i have an iframe inside a page(main). In that iframe, i am calling a java script function that is in the main page.This function call is working in Mozilla , IE but not in Safari and google chrome?? Is there any specific reason for that? when i add the function in the iframe it works.

this form look up some holiday destination which appears on this page with url: [URL] Now, I dont want to display result on this page, but on page B, in iframe.I found a way how to redirect output as a link to properly show in iframe on page B.

I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. Also, a default iframe would load (the one connected to the default choice in the select box). I was trying to make this work with PHP (without having the user having to click a submit button) but I couldn't find a way to make it happen.

I am having trouble with a script that displays the url of an iframe. On this page, I have a single iframe and want to display the url of the iframe in a div. It works upon initial loading, but the url does not change when a link within the iframe is clicked and a new iframe page loads within the frame. My users need the ability to determine and directly link/view the iframe url.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a site with the main content displayed in an iFrame. The problem is the outside frame is not exactly rectangular so the iFrame corners go over the corners of frame. I solved this by having the pages in the iFrame transparent and this works fine. However, I wish to only have the iFrame displayed when it is fully loaded. I have pretty much worked this out but there is just one problem. I cannot work out how to set the iFrame to not display initially so I can then change it from Javascript. In other words, I have the following function that shows or hides the iFrame. I simply parse "none" or "block":

To the iFrame but then the javascript cannot set it to block it stays hidden the whole time. I have also tried putting it on the CSS but the effect was the same. So how can I override the CSS? Or set it to be invisible initially?
Is there any way to display "Processing" message, by default, in the iframe triggering by jQuery from the parent window? IFrame is runing CURL function and with PHP 5.2 I can't display any message there so I need to have there something by default.

When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. How would i go abouts putting a javascript code into a hidden iframe and then have it update new messages to another frame if there is a new message?
By message i mean it checks the database for a new message ( this is for a chat )
