamically change between 4 colors depending on how many times they are clicked. The options are none, yellow, red and green then repeat. So when the page loads, they are all at none, and if you click once it goes to green, twice to yellow, three times to red, then back to none.
I am currently looking to create a JavaScript menu for a website I am working on. It currently expands and collapses on click. The code in question is pasted below:-
menu_status = new Array(); function showHide(theid){ if (document.getElementById) { var switch_id = document.getElementById(theid);
[Code]....
As you can see, it basically shows and hides the menu (when clicked). I want it to open the menu when clicked and close when another menu is opened. I have looked and have not been able to find a solution into it. Ideally I donot want it to be a long piece of code as I do have a working menu but with many more lines of JavaScript than the one I have posted.
I want to know the index of the option that a user clicks on in a multiple-select object (regardless of whether he selected or deselected it). This seems fairly simple but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Does anybody know how to do this?
I'm having a little bit of a problem with setting the background color through an onClick event on an option tag. When I click one of the options, nothing changes, although I set the body.style.backgroundColor to register to a different color when the option tag is clicked.
This is my first post to this forum. When a button in parent window is clicked multiple times, more than one popup window is opened. This problem is occurring in linux firefox and mozilla browsers. In windows the code is working fine. Is there any option in window.open() method to open a popup window once. s there any known issue regarding this case?. Need a workaround to fix this issue.

I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
Is it just extraneous code possibly? It seems to be ok (from right to left) in Firefox 3 but using IE and Opera, it scrolls from btm to top and I cannot figure out why.
I am searching a solution to change a ComboBox by popup I have found this script on the web. Is it also possible to select the newVendor just after adding? Is this script ok or are there better solutions?
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function message(value){ if(value=="newVendor"){// New Vendor is selected var vendor = prompt("Vandor's Name",""); var elementSelect = document.getElementById('vendor'); try{ [Code]....
I'm using the following code to remove an option from a select control based on a selection in a different select control and the option text in the select option that is being removed. The code works as I want it to, but I would prefer to use the option value for identifying the option to remove instead of using the option text. I've tried several different ways to do this, but can not find the proper syntax.
i want to display contents of a form in a plane text format. for that i want to track a number of textfields in the form..... do i need to write a seperate line for each textfield ? i tried

I have a form that is calling a js function that does the actual submit. The action of the form points to a page on another server that I do not have the ability to edit.
My problem is that I need a way of tracking submissions and I'm having a hard time thinking of a way to do that. Anyone have any thoughts?
I have a four part process to add something to my website. I'd like to have a bar at the top of my page (if you need an example, something simliar to FedEx to show where you package is along the way) that will get updated upon each page move so the user knows how far along they are in the process and how much farther they have to go?
I have an select option list, each option has a numerical id, value and text. Each option has an array of its own. So when I choose an option from this list, I want to insert the options array into another option list with an id, value and text. Whats the best way of doing this? How do I select an array based on the value or text of a select option? For for example, take a list of car makes. If I choose the make Audi, how do I select the array of Audi models and insert these models into another select option list. All makes and models have their own numerical id, value and text.
How can I track the mouse coordinates outside the active window? No one can tell me its not possible because Google Spreadsheets and EditGrid both do it. When you drag down to select cells these spreadsheet programs are capable of properly selecting the cells based on where the mouse is, even though the mouse is way outside the browser. I haven't been able to find any info on it or figure it out myself. How is this possible?
Does anyone have any experience with any JS library that provides a rich text editor? I am particularly interested in the MS-word like feature of tracking changes. Simple features like strikethrough in case of delete and underline in case of added text would be sufficient.
Has anyone extended the FCK Editor/Tiny MCE editor for this purpose? Any suggestions on how to go about implementing this feature will be very useful.
I would like to start offering an "Affiliate" program on my website. Can anyone offer a script that I can use to track clicking to my site from an affiliate's link?
