I have a page A with form:
<form id="search" action="find.html" method="get">

<input type="submit" class="submit" value="search">
this form look up some holiday destination which appears on this page with url: [URL] Now, I dont want to display result on this page, but on page B, in iframe.I found a way how to redirect output as a link to properly show in iframe on page B.

I have four pages.two html, one js and one php. First page is loginTab.html. There is a tab called "Tab One" when user clicks on it there is a script inside this html page which calls function and loads an external login.html form using ajax. in login.html there is a form and include external js code for ajax functions. What it does is when the user enters email and password and clicks submit then it triggers another ajax function which send a query to php file and compare those variables there with mysql db and returns the message to a div which is in login.html. The problem here is when I enter email and password and clicks on submit button it does not display anything. I am providing all of my code below
loginTab.html
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]">
<html xmlns="[URL]">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<script>
window.onload = initAll;
var xhr = false; .....
Below is the code for a Captive Portal Splash Page. I have tried to research how to fix the button at the bottom of my page but I can either add a link (which does not require checking the box to agree to terms) or simply how it came to me without the ability to send customer anywhere.

I am currently working on form which let the user submit a small (max 300 char) message.. Now I want the message to display on same page under the form, something like twitter.. I tried a lot using jquery but it is not working.
Can someone please give me idea where and how can I solve this?
How would I go about creating the coding for a submit button that links to another page? And I would I go about creating the coding for the reset button that resets the page? I go about creating a code to do so, but it never works. Here is the coding I have for the submit button:
<p id="pbuttons"><center>
<input type="reset" value="Reset" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit Order">
</center></p>
I have the following JS. In this, when I press the submit button, I have a JS function that will create 2 input boxes and one more submit button.
When I type the values in those input boxes and click on the newly created submit button, the addition of the above input values should display. But the entire input boxes and submit button gets lost and the old page is getting displayed.

I have a form on my contact page. when the user fills out the info and clicks on my submit button, I need that page (send_form_email.php)to load inside my div.
this is what I have now -
Code:
<input type="submit" value="Submit" /></td>
I have tried this but it doesn't work, I get a blank page.
<INPUT TYPE="button" onClick="javascript:ajaxpage('send_form_email.php', 'mainContent');">
I have a form that I perform some AJAX business on when it is submitted. However, I wanted to have an if...else statement but when I add it it allows the page to refresh upon submit. For example.

I have a website containing 26 subdirectories 'a' to 'z'
On the home page I want a text field and submit button
If someone for example types 'j' it will go to the 'j' folder home page
Does anyone know where I might find code like this?
I am attempting to redirect a page after a user clicks on a submit button.I have a button:
<input id="SubmitButton" type="submit" class="button" name="-Edit" value="Submit" onClick="toSubmitted();"
And a function:
function toSubmitted() {
document.myForm.action = some URL that has to do with a Filemaker Pro backend.
document.myForm.submit();
window.location = "www.google.com";
}
Supposed to submit myForm, which sends necessary data to the FileMaker backend, and then I am wanting to redirect to a new page immediately after that.
The "window.location = "www.google.com";" line does not seem to function in its present location.
as you know when calling .submit() on a form the result object is a jQuery object.
in many situations i need to find out if the called .submit() really submitted the form or canceled by a submit event handler.
for example suppose we had a form named "myform"and a submit event handler (could be registered by a third party component or something) as below :
$("#myform").submit(function()
{
if (x==y)
return false;

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question in javascript, that is, is it possible to display a value of an variable in another html page when a button is clicked?For example, i set a value in page_1. html as abc=5 and when a button is clicked the value of abc should be displayed in page_2.html.

I am trying to update my PHP CART without having the page refreshed! Here is a part of my code... I will just use the UPDATE_QUANTITY part (there are ADD & Remove)My Form that holds the quantity:
<form name="upd_itm" id="upd_itm" action="cart_function.php" method="post">
<span class="text"><input name="quantity" type="text" value="' . $each_item['quantity'] . '" size="1" maxlength="2" style="text-align: center;"/>[code]....
Can I make it update my quantity in that Quantity text field?
I create a form dynamically with Java Script depending on certain actions a user choose. The end result is a form asking the user to confirm sending one or more SMS message via a message gateway outside of my system. Confirmation will then trigger a funtion with one or more statements like this:
[CODE]
document.frmSMS.action ="[URL] user=User&password=Password&sender=Sender&SMSText=Friendly Reminder from Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd: You have an outstanding amount of R 4,534.00 that is 135 days ovedue. Please settle to as soon possible.&IsFlash=0&GSM=27826555959";
document.frmSMS.submit();
[ICODE]
The target site then responds with either an error code (i.e. -10) or a reference number. The question is - How do I retrieve the error code?
I am not a javascript programmer, however are checking as I would like to investigate if I can do following:
I have a calculator that check the price for the properties for a choosen date, I use php and mysql to get the result and the result are displayed on the same page refreshing the page using this in the form: action="<?=$_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']?>#formdestination">
I know you can print the result using ajax or other javascripts to do this without having to refresh the page and jump to the result.
Was doing a research and I quckly found this link:[URL]..It does not look so complicated, however as I can see the form is done in javascript so I suppose if you have javascript disabled you cant use the calculator.
I would like to have a non javascript solution with the way I am doing it to work if javascript is disabled. An exampel of the calculator can be viewed on this link for exampel:[URL]..
So I decided on my midterm project its going to be a simple gas/trip calculator that calculates the cost of the trip with regards to price of gas an how many miles your going. I am just learning how to use the DOM so please be nice with me lol. Anyway I understand how to grab a field from a form an slap it into a variable but what i cant figure out is how to make the result appear in the result input field. So Here is my code.

In my application I have an iframe that is empty (and not visible)
initially, however when a user presses a button a form is
programmatically submitted and the target is set to the IFrame.
I want to detect when the frame has been loaded with the result of the
form submit.
Of course I have tried some event handlers like onload, onactivate,
onreadystatechange, but they do not work in this example. They only
seem to work, when the "SRC" attribute of the "IFrame" is set, e.g.
not when the IFrame is set as the target of the form.
I run a website for a skittle league and am looking to create a form to allow teams to sumbit results on line. I'm not an expert on Javascript, the code I've created so far allows the user to enter the player name and score for one team and calcutate the total. However, I'm having problems duplicating this for a second team, and would like to remove the Get Total button (i.e. Auto Calculate total).
The Code I have so far is
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
function getTotalH1(oForm){
var field, i = 0, total = 0, els = oForm.elements;
var fieldnames = ['PSH1' , 'PSH2' , 'PSH3' , 'PSH4' , 'PSH5'];
for (i; i < fieldnames.length; ++i){
field = els[fieldnames[i]];
if (field.value != '' && isNaN(field.value))
{
alert('Please enter a valid number here.')
field.focus();
field.select();
return ''; .....
This is my very first javascript (I have limited knowledge C++ and php). I am trying to make an instant quote calculator, but having some trouble.I want to display the result of the calculation in the textbox with id price.
