im trying to post each input element in my form. The elements are generated with a click function. So if there are 2 elements i want to post the values of both to a php script. This is what ive tried so far but it doesnt appear to work.

In a few words it creates a button which when it is clicked it launches the add_text script. Add text script creates a text element for a form and puts a random value for the textbox. Textbox also takes a name which is of array type name="txt[]". Also form has the post method.
When I press e.g. 4 times the add text field button 4 text boxes are added. But when I click the submit button I get a result of 1 instead of 4 when the print count($txt) is executed. Copy paste the code to see the problem.
I need to capture input from a form in the run time and send those values as URL parameters using HTML POST.

Here searchText and searchFilter are the input values. When I run the app, I don't see the values but I see "frm.searchText.value" and "frm.searchFilter.value" getting passed as parameters.

I just started using jQuery, but i can't get it working. On the index.php page I want a search form, that post's to search.php. Following next, I want that the html of search.php (which will only be a table with the results), is show into the 'results' div in the index.php.

I'm using Javascript to create some dynamic content on my website. Basically it's looping through some values and updating an input field with the values.
What I'm wondering is, do I have to do this using a form and an input field? Is there a way I can get Javascript to update the content inside a DIV for example?

This seems to work for "well formed" HTML, but fails for example, when
a form is defined within a table.
As recently as 1.4.3 $('input:text') would find input elements with no type attribute, but after upgrading to 1.5.1 that is no longer the case.
Is this a bug or an intended refactor to be more standards compliant?
FYI - this is the selector I now have to use: $('input:text,input:not([type])')

I have the following code which I think Should do this, but it's not working :/These are two different functions which I've been testing, and the html element is supposed to create a dropdown list via some PHP which will have the option "Other" within it. Unfortunately, I have no idea exactly how to turn "Other" into a text box when the user clicks, and I've been spending a lot of time on this already.

how do i cause the form to post to another page? Am I doing it correct? I want this to happen ONLY if validation passes.
I am having no luck with my post form to mysql. It is only posting the first letter of the word/phrase for the text input fields to the mysql database. It is a photo and text post form. The photo and only first letter of text are posting to database. I am using Jqtouch, jquery, and phonegap.

I have created a form with malsup's Form Plugin wherein it submits on change of the inputs. I have set up my jQuery script to index drop down menus and visible inputs, and uses that index to determine whether keydown of tab should move focus to the next element or the first element, and likewise with shift+tab keydown. However, instead of moving focus to the first element from the last element on tab keydown like I would like it to, it moves focus to the second element. How to send one input data using ajax, I then needed to send a form with multiple inputs. I believe I can't do this with AJAX so have tried to implement it using JQuery.

I have some basic HTML knowledge but rely pretty heavily on WYSIWYG editors (dreamweaver). I think this might be more of a PHP question and not necessarily require a js, but here it is. What I am trying to do is learn how to build a directory in a site that allows any visitor to the site to add A) the company's name, B) the site URL, and C) possibly a brief description. 1). Once my form posts, all the information stays in the post. How do I get it to blank. Is this where I set cache to false or is that something else?
2). I am using classic ASP and once I do my insert to sql server I retrieve the new record's ID, how do I get that returned back as part of the post?
