I suppose I should somehow loop through all the labels, and for each find the next input. Then make a selection of this union and apply a wrapAll('<div class='field'>) But how exactly do I do this using jQuery manipulators?
I made this function to duplicate form elements with a little html-code surrounding the input fields. First i clone the html of the first child found (always gets rendered by php). Then, everytime the add-button is pushed, i append a cloned piece of that stored html. It's working fine except for the delete button.
It's seems that whenever a cloned html is removed, the other cloned elements aren't recognized anymore by the delete buttons (although the delete buttons are in them)
I'm trying to figure out how I can create javascript code in a bookmark that pulls the names and values from the form inputs in a loaded document.In addition it would also be nice if the code knew which form has focus and just pulled the input names and values from that form.I've been trying to figure it out, but the only portion I could get to work so far is:
Code: javascript:(document.write(document.forms[0].elements[0].name)) I don't really know where to go from here. Writing javascript in a javascript:() seems to be different and beyond my level.
<label for="field_id">Field Name</label> <input type="..." id="field_id"/> <!-- or textarea/button/select -->
...I'm doing this...
$(':input').each(function(){ var $field = $(this).wrap('<div class="wrapper"/>'); var $wrapper = $field.parent(); var $fieldID = $field.attr('id'); [Code]...
It feels pretty clumsyIs there a more elegant way? Maybe even through chaining? Sometimes the <label/> will be before the field and sometimes after...
I'm building a body shape calculator which jQuery Cycle turns into a truly beautiful form. However...
The original problem:When a parent element is the slide, any child form labels and inputs cannot be selected if the same click is used to advance the slide. They can be clicked, and the slide is advanced (they were given a 'next' className), but the input is not selected/checked.
[Code]....
While my calculator form UI feels great using cycle, I feel like I'm totally underusing an excellent plugin when it comes to the 'next' functions - do I need to use a 'before' callback instead? I'm not 100% sure how to employ it.
How can I make an image label that when I clicked will change from one label to another.
Let say I have index.html where my label is displayed. Then I have label01.jpg to label20.jpg stored on label sub folder.
What I want is to be able to change my label one at a time from label01.jpg to label20.jpg everytime i click the label. then go back to label01.jpg after label20.jpg
For illustration purpose, see image below. I want the label to change every click until I got the label right for the video screen. I have 20 video screen in one page and I need to change the labels depending on the video.
Actually a more preferred solution is for the script to cycle through all the pictures on my label folder so that if I have new labels I only need to dump it in the folder and it will become available.
I am hoping you can help me. I am finding this problem rather complex to solve. I need to be able to find the surrounding text at the mouse position. For example, if a user clicks on a word in a paragraph, I need to programmatically know what the text is surrounding the click point. The text in question is not just content text, but DOM elements read in as text rather than the DOM element itself. For example, if a user clicks at the word "This" in the following:
<table><tr><td>This is good</td></tr> then I would like to know how to get the text "<td>" just before the "This" as text, not as a DOM element. Furthermore, how can I "enlargen" the scope of my capture, such that I can programmatically get the "<table><tr><td>" part as well as the "is good</td></tr>" part?
Whenever execute the following code, the URL that is formed has "?" before my name and an "=" before my value (so the URL would be "[URL]"). I need the URL formatted so that a "+" is in front of the name and a ":" (colon) to be before the value (i.e. formatted like "[URL]"). Is there a way to change this behavior? $.ajax({ url: lansaUrl('proc', 'func'), global: true, cache: false, type: "GET", data: ({"acct": object.value}), dataType: "json", success: function(result){ $("p#customerInfo").innerHTML += " "+result; }, error: function(xhr, desc, exceptionobj) { alert(xhr.responseText); }});
Basically I want the field name to be a variable but it is taking it as a literal.When I print back the POST array with PHP I get:- Array ( [field_name] => Whatever I typed )So if the text field has a name of 'username' then I want the PHP to print back
Array ( [username] => Whatever I typed )
$(function(){//on DOM.load $('.register-field').blur(function() { var field_val = $(this).val();
As you may have guessed contentLength is dynamic, coming from webservice. For this example its value is 7 but it can be 9 or 23 etc.. The idea is to group the <li> tags in six surrounded by numbered divs for each group, just like the previous example. How can I do it?
let me say up front that my experience with JavaScript and "Ajax" interactions has been horrific. There are weeks I will never get back because of it. Whenever I encounter something so horrific that it makes me blank my memories of the event, I find myself going back and trying to take different approaches to understanding what happens.
This current round of experiments involves sending and receiving what is effectively an associative array. That is, I want to send dom names and the associated values via XMLHttpRequest calls and on return, get a set of dom value pairs and push them back into the current environment in the browser.
what I need to figure out how to do is associate a series of DOM's with a button, extract the information when the button is pressed, and then present the entire array to a CGI. On return, I would need to take the same array from the CGI and transfer the contents into the specified DOM's
if this is not practical, tell me so and I go do something else which is probably more fun. If it is practical and has been implemented in some toolkit, fantastic. It saves me some pain. If it hasn't been implemented, well, there goes the more hours that I will never get back.
There are two radio buttons, sometimes one will be disabled, other times the other will be disabled. I would like to make a script that: First: Changes the color of surrounding text of the disabled radio button to the color grey. Second: Checks the other radio button.
This was my plan: I would make a script that: First: Removes all the current classes and add the class "greyed_out" (or better: change only the color of) the parent element, all siblings and children of siblings (if any) of the radio button that is disabled at that time.Second: Sets the attribute "checked to the other radio button". I made a script, but when I set the bottom radio button to disabled the script doesn't work:
<select> <option value='a' > First <option value='b' > Second <option value='c' > Third </select>
Is there a way I can access the values First, Second and Third from an array ? I want to write a javascript function that can automatically select one option based on a regular expression match of First Second or Third.
...which suggests my JavaScript is partially working, but is failing on my attempt to make Key/Value pairs. Unfortunately, I'm not knowledgeable enough on JavaScript/DOM to identify an error and would be grateful if a more seasoned programmer could let me know the error of my ways.
I have a task that could be made much easier if I built a simple tool to parse through a CSV data pasted in a text area and it spits out specific the parts the name/value pairs I need. I do not have the luxury of a database and the data is a bit sensitive or else I would not be needing your fantastic assistance and I would have churned out some server-side magic.Anyway, what is tripping me up is the necessity for regular expressions (and my lack of experience in this area in general), which can drive a man to drink. I can work with the code to get the specific parts I need and manipulate what is spit out to my specifications but its the starting point that I need help with.
I pasted a sample section of the data I need to parse through.I am pretty sure I can work with the data once it gets split into an array that can be searched through.
Ok so the problem is when I mouse over the left nav menu all is great, when I mouse over the newly created DHTML menu in the middle the seperators(black before mouse over of the DHTML menu) disapear on the left nav menu and there is now white space surrounding the buttons on the left nave menu. IF you switch to full screen mode(F11 I think) I can see the actual graphic on the left nav menu changing and that is what is causing this, but I cant find it in the code.
I have narrowed it down to my framework.js script but no idea where it is within this code. I can post that code in here and maybe you can see what I mean and I will attach a screen shot of the problem.
I'm not sure if I'm calling it the right thing, but I'm trying to dynamically create a bunch of key => value pairs in a javascript object.
Something like this:
Code JavaScript:
But the console gives me errors, and I haven't been able to find a way to do this. I've tryed putting the keys in square brackets, as was suggested somewhere online, but that didn't work.
I need to have this setup as a client side cookie (javascript disabled - no problem).
I need to store in the cookie page name, first name and last name (and there are about 4 more items). Should i save a different cookie for each item here (all javascript examples show this) or can i do some thing like this?
I am simply trying to retreive the value of a label. Here is the label: <asp:Label ID="Label3" runat="server" Text="I love ASNA"></asp:Label>
Here is what I am trying to do with JQUERY: See LINE 1 and LINE 2 below. It comes back with UNDEFINED/ < asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderID="PageScriptPH" runat="server" > <script type="text/javascript"> var ATTDTA_CLICK_ACTION_CODE = 'X'; var ATTDTA_DOUBLE_CLICK_ACTION_CODE = 'X'; wingsHelpers.subfile.assignDoubleClickAction( "ATTDTA", ATTDTA_DOUBLE_CLICK_ACTION_CODE); var p = $("#Label3").val(); <======== LINE 1 alert(p);<======== LINE 2 </script> </asp:Content>
I have the following radio boxes. A total of five in all. I'm trying to get a scale from 5 to 1 where the user agrees or disagrees a question. However, the client is looking for a scale from Agrees to Disagrees. This is a drupal site and I am using a module for my survey that generates the survey. There isn't an option of leaving out the label. I was hoping to use JQuery to change the displayed text from a '4' to ''.
I'm using javascript (JQuery) to calculate the value of my textBox, "mMontantTextBox." I'm going to run into problems with this being a "read-only control" of my TextBox. In the first screen, I have a TextBox, mNombre50TextBox, the user fills in the number of tickets they want in the textBox.the sum is displayed (by calculating with jQuery) in another textBox, mTotal50TextBox, and the total bill is in 3th (another) textBox, ,mMontantTextBox... Then (when the user clicks a button), the information is backuped for the following screen on the second screen, I display the sum in a "Label", mPriceLabel, if my textBox, mNombre50TextBox, without "read-only control" :
