I have a form with several rows and each has a text box labeled 'Status'. The user should be able to change the value of Status, then click Save and a GET query will be run in an iframe without interrupting the browser window. To do this I am using a onkeydown event so the Save button's (which is an a href link) href address is changed to what is in the box. But I can't get the box's value to change! Code:

The new list of locations will be displayed in a second div and each item in the locations list will also get information from the database when selected. Im able to pull the first catagory list from the database and show the div that they are displayed in using jquery and php but the new list of links will not change to show the contents of the third div.

My application reads an array of URLs in Javascript and displays them in a table. I need to create mouseover events for each of the links (just an alert message for now.) I have tried this a few ways, but for each one the mouseover event fires for each link before anything else is loaded on the page, and when the page is loaded, no link is displayed. The function also produces a larger image as a background image of a div when and thumbnail is clicked on. What I want to do is have a third event, where if the user clicks the enlarged image in the div, the jQuery Fancybox loads an even bigger version of the image being displayed in the div. The problem is that the link for the anchor tag I'm using is created dynamically, and I know that Fancybox parses the HTML when the DOM is ready...unfortunately my function changes the DOM by appending the anchor tag for the full sized image. I need is using the Fancybox's options to specify the href attribute for the plugin.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a content slider called "Codaslider" (ver 1.1 I believe) setup, and using CSS I have an absolute positioned image hovering above the slider at all times. The effect is what I want, where I have a static image of my company's product hovering above the content slider, and the background images slide around showing various features and such.
I would like to make it where the customer can click anywhere within the bounds of the content slider (including on top of the static image), and be able to follow the link for the image in the content slider.
For example, if the background image shows "New Features" or something similar, I want the customer to be able to click anywhere and get to the "New Features" page.
So basically, is there a way to dynamically set the URL that the static overlaid image points to, based on what page the content slider is on?

There's a feature I want to implement, but don't really know how to code. The intention is to use jQuery to convert words with a certain class attribute into Wikipedia links.
An example to make things clearer:
PLAIN TEXT: There is a <span class="wiki">penguin</span> there.
EXPECTED RESULT: There is a <a href [url] there.
Hence the code would have to grab the string of words inside the tag and place them inside a href with the first part of the link already attached to it. Doesn't seem too complicated, but I wasn't able to do it.

not entirely sure this is possible but I have a site people (owners) to use in the shop. I need to make a public accessible side using the same layout. I decided frames would work for this calling content in sub frame. The problem is 2 of the links in the content sub frame contain sensitive information. I cannot change the content or it will affect lots of other users. I cannot edit the content as it affects too many people. It does not reside on the same server.
So I need to change what happens when 2 of the links are clicked. I know the urls, can I force, maybe using code embedded in the top frame, to make 2 links go somewhere else. I.e page loads 2 frames, one is header, other is content.

I am trying to make the link on each day in the calendar go to a new page on the site instead of populating a form with the current day.
For example, if you click July 6, 2011 I need it to go to /events.php?page=calendar&event-date=2011-07-06 The link shows "/events.php?page=calendar&event-date=" when you hover over it, but it does not actually link to anything. I also need to dynamically pull the date clicked into the url.

I've got an iframe on my page that displays my affiliate's webpages (located on their domain).
Two concerns: First, all links within the iframe reveal their domain name in the status bar and in the page source, i.e. <a href="affiliate.com/buy.htm">.
Second, the links in the iframe have target="_blank" which opens new tabs/windows, also exposing their domain to my customers.
Would it be possible to replace all instances of "affiliate.com" inside the iframe to "mysite.com"; whereas, "mysite.com" will be a proxy forwarding requests to "affiliate.com"? Keep in mind that these elements do not have ID or Class.
How can I change the links for a given domain from http to https? For example: [url] would become [url]

I'm trying to add a very simple gallery where the photo is at the top and thumbnails are underneath. All I want to happen is that the photo changes when you click on one of the thumbnails.
