this form look up some holiday destination which appears on this page with url: [URL] Now, I dont want to display result on this page, but on page B, in iframe.I found a way how to redirect output as a link to properly show in iframe on page B.
Page A contains:
<a href="pageb.html?http://www.domain.com/find.html?destination=italy&price=500">show on page B</a><br>
Page B contains:
In this case page B will properly load requested link in iframe.Problem is it is just a static link... I want to display search result from the form.
So I decided on my midterm project its going to be a simple gas/trip calculator that calculates the cost of the trip with regards to price of gas an how many miles your going. I am just learning how to use the DOM so please be nice with me lol. Anyway I understand how to grab a field from a form an slap it into a variable but what i cant figure out is how to make the result appear in the result input field. So Here is my code.

Can you give me an iframe code that will display another page in my website. For example, I want to display specifically the login area of facebook. let say 100px by 40px. Then, when someone logged in their account it will change view to the center of the facebook and change to 500px by 700px. is it possible?
What I would like to do is have a page with a dropdown menu, and depending on which option the user chooses from the dropdown, reload the page and display a particular iframe below the dropdown, based on the users choice. Also, a default iframe would load (the one connected to the default choice in the select box). I was trying to make this work with PHP (without having the user having to click a submit button) but I couldn't find a way to make it happen.
I have a calculator that check the price for the properties for a choosen date, I use php and mysql to get the result and the result are displayed on the same page refreshing the page using this in the form: action="<?=$_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']?>#formdestination">
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>[code]........
I am trying to get to where the info from products_page.html in the forms is displayed on order_form2.html at the top above that form, depending on what product is selected. Right now I see parameters in the URL, but do not understand how to display them as they should.
I have a site i'm building in Joomla! 1.5. I've got a form on page A and an iframe on page B. The iframe src is an asp page that returns real estate listing details based on values passed to the asp page in the URL. for example:[URL] I figured out how to create a form on page B that changes the src of the iframe by setting the target to the name of the iframe. so that works fine. but now, i want to put a similar form on the home page.
:confused: so here is my question... Is it possible to use JS (or maybe php?) to create a URL based on the values in the form on page A and then take the visitor to page B while changing the src of the iframe on page B to be the newly created URL? if so, how?
existing iframe code: <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-ONE"></iframe> desired new iframe code (after form on page A is submitted): <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-TWO"></iframe>
I am using an iframe in my page to submit a form to so that it can upload a file - since you can't do this through the jquery ajax function. I have everything working, but I want to be able to hide the iframe and get the content of it, and put just the content inside of it into another div on the page. I have tried alot of things, but I think this one was probably closest: $("#myframe").contentDocument; This ended up getting me a value type of "Object HTMLDocument", I just can't figure out how to get the content as a string so that I can put it into the div I want.
I have a date picker with a textbox input for 'from' and 'to' the page loads with default values which display in the textboxes. What I want to do is: when the page loads, these values are sent to my SQL server, the server checks for entries that are within the range, then reports back on the page the results.Subsequent changes to either from or to dates should result in a similar call to the server for validation. no submit button, just change date = changed output.I figure the best way to do this is with AJAX. So I have a date picker, but how do I send the results to a PHP file to do what it will with them? And once the php file is done with them, how do I put the results back on my HTML page? Now for some code:
In <head> <!-------------------------------------> <!-- DATEPICKER CONFIGURATION -->[code]....
So that's all the code that makes my Range Select date picker. My question is very similar to http:[url]....with-ajax-and-jquery-datepicker except that I probably lack even more knowledge than that OP - I need a step-by-step baby solution to how this all works.Where in my code does the $.ajax() function go? How do I handle two dates, not just one? How do I get the output on screen? Finally, in my PHP script, would this at least provide me output?
I am currently working on form which let the user submit a small (max 300 char) message.. Now I want the message to display on same page under the form, something like twitter.. I tried a lot using jquery but it is not working.
Can someone please give me idea where and how can I solve this?
