Is there any way to display "Processing" message, by default, in the iframe triggering by jQuery from the parent window? IFrame is runing CURL function and with PHP 5.2 I can't display any message there so I need to have there something by default.

I am looking for sample/ implementation ASP.net with Jquery.My requirement is I have web form with some controls, once the user click on submit, entire form should Grey out with message as processing .... once the database successful, successful message should bedisplayed and if user clicks on close on message the message should be closed and form needs to be cleared or some thing like this.

How to get the JavaProcessAlert() function to have its effect displayed on the page before and while the ActualJavaProcess() is working. I assume it has to go out of the script block and then back in, but have no idea as to how to make it do so automatically. I hope the code is understandable.

I have a classified listing application (php) that shows an alert message on the main page to let the user know if there was an error, if the listing was entered, if a required field was left blank, etc.
the simple jquery code is:

the alert msg. displays whenever the page is loaded. However, if someone navigates with the forward or back buttons in the browser, or reloads the page, the alert message displays again.
I am pulling my hair out for a solution that shows the alert only once and then does not show an alert again until a new message is generated.
Have a jsp page that contains a button (<input type="submit" name="doThis" onClick="someFunction(field, arg2)"/>, when clicked it passes to params to a function that looks like this:

It functions how I want right now (to my knowledge) except for the fact that after a user submits a form and it passes validation, I want a message to be displayed that says "Thank You". I have a class created for this in my stylesheet but I don't know how to trigger it when the form is sent successfully. Essentially, I would like the result to look like this:
If the form doesn't pass validation, I want it to not display until the users fix the errors in the validation pop ups and resubmit. What I exactly mean is when a visitor opens a website, the script detects the browser and if it's IE6-7, the message to upgrade/change the browser is displayed. the validation works, but the error message appears between the label and the input i would like it to appear beside/after the input, how can i accomplish this?

i am creating a Greasemonkey script that adds an ajax chat to a website. Greasemonkey is an addon for firefox that lets you modify the html code of websites before they are showed to the user.
I am in the process of creating a wizz feature that will allow you to send a message to a member and where ever he is on the web his gona receive it. The way it works right now is there's a hidden iframe in every page load and when the player has a message it popups a small window
It's working great but the popup is always instantly blocked because firefox has a popup bloker integrated and because it can popup on random websites they don't allow it and there for never gets the message ...
Everything else i tryed was blocked by the fact that it opens in the iframe that is invisible.
I even tryed doing it the old fashon way with an alert() but same thing you don't see it because it's in the hidden frame.
And i tryed adding top.alert() but i get a javascript the "Access Denied" message. The "Access Denied" error in any browser usually means that a script in one window or frame is trying to access another window or frame whose document's domain is different from the document containing the script.
I know DHTML AJAX popup would be the only way to give the user the message with out being blocked ... but how can i make it popup out of the iframe into the main frame with out being blocked in anyway ..

By luck I had somehow found a way to collect data with a form, perform
calculations with JavaScript and display the form and calculated
results on the same screen.
Now I can't figure out how to do that again. The only methods of
reporting the calculation results seem to display a completely new
screen/window.
I just want to collect some numeric input data with slider widgets or
text boxes for an alternate method and display additional calculated
results 'real time' as the slider is adjusted. If this can't be done,
