JQuery :: Using Nth-child To Display The First Ten Rows With A Certain Class?
Oct 29, 2010
I'm having an issue I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm very new to jquery and just picking it up as I go. I'm trying to display the first 10 table rows with a certain class. The rows with this specific class(.filtered) are not ordered in any way. Basically I have a loop which runs through 10 times, and in that loop I'm trying to say "display the [i]th table result where class = filtered" so at the end of the loop, I will have 10 rows, all with the class .filtered. Here's what I have, but I'm fairly sure my syntax is wrong.[URL]..
I have a table of data, grouped by Month, Year and then ProjectID: - Month, Year - ProjectID - Job1 - Job2 The Month, Year row controls a collapsable row (ProjectID) and in turn, the ProjectID row controls the Job row(s). The problem I'm having is that if the Job row(s) is open, then 'close' the Month, Year row, the Job row(s) stay visible. How can I control all 'child' rows from the 'parent' Month, Year control?
PHP Code: <?php $previousProject = ''; $previousMonth =''; if ($totalRows_rsInvPending > 0) { // Show if recordset not empty do { if ($previousProject != $row_rsInvPending['projid']) { if ($previousMonth != $row_rsInvPending['themonth']) { // for every Project, show the Project ID ?> .....
im experiencing a problem when using the :nth-child() selector.
I currently have a div that contains multiple divs. These divs have either the class 'labels' or 'labels-alt', I currently use the following code to change add/remove a class to one of these
function mOver1(n) { $('.labels:nth-child('+n+')').toggleClass("labels-hover"); } function mOut1(n) {
(There's a structural reason for accessing the child <p> tags, rather than just the parent <div>s. Some <p> tags in some<div>swill have previously had a style change applied: if the changes are now applied only to the parents, some children won't change… at least not till they're hidden).Anyway: this code doesn't work, doesn't generate a FF error message, and doesn't stop subsequent chained functions from operating. So it can't be far off; and the syntax$(cl + ' > p') works ok in another function.
I've been fiddling around with a bit of javascript in a chrome extension - something to alter the Google buzz webpage.I'm trying to find each individual post basically and have the following:
var entry =$('.X0POSb'); //This main block contains the bulk of Google buzz content console.log(entry); var items = entry.find('.G3.G2');
I'm wondering if there's a way to have multiple row carousel implemented.
I use jCarouselLite.. [url]
To be more specific, here's what I have:
And this is what I would like to accomplish:
I do realize that placing multiple items withing the <li></li> would be one approach, however I can't do that since the items are generated dynamically. The structure of my data (items) is an unordered list:
Using "float: left" & "clear: left" messes up the whole structure...
Any ideas how to display 9 items at a time on 2 rows?
I'm going to have a webpage which will contain a number of tables. Some of these tables will have a number of rows where they have been set to not show by setting "display:none". Each of these tables will have a button beside it which when clicked will result in the 'hidden' rows appearing (or disappearing).I'm very much a beginner when it comes to javascript but can easily handle the above if it was just a single table row whose appearance was being toggled but it's likely to be any number of rows. I was wondering whether I should assign all the hidden rows with a particular class and in addition assign each actual table with hidden rows a unique id. Would that then allow me to pass both table id and row class to a javascript function which would then toggle the display of the rows. At this point I'm out of my depth
I am referencing an iframe from another server in my website. The iframe is in a table format, and I want to get rid of the top two rows of the table for my website. Is there any way I could display the iframe without the first two rows?
I'm working on a site where we display two lists of boats, sail or power via the organic tabs plugin. Now, our client wants us to show one list type by default depending on the class of the body tag - for example, if the user was on a sailing boat page, the body would have a class of 'sailPage' and therefore the list that would be shown by default would be the 'sail list' - and vice versa for the power (although be default this one shows first anyways as it is the first 'panel' in the HTML') In my admittedly rather clumsy way, I've written the following jQuery function which does seem to work (well, the first half) - however when the user clicks back on to the 'power' tab whilst on page with a class of 'sail', the power list doesn't display. There also seems to be a problem in IE7 where the content of the lists will not display until you select the other tab first, and then select the second tab again?
I have some JQuery that makes an Ajax call and then adds some rows to an existing table.
function LoadDestinationTable() { $("#destinationTable tr:gt(0)"[code]...
The problem is that the only place where the click event fires is on the rows that were added when the page was 1st rendered – the th, for example.I also tried adding an onclick event handler to the input button’s creation – that also does not fire.
i want already select .postlike in $(this) now i want to select the tagh1 who is in .commentboxelements.i want to change the h1's inside text 1 to 2 so i write the code
$(this).closest('.posts').children('.commentboxelements center h1').html('1');
i try this but it's not worked anyway how i can do this.
Code: function BaseController(el) { var that = this; this.defaultAction = function() {
[Code]....
What is the proper method here so that el will be defined in the super "class".? I know I saw something on stack overflow a couple of days ago but can not seem to find it again.
admin: Something is up with the code tags, why the system is double posting the code. Does HIGHLIGHT=JS not exists anymore? – That seemed not be working.
so i wrote this slider with some help from an admin, everything works as I would like it to but I'm trying to make it a plugin so i need to tighten up a certain part of the code:
(function( $ ){ $.fn.jmSlider = function() { // get total width of all li elements in the slider var wrapWidth = 0;
[code]....
what i would like to do is instead of using "li:first" and "li:last", i would like to use first-child and last-child so the element doesn't need to be a li, in can be anything that is the direct child of the parent container.
say that I have 2 css classes, 1 is "test failed" and the other is "test ok". And that i have like 20 diffrent div's with their own id, and class either "test failed" or "test ok".Code:<div class="ok/failed" id="one-twenty"> </div>I would like to (depending on what button the user pushes" display the "ok" test cases or hide them and the same thing for the "failed" one's.How can this be done in javascript?Tried the following but it does'nt work
Code: var allHTMLTags = new Array(); function getElementByClass(theClass) {
I could use a hand changing the display property of a group of objects based on classname. What I have here doesn't work; perhaps you can see why? I think the basic problem is that I don't know how to access the objects properly.. Code:
I have a difficult work around Jquery. I want to remove all li items from the ul except first li and last three li how to remove the li elements from these list.
i'm creating a ASP page, which is going to have a form in it that needs filling out. part of the form will be a table with a header row, then the next rows will have text boxes that need filling out. is there a way of putting in a dropdown box that contatins numbers that will dynamically show the rows. for example if i select 5, then five rows of text boxes will appear. if i select 14 then 14 appear.
I have a HTML table with 800 rows. How can I delete rows that has no Activity & no $ in JavaScript(Red Colored Rows)? Please note I can have 1 or more than 1 assessments with 1 or more than 1 activity. Sample data.
My code: [URL]... When I click on Upraviť in class edit I need add some HTML code to begin and to end of class entry how to I can select class entry in the same class post on which I clicked?
I have created parent child checkboxes. When one child is selected, then parent of that child, other child of same name and parent of that same name's child will be selected... Now I want if I unchecked any child, then only same name of child and parents should be unchecked or if I unchecked Parent Child, then same name of parent and child will be unchecked.
I have a huge blob of code but the main part I am focusing on is this
$('.billboard_click').click(function () { //this remove class $(".billboard_click").removeClass("billboard_click"); });
1. Execute a click event when the div with the class 'billboard_click' is clicked
2. Once clicked, remove the class from that very div to avoid another click from happening
3. Execute a series of events such as animations, etc
4. add the class back to the clicker div
The code does not seem to work as expected but I am wondering if I am having issues elsewhere at this point and wonder if this actually is known to work
I am new to this discussion but hope you would post reply for my query and encourage me to keep in touch with this discussion. Well here is my problem.
