Capture Data From Previous Page To Next When Submit Button Click?
Nov 6, 2009
I have a credit card donation page and what I wanted to do is after they click the submit button and transaction is successfult I wanted to capture the donation amount they enter from the donation page and show it to the next page.
The following will submit the form data to popup by clicking the submit button. I want it will submit the form automatically to the popup, there is no submit button in this page. Basically this page should not show up.
Few days ago since I started using JQuery amazing world, I got some basics to get started, I created a dialog in which I included a form that contains two text fields and a button to submit, what I want (in which I stuck now ^^) is the data interred within the form to be sent to the database, I used to do the following:
WebPage A - Has 3 different rollover buttons, each button when you click on them will go to the same URL WebPage B.
WebPage B - is a Submit Form page, were people can write Name # and Comment Text Area.
Problem: What code could I use so, that on Page A that has 3 different buttons, When you click on one of the 3 buttons on Page A, it would genterate a text related to that button in the comment field on Page B.
how do I hook a button click event so that my handler fires first but does not affect the firing of other clickhandlers for the same button?
What I want to do is hook all the form submit button click events. When a submit button is clicked, my handler will stuff some hidden fields into the form the button is contained within. Then the handler returns and the built in form submit button handler posts the form back to the server.
I have a disabled submit button sitting in the fieldset of a form. What I'd like to do is attach a click event to this button, but from what I understand this can't be done since you can't attach events to disabled elements.
Is it possible to attach it to the fieldset? I'm not completely familiar with event bubbling but maybe it's possible to capture the element clicked?
on my page I have a link to a popup. when the user clicks on the popup how can I save the information that has already been changed on the parent page, because when the popup (child) closes it refreshes my page(parent)?
Below is the code for a Captive Portal Splash Page. I have tried to research how to fix the button at the bottom of my page but I can either add a link (which does not require checking the box to agree to terms) or simply how it came to me without the ability to send customer anywhere.
I have hidden form field in a page. I populate it through JS and submit it.The problem is the data is text and it is really huge. The text is around 50000 chars. So when I submit the page no data is received at the backend. I do get the data if it is less i.e if I have few chars, I do get the data in the backend.I have the following Qs:
- - Is there a limitation in the number of characters JS can handle? If yes, What is the limit?
- - Is this happening cause the hidden form field is unable to hold the data? (I dont think this is the case as the other elements like textare etc can hold the data)
I want to be able to open a window with a variable. For example, I will use domain.com?reference=1234- This link will open a pop up window as follows:
When I open this window, it is always showing data put in last, it isnt refreshed. I wanted to open this pop up window, enter data and then click submit and make the data enter the database and then refresh the parent window. Every time I have done this, either the parent or the pop (or both) is showing old data.
How would I go about creating the coding for a submit button that links to another page? And I would I go about creating the coding for the reset button that resets the page? I go about creating a code to do so, but it never works. Here is the coding I have for the submit button:
I have the following JS. In this, when I press the submit button, I have a JS function that will create 2 input boxes and one more submit button.
When I type the values in those input boxes and click on the newly created submit button, the addition of the above input values should display. But the entire input boxes and submit button gets lost and the old page is getting displayed.
I am trying to write a script which will allow me to read the contents of an HTTP web page into memory, parse the data, and output a calculated value.
The HTTP page is on a web enable appliance - I am reading some data out of a table for further calculation. I can't modify the web appliance, only read the text data.
I've written a script on my Windoze PC that successful uses a MSXML2 ActiveX object to read the contents of a web page into memory using the xmlhttp.responseText object. The problem is that the ActiveX object is not available on a lightweight Linux based http server.
