I'm having issues with jquery and the tabs I'm using. My tabs work but... I want some more functions and that seems to be a big problem for a Javascript and jquery newby.
I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.
2) I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
Code: page2.html#tab3
I read that using this should lead you the third tab but it's not working for me. You go to the first tab of page 2 instead.
I've been reading a LOT! Jquery for dummies, I googled, read the forum and other forums. I posted on a Dutch forum but no answer. I've added a lot of different code but it doesn't work.
So I create a class: function cMap(mapID){//vars and stuff}
I go and prototype a function: cMap.prototype.loadMap = function(){ //jquery AJAX call }
Now in the jquery $.ajax({...}); call, I use an anonymous function on the "success:" call: success: function(data){ this.member = data; }
My problem is that inside this anonymous function call I'm trying to call a class member of my cMap class to store the data in from the AJAX call, but it's out of scope. So the JS console in FF/Chrome throws errors about bad value/doesn't exist.
How can I access this class member from inside an anonymous function? Or at least what's a good way to go about doing all this?
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
I'm new to jQuery and have a problem with links inside an accordion.
The simplified code looks like this: <div class="active-item"> <div class="available-items"> <h5>Headline</h5> </div>
[Code]...
The problem is, that the links inside the table are not active. If i click them, the accordion is closing What do i have to do, to keep the links inside the open accordion as normal links, without closing the accordion?
I have two links that have the same class name (like class="item191") on the same site. I want to hover one of these links and both links should become highlighted.
I cant link out of link inside rotating tabs. The rotation is working fine. I have no problem with it. Bellow is the index.html page with <script type="text/javascript" src="tabcontent.js"></script> wich ofcourse has the JScript that is making it work. You will see another small Jscript on the index.html page that I've been using to try to make the links work, but to no avail.
[Code]...
I hope this makes sense. If anyone wants to see the entire code let me know. Right now I just got the rotator working. I just need to make the links work. I will post it for everyone to use as soon as I get it working.getting the links going.
is not working correct. doSomething is not known. i think, setInterval is not inside the class, so doSomething is private and unknown for the interval.
Somehow, the isLoaded property doesnt seem to be set to true when i create an instance of the class. I tryied passing the object instance through an argument ... this.xml.onload = this.fileLoaded(this) ... MyClass.prototype.fileLoaded(obj){ obj.isLoaded = true;}
i cant find a way to return a value to a function inside a class...seem that when try to output it(the code with red markup)..its output is undefined..
function AjaxProcess(ElementId,amethod,url,element,callback_function,acontrol,ProcessImage){ this.ElementId=ElementId; this.amethod = amethod;[code].....
I would like to set the link's "visited" pseudo-class with javascript without clicking on the link. My goal is to update the link's color (previously set in the CSS file) to be "visited" without actually clicking on the link and then clicking "back" in the browser.
Does anyone know how? Here are the following things I've already tried to no avail:
var obj = document.getElementById("idOfMyLink");
//obj.visited=true; // NO //obj.style.visited=true; // NO //obj.click(); // NO, performs a click and takes me away from current page
/* // Setting the src of an iframe on the same page, trying to "stuff" this URL into browser's "History"
var theFrame = document.getElementById("myiframe"); theFrame.src = obj.href;
// NO. The iframe does go to correct URL, but the link's color doesn't update.*/Any ideas?
Everything works above. The first alert shows that this.status was set to 'error'. However, if I call myClass.getStatus(), I get undefined. How can I get the parseData function to set the variables in the parent function?
say that I have 2 css classes, 1 is "test failed" and the other is "test ok". And that i have like 20 diffrent div's with their own id, and class either "test failed" or "test ok".Code:<div class="ok/failed" id="one-twenty"> </div>I would like to (depending on what button the user pushes" display the "ok" test cases or hide them and the same thing for the "failed" one's.How can this be done in javascript?Tried the following but it does'nt work
Code: var allHTMLTags = new Array(); function getElementByClass(theClass) {
but the problem is that when I put this in a PHP echo, like so
// retrieve the session information $u = $_SESSION['username']; $uid = $_SESSION['loginid']; // display the user box
[Code]...
the javascript does not work because the ' interferes I'm assuming. So is there a way to accomplish the show/hide without using some sort of code that would interfere with the php echo?
$(function(){ $("#container div a").hover(function(){ ...
With the focus being on a DIV with ID = container. Now my DIV needs to have a class, not an ID. Can I use the code like it is below for this, with the class name container instead?
Code: $(function(){ $(".container div a").hover(function(){ ...
I'm having an issue I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm very new to jquery and just picking it up as I go. I'm trying to display the first 10 table rows with a certain class. The rows with this specific class(.filtered) are not ordered in any way. Basically I have a loop which runs through 10 times, and in that loop I'm trying to say "display the [i]th table result where class = filtered" so at the end of the loop, I will have 10 rows, all with the class .filtered. Here's what I have, but I'm fairly sure my syntax is wrong.[URL]..
I could use a hand changing the display property of a group of objects based on classname. What I have here doesn't work; perhaps you can see why? I think the basic problem is that I don't know how to access the objects properly.. Code:
I'm building a calendar and using a jQuery script to shift between "list view" and "calendar view". The thing is, that I would like to add a unique CSS class to the selected link, so I can make a highlight effect (or something like that) that only applies to the currently selected link. My script is:
jQuery(document).ready(function(){ //if this is not the first tab, hide it jQuery(".tab:not(:first)").hide(); //to fix u know who
Okay guys what I would like to do is add a class to this:
.wrap("<a href='" + item.link + "'></a>"); So that i can style this link
.wrap("<a class="grouped_elements" href='" + item.link + "'></a>"); When i try to use the second approach i get an error that reads: missing ) after argument list
