Editing - Display The Iframe Without The First Two Rows?
Oct 9, 2010
I am referencing an iframe from another server in my website. The iframe is in a table format, and I want to get rid of the top two rows of the table for my website. Is there any way I could display the iframe without the first two rows?
I am trying to create a WYSIWYG editor for my site, but seeing as how every browser gives different results when using the execcommand method, I am trying to do my own insertions instead.
What I would like to do is create an iframe with designMode On to enable editing of the frame, but when someone does a command to bold text, I want to make a method which enters <b>Some Highlighted Text</b> into the frame where the user highlighted so it would appear bold and the source would have the <b> tags.
My issue is I have been unsuccessful in learning how to take the selected text within an iframe and surround it with tags. I was able to accomplish this in Internet Explorer using this code:
Except the resulting text would actually have the <i> tags appear, and the source would be:
Pretty retarded if you ask me since in no way did I want it to convert the tags into entities.
Anyway, if anyone could please direct me to a method in which I can successfully take selected text within the iframe and surround it with HTML tags in such a way that the formatting will actually show.
I need to know level of difficulty/hours needed to do this:
A user uploads a photo into an editing tool. It takes a couple of seconds to upload the full res version. Then, when the photos are being edited in the tool (cropping, color, etc.) it converts to low res for faster editing, so the high res image doesn't have to load every time there's a change. Once the user is done, and/or adds their final product, the manipulated image is saved to hi res again, for print.
What is the time estimate/level of complexity if this? The code is there for the tool (some advanced JavaScript), just need to change the speed of editing. Server disk write speed is plenty fast.
I'm going to have a webpage which will contain a number of tables. Some of these tables will have a number of rows where they have been set to not show by setting "display:none". Each of these tables will have a button beside it which when clicked will result in the 'hidden' rows appearing (or disappearing).I'm very much a beginner when it comes to javascript but can easily handle the above if it was just a single table row whose appearance was being toggled but it's likely to be any number of rows. I was wondering whether I should assign all the hidden rows with a particular class and in addition assign each actual table with hidden rows a unique id. Would that then allow me to pass both table id and row class to a javascript function which would then toggle the display of the rows. At this point I'm out of my depth
I'm having an issue I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm very new to jquery and just picking it up as I go. I'm trying to display the first 10 table rows with a certain class. The rows with this specific class(.filtered) are not ordered in any way. Basically I have a loop which runs through 10 times, and in that loop I'm trying to say "display the [i]th table result where class = filtered" so at the end of the loop, I will have 10 rows, all with the class .filtered. Here's what I have, but I'm fairly sure my syntax is wrong.[URL]..
I'm wondering if there's a way to have multiple row carousel implemented.
I use jCarouselLite.. [url]
To be more specific, here's what I have:
And this is what I would like to accomplish:
I do realize that placing multiple items withing the <li></li> would be one approach, however I can't do that since the items are generated dynamically. The structure of my data (items) is an unordered list:
Using "float: left" & "clear: left" messes up the whole structure...
Any ideas how to display 9 items at a time on 2 rows?
i'm creating a ASP page, which is going to have a form in it that needs filling out. part of the form will be a table with a header row, then the next rows will have text boxes that need filling out. is there a way of putting in a dropdown box that contatins numbers that will dynamically show the rows. for example if i select 5, then five rows of text boxes will appear. if i select 14 then 14 appear.
I have some JQuery that makes an Ajax call and then adds some rows to an existing table.
function LoadDestinationTable() { $("#destinationTable tr:gt(0)"[code]...
The problem is that the only place where the click event fires is on the rows that were added when the page was 1st rendered – the th, for example.I also tried adding an onclick event handler to the input button’s creation – that also does not fire.
I have a HTML table with 800 rows. How can I delete rows that has no Activity & no $ in JavaScript(Red Colored Rows)? Please note I can have 1 or more than 1 assessments with 1 or more than 1 activity. Sample data.
I am having trouble with a script that displays the url of an iframe. On this page, I have a single iframe and want to display the url of the iframe in a div. It works upon initial loading, but the url does not change when a link within the iframe is clicked and a new iframe page loads within the frame. My users need the ability to determine and directly link/view the iframe url.
Here is the script <iframe id="mainFrame" name="mainFrame" class="inner-center" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" width="100%" height="400" src="whats_new.htm"></iframe>
[Code]....
what to research and implement. Can you reload the content in the div? do I want to look at cross-frame scripting?
Can you give me an iframe code that will display another page in my website. For example, I want to display specifically the login area of facebook. let say 100px by 40px. Then, when someone logged in their account it will change view to the center of the facebook and change to 500px by 700px. is it possible?
this form look up some holiday destination which appears on this page with url: [URL] Now, I dont want to display result on this page, but on page B, in iframe.I found a way how to redirect output as a link to properly show in iframe on page B.
Page A contains:
<a href="pageb.html?http://www.domain.com/find.html?destination=italy&price=500">show on page B</a><br> Page B contains: <script type="text/javascript">
[code]....
In this case page B will properly load requested link in iframe.Problem is it is just a static link... I want to display search result from the form.
I have a site with the main content displayed in an iFrame. The problem is the outside frame is not exactly rectangular so the iFrame corners go over the corners of frame. I solved this by having the pages in the iFrame transparent and this works fine. However, I wish to only have the iFrame displayed when it is fully loaded. I have pretty much worked this out but there is just one problem. I cannot work out how to set the iFrame to not display initially so I can then change it from Javascript. In other words, I have the following function that shows or hides the iFrame. I simply parse "none" or "block":
Code: function showHideFrame(display) { Frame = document.getElementById("frameContent"); Frame.style.display=(display); }
I then have this function that is called from Flash to change the page. Before the page is changed I hide the iFrame: Code: function changeFrame(page) { Frame = document.getElementById("frameContent"); showHideFrame("none") Frame.src = page; }
I then have the iFrame set up as follows: HTML Code: <iframe src = "[URl]" id="frameContent" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0" onload="showHideFrame('block')></iframe>
The problem with this is that it starts visible. I have tried adding a HTML Code: style="display:none;" To the iFrame but then the javascript cannot set it to block it stays hidden the whole time. I have also tried putting it on the CSS but the effect was the same. So how can I override the CSS? Or set it to be invisible initially?
Is there any way to display "Processing" message, by default, in the iframe triggering by jQuery from the parent window? IFrame is runing CURL function and with PHP 5.2 I can't display any message there so I need to have there something by default.
I have a Body onload event (to load the chained Menu) and a windows.onload event (to load the IFrame Ticker).If I open the page in Internet explorer both scripts function; however in Firefox I'm having problems.The Chained Menu works, however the IFrame Ticker does not display. Both events ahave ben placed on the boady tag.how I can get both to display in Firefox.
I have been trying to get some assistance with this issue for a while now. I know this issue has been discussed before but I can't seem to get it to work. I have a master html page with an iframe on that page. I am using jquery prettyphoto and I was wondering how I can get the light box to display in the parent window when I click on the link in the iframe?[code]...
What I would like to do is have a page with a dropdown menu, and depending on which option the user chooses from the dropdown, reload the page and display a particular iframe below the dropdown, based on the users choice. Also, a default iframe would load (the one connected to the default choice in the select box). I was trying to make this work with PHP (without having the user having to click a submit button) but I couldn't find a way to make it happen.
What I am going to explain is possible in JS and if I could find a snippet somewhere?
For the sake of simplifying, I have a an HTML table with several cells in it. Like a calendar.
What I need to do is be able to click on any one of cells in the table that contains text or a graphics image in it and edit the text or the img src then save the changes.
I am trying to make a table wherein I can edit the value of the cells of the table just by clicking on them. Is this possible? I want it to be like a browser-based excel type of interface.
Would I toggle the visibility of the text and a hidden input form when the user clicks on the text? But then wouldn't that require separate forms for every single cell?
There are times that I am using another person's computer who has no knowledge of updating HTML and does not even know if he has the necessary programs to do the FTP.
I may see a minor problem with my site and would like to change it on the fly. What I would like to know are the answers to the following questions.
1. Is there any way to display unformated HTML within a web page without using the browsers source facility?
2. Is there a way to modify it? Maybe showing it in a form textarea.
3. Is there a way for javascript or a form to do an FTP back to the web site? This would obviously require id and password.
