Relatively new to jQuery but have a problem with getting data to display.Using a webform with 2 forms. User slects and inputs data into the first form, clicks a button then using jQuery .ajax submits the serialized data to a php script. The script processes the input into multiple paragraphs of text which is based on the input from the first form. The data is returned to the webpage and displayed in a text area (of the 2nd form) where the user can edit it to fine tune the wording. The 2 forms are displayed in different tabs so it is easy to move back and forward between the 2 forms.
The problem occurs when the user goes back to the first form and enters or selects different text and then click the submit button to generate a whole new text for insertion into the textarea on the second form. For certain fields the modified text is displayed. However if the whole of the text in the textarea is deleted, then the user clicks the submit button to re-generate the text content area then nothing at all is ever interted into the textarea. If have user alert to check that data is returned from the php handler and this text is correct. BUT when I click on the tab to see the textarea (id is "draftrec") there is no text inserted. The relevant function is below and the line that should insert the text into the textarea is:
I'm hoping this is possible or that there is an easier way to do this. I'm having an issue with displaying data from one array that contains information about users in a table that is controlled by a different array. Is it possible to do this or is this use of arrays to display the data the wrong approach?
The table is located on one webpage, I simply want to extract one piece of information that I have placed in the initial array as part of the login script that contains user information (for validation for login etc) and display it in a table on the new webpage that is opened as a result of successful validation of the user details. I'm completely stumped and after many attempts I just can't seem to get it to work.
I need to take the text in a textarea, split it into an array, and have the items in the array be added to a dropdown menu. When I try to split the value of the textarea (which, by the way, contains comma-delimited text) into an array, the array invariably ends up with only one item in it, and that item contains the entire contents of the textarea all jammed together with the commas removed.
The offending code:
In my test page, the text area (DownListTextBox) contains "yes,no" and when the alert fires it shows that the array has a length of 1. The Option added to the dropdown list has a text of "yesno". So, what did I do wrong?
I start to use JQuery and see how is really simple...! I just have a question that I couldn´t find in documentation or here in the forum, andI have a PHP Script that is a combobox with a several textareas. What I would like to do is, select a data in combobox andit will get some data in MySQL database and put it the textarea inputs. The combobox is from name of persons, and the textareas is address, telephone, email, etc... all of them are in MySQL database.
The above, in its full version, changes the text in a textarea. In my php code, if I include the above code above the textarea, it all works as expected.
Someone can provide a solution that will allow me to use the same block of code over and over in the same file.
I am using the cluetip plugin to show a formatted version of text thatthe user types into a text area. So I have a <textareaid="description">, and as the user types, they can at any time click a"preview" button will call cluetip to display the popup. Here is mycurrent cluetip call:
I am looking to have the user input a word into a textbox then when the user hits an "Add" button, the word is stored to an array and then is displayed in a table. I also want the textbox to clear after the "Add" button is pressed. Next, I want the user to be able to input another word into the textbox and when the "Add" button is pressed, have that word stored to same array as the first word but just to a different number.ingredient(0)=first word; ingredient(1)=second word. Then I want the second word to be displayed right below the first word in the table, in the next line down. This is what I have so far.[URL]...
I'm looking to get some code so that if the user clicks a textarea for the first time after the page loads, the text clears out, else if he types some text, navigates away, comes back and then clicks again, it does not vanish.
And oh, I'm trying to find something other than what I already wrote:
onClick="if(document.form1.tarea.value=='Click here to make this text disappear and begin writing.') document.form1.tarea.value='';" onClick="if(document.form1.tarea.value=='Click here to make this text disappear and begin writing.') document.form1.tarea.value='';"
Once you in, click on the button with the sign 'Click To Start Shopping' The problem is, the Flash doesn't load I bought this flash template and i was supposed to edit the FLA file for the serverpath. I guess i didn't put the server path correctly. Below is the code in the .FLS file
Below is the instruction from the documentation: 3. Once you have everything correctly running on local, then OPEN THE FLA, go to first frame, layer codes, open “action” panel and set there the final pàth on your server where all the files will be located (create a folder especifically for this): [URL]
I'm trying to add the text of a textarea form to the string that's contained at: myarray[a][b][c] It was easy to pull out the value of the textarea with this: textinput = $('#mytextarea').val(); But then when I try to add the variable into the array, it doesn't work. I'm not able (apparently) to do this. Fingers crossed that I'm doing something dumb?
and when click is called and mailto links opens my email client, it somehow ignores the subject and body parameters of the link. It works properly when i actually click a link element. but it doesn't work when i simulate the click event by code written above. above dispatching event code somehow ignores the link parameters?
