JQuery :: Underline Links Of Dynamic HTML Introduced In The DOM?

I have a button in my web site "underline links" that changes all thelinks and affects its text decoration to 'underline'. From this pointall the links of the website should be underline. The problem is thatI can only make it work for the current DOM. If I introduce new linksinto the DOM I need to select them specifically to change its textdecoration. Is there something similar to the "live" function injquery? For instance for every links introduced in the DOM I want tocheck if the website is in underline mode. Case its true, the text

I have hyperlinked texts and i want to remove the underline and blue color also.I removed underline but not the blue color i want the font to be in black?Here is the code:

trying to make a simple web app that will let a user select from a catagory, then, when the catagory is selected, it stores the selection in a php session variable, which will be used in another sql statement to retrieve a locations list where catagory = "the stored catagory selection". The new list of locations will be displayed in a second div and each item in the locations list will also get information from the database when selected. Im able to pull the first catagory list from the database and show the div that they are displayed in using jquery and php but the new list of links will not change to show the contents of the third div.

probably a simple question but I can't for the life of mefigure out how to do this:I have a page that has information on various # anchors, a list ofthem are at the top and once clicked I need the one clicked to becomeunderlined and remain underlined untiled a different # is clicked.How on earth do I do this? I've managed to use jquery toggle to turnon an underline once it is clicked, but i have to click the same linkagain to turn it off, which is not what I want, I need it toautomatically turn off once a different link is clicked

I have a function that dynamically creates links for a photo gallery. The function also produces a larger image as a background image of a div when and thumbnail is clicked on. What I want to do is have a third event, where if the user clicks the enlarged image in the div, the jQuery Fancybox loads an even bigger version of the image being displayed in the div. The problem is that the link for the anchor tag I'm using is created dynamically, and I know that Fancybox parses the HTML when the DOM is ready...unfortunately my function changes the DOM by appending the anchor tag for the full sized image. I need is using the Fancybox's options to specify the href attribute for the plugin.

There's a feature I want to implement, but don't really know how to code. The intention is to use jQuery to convert words with a certain class attribute into Wikipedia links.
An example to make things clearer:
PLAIN TEXT: There is a <span class="wiki">penguin</span> there.
EXPECTED RESULT: There is a <a href [url] there.
Hence the code would have to grab the string of words inside the tag and place them inside a href with the first part of the link already attached to it. Doesn't seem too complicated, but I wasn't able to do it.
I have been trying to use the code below (created by Patrick Haney and improved by enraged) as a basis, but no deal. This code subistitutes words for code, but it searches for specific words.
If anybody knows a script like that, modify the code below,

I have a form with several rows and each has a text box labeled 'Status'. The user should be able to change the value of Status, then click Save and a GET query will be run in an iframe without interrupting the browser window. To do this I am using a onkeydown event so the Save button's (which is an a href link) href address is changed to what is in the box. But I can't get the box's value to change! Code:

Ok save it and test it out. I am writing this kinda fast so if it doesn't work pm me or reply to this topic. Ok we will go over what it does now.
1. First it gives you the prompt name then age. It checks whether they are both filled in and if they aren't it says to reload. Otherwise it writes down the link. Next we will go over the link.
2. Here is the infrastructure of the link.
1. The start of most links "<a href="
2. The starting of the string for the browser to connect to " " "
3. The tag that defines a javascript page and its name is dp. "javascript:dp"
4. What the javascript equals " = "
5. Start of the string for the javascript to do " ' "
6. Now it displays the text Your name: "Your name:"
7. It now appends the variable from the script name to it. EG:your name you entered. "'+name+'"
8. It makes a line break and displays the text Your Age: "<br>Your age:"
9. It now appends the variable from the script age to it. EG:your age you entered. " '+age+' "
10. Leaves a blank space " "
11. Starts to end the javascript string by closing the space for text and a semi-colon to end the page. "'"

I have an external JS menu of links which get underlined on mouse over
as specified through CSS. But since I break the bulleted list of
link-lines myself, there is an extra space underlined at the beginning
of the new line that is created after the break that reaches from under
the bullet position to the first letter of the continuing text. Is
there any way to get rid of this empty underline at the beginning of
the line.

Disclaimer 3: Before asking for help, I researched *several* forums and although I found people discussing similar issues,
implementing a method to intercept and redirect external links to a dynamic iframe. By "dynamic" iframe I mean an iframe whose SRC would be filled up in accordance to the external URL being intercepted and that it would resize its HEIGHT accordingly in order to avoid scroll bars.The function for resizing the iframe id="child" is already correctly implemented like so:

My application reads an array of URLs in Javascript and displays them in a table. I need to create mouseover events for each of the links (just an alert message for now.) I have tried this a few ways, but for each one the mouseover event fires for each link before anything else is loaded on the page, and when the page is loaded, no link is displayed. Here are the two ways I've tried:

I'll admit to being a newbie with JQuery, XML and Ajax. I'm trying to create a page which pulls dynamic links from an XML file. Here is the page: [URL] Here is the link to the xml file: [URL] I can get the url to pull as text, but I cannot make it into a link, no matter what I seem to try. I'm sure it's a syntax error - but I just don't know enough to know what it is. I'm also going to need to pull a URL for an image, and I am guessing that the process is similar.

I have a content slider called "Codaslider" (ver 1.1 I believe) setup, and using CSS I have an absolute positioned image hovering above the slider at all times. The effect is what I want, where I have a static image of my company's product hovering above the content slider, and the background images slide around showing various features and such.
I would like to make it where the customer can click anywhere within the bounds of the content slider (including on top of the static image), and be able to follow the link for the image in the content slider.
For example, if the background image shows "New Features" or something similar, I want the customer to be able to click anywhere and get to the "New Features" page.
So basically, is there a way to dynamically set the URL that the static overlaid image points to, based on what page the content slider is on?

It's very similar to spell checking in the textbox but I need to validate based on specific numbers.Let say the user can only enter from 1 through 100000. So, when they enter 100001 then I wanted to be highlighted in some way. It could be red text, under line, or change background. For now, I can validate if they entered invalid number...however I can't change the invalid number in the textbox.

Iīve gone thru a few exaples of the 'hello world' equivalent for ajax; the classic example having main.html with div id="main_panel", then having ON THE SAME folder of the main.html file, the few files for getting via ajax and then render itīs content inside div id=main_panel and so on, happy with that;my question is: All of those examples, always get those 'few files', lets say, one.html, two.html, and so, in the same folder where main.html resides; I want to achieve to have the 'some files' in a different folder, letīs say, /editors/ relative to the path where main.html is; Iīve done this, the ajax call works fine; the PROBLEM is that the xmlhttpresponse (consumed ajax text) wich is basically html 4, changes the links (hrefs) in those to the path of main, letīs say, for example, one.html has a link that points to itself, not an anchor, just a link pointing to itself as we often use for pagination of a grid, well, that link href attribute is changed to the path of the main.html file, and not preserving the original href attribute... why? where should I start from? changing the context parametere prior to calling ajax get?

i have some code as follows

when i click on a <a> tag with class poplight this works fine. But when i add another anchor tag dynamically to my page (without a page reload, via ajax) like below...

and if i click on that anchor tag that was no placed on top of my first row it does not call the click event instead i can see the variables i tried passing through that anchor tag on my url.

I have a textarea that has a Bold, Italic and Underline buttons that change the appearance of what is in the textarea.
If I highlight a word in the textarea and hit the Bold, Italic and Underline buttons it changes the appearance of the word.
Everything works great and now I want to add a color button and Link button. The color button should change the word color and the link button should make the word into a link. Both buttons dont do anything.
How to make them work?
