I have a site i'm building in Joomla! 1.5. I've got a form on page A and an iframe on page B. The iframe src is an asp page that returns real estate listing details based on values passed to the asp page in the URL. for example:[URL] I figured out how to create a form on page B that changes the src of the iframe by setting the target to the name of the iframe. so that works fine. but now, i want to put a similar form on the home page.
 so here is my question... Is it possible to use JS (or maybe php?) to create a URL based on the values in the form on page A and then take the visitor to page B while changing the src of the iframe on page B to be the newly created URL? if so, how?
existing iframe code:
<iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-ONE"></iframe>
desired new iframe code (after form on page A is submitted):
<iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-TWO"></iframe>
I have a form that I submit to an asp page. The asp page contains an iframe that needs to receive the form results too. How can I submit the form to both the asp page and the iframe at the same time?
this form look up some holiday destination which appears on this page with url: [URL] Now, I dont want to display result on this page, but on page B, in iframe.I found a way how to redirect output as a link to properly show in iframe on page B.
Page A contains:
<a href="pageb.html?http://www.domain.com/find.html?destination=italy&price=500">show on page B</a><br> Page B contains: <script type="text/javascript">
[code]....
In this case page B will properly load requested link in iframe.Problem is it is just a static link... I want to display search result from the form.
I am using an iframe in my page to submit a form to so that it can upload a file - since you can't do this through the jquery ajax function. I have everything working, but I want to be able to hide the iframe and get the content of it, and put just the content inside of it into another div on the page. I have tried alot of things, but I think this one was probably closest: $("#myframe")[0].contentDocument; This ended up getting me a value type of "Object HTMLDocument", I just can't figure out how to get the content as a string so that I can put it into the div I want.
I have an webbpage, and in the middle of it there is an iframe to a php site. So i have used this code, so after some seconds the iframe will send the guest to another page. <meta http-equiv="refresh" traget="_top" content="5 url=http://mypage.com"/> But the thing is that i want the WHOLE page to reload, and go to that page after 5 seconds (we can say). With that code, only the iframe are going to another page. Is it possible to make the whole page send the user after some seconds, to another page and not only the iframe?
1. Load the first page of a series of pages into an iframe when you click a link 2. On each click load the next in order page 3. When last page has loaded if clicked again will start from the beginning.
What I am doing: I am creating a tutorial for a friend who cannot figure out how to use her new rental management program. I could use a manual slide show to have her click for the next image however, there are a LOT of tutorial images which show her what to do at that point. Her program contains a great number of setup screens, report screens etc. This means the slide show would be sitting there loading all these images before it will work. So, I figured, OK make a page with an iframe, and then I could put each image on it's own little page i.e. page1, page2 etc. Place a little button, or a next link, then have the link load the pages into the iframe in order.
i want to make a iframe page that loading a page from other site. I have try "jQuery iFrame Sizing" to set auto height in iframe... but it is failed.
This is my code : ------------- on Head <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/iframe.js"></script> on Body
I have a simple page with an iframe on; frame.html Inside this frame is a simply page; page1.html. Page1.html has a link to a stylesheet called style1.css.There is also a hyperlink to page2.html. Page2.html has a link to a stylesheet called style2.css.Now what I want to achieve is for the main page, frame.html, to style itself according to whatever is contained in page1.css, as it is page1.html on the frame. When the user uses the hyperlink and jumps to page2.html, frame.html should automatically restyle itself according to page2.css.
I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there. This one works, almost, for me: [URL] it does resize for me, but not quite sufficiently high each time - about 90% of what is required: [URL] Is there a way to add on sufficient extra margin that scrollbars no longer appear?
I've been searching for a few hours and haven't been able to find a code snippet to see if this is available. I'm attempting to pass text from my website to another website that has a form setup on it. I'd like to fill in the pertinent data for my users on the page that I load for them. I cannot make any changes to the receiving page as it is run by another company. I've pasted some of the code that is available on the receiving form.
<script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ var theForm = document.forms['form1']; if (!theForm) {
Goal 1: display errors above the form on same page
Goal 2: direct users to a new thankyou page when form is submitted.
The form uses ajax. I am able to get it to work with the error messages displaying correctly but as is, the thankyou message also displays in the same spot and the form is left filled out. I need it to direct to a new page I designed for the purpose.
My code works but because I'm using VBscript within JavaScript I get an error message...the yellow tri-angle with an "!" mark.
---------------within my body------------- <script language="JavaScript">document.write(formatCurrency(<%=Request.Form ("total")%>))</script> ------------------------------------------
My script takes the form element "total" from the previous page and sends it to a function for formatting. Problem is...JavaScrip just doesn't like VBscript. How do I get the form element using JavaScript?
what the code is supposed to do is show my form and update the pb field... the thing is when i open my page i just get a blank page with nothing ... not even the form..
I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I am using php and javascript.

I have a simple script that will get the NWS forecast for any zip code and it opens it in a new tab. I would like it to open in an iframe on another page with in my website. I have come close, but not quite all the way yet. This will enter the forecast in an iframe on the same page as the input form. [URL]
How can it load onto this page from the form on the menubar? This menu is common on all the sites pages.
I have seen solutions posted around the internet using javascript for similar issues, but I haven't been able to get any to work in my situation. My javascript skills are - none.
What I want to do is go from page1 (which does not have an Iframe) to page2 (which does have an Iframe) and change the content of that Iframe based on the links clicked on page1.
So say I click link1 on page1, I want page2 to show up and for the Iframe to show link1 content.
If I click link2 on page1, I want page2 to show up and in the Iframe I want to see link2 content.
i know how to use javascript to make a specific page load into an iframe but not how to make the page load into the iframe on another page. all i need to know is how to do it for one page then i think i can build the decision structure around it to make it work for more than one link (hopefully).
Is there a way to have an iframe but has scrolling but as soon as you click the down button once it go down a bit of the page it scrolls down straight down to 65pixels?
I wanna copy another page to my website like iframe. The page I wanna copy is changing everyday and I wanna a code that bring the page to my website automatically everyday. iframe only copy the complete website and I wanna a specific area. The site I wanna copy is [url] and I wanna copy the little square on the right corner that says "LITURGIA DO DIA". HTML is static and PHP is dynamic, but my server only support HTML and I thought that javascript could help.
