JQuery :: Cycle Plugin Doesn't Recognize Vertical Photos (they Are Displayed Horizontally)

Cycle plugin displays horizontally my vertical photos (photos taken with my camera in portrait position).The same photos are displayed vertically (the right way) by other imaging applications (e.g. Photoshop and Finder or Preview in OSX).The same photos are displayed horizontally (the wrong way) by Safari and Firefox (IE not tested). Cycle seems to rely upon browser poor orientation recognizion.how to make Cycle Plugin aware of the right photo orientation?

I am looking for a image gallery that will work where some photos are positioned horizontally and some are vertical. I hope it is possible. The photos are for an artist that I am working with. I hope someone will have an answer. It doesn't have to be fancy. Even a simple magnifyer would be fine. I guessed that javascript might be the most appropriate form.

On page load, the cycle is displayed above some content that should be below the cycle.
And after doing a page reload, the content is indeed pushed down and the display is then correct, with the cycle above said content.
I suppose it is due to a loading race condition, the images being loaded before or after the below content...?

I'm currently usingMalsup's Cycle plugin. I am just wondering is it possible to have cycle plugin return the index number of the currently displayed slide? I want to change the content of the page when a specific slide is active. Don't know how to achieve that..

I'm trying to load the Cycle plugin with a JSON feed from Picasa.Everything is pulling in from Picasa just fine. I can copy the exact HTML that it generates and paste it into my code and reload, and it works fine, but not when it is dynamically added via Javascript.URL...Here is my javascript code that pulls in the feed from Picasa and then initializes Cycle. I also automatically generate the thumbnails for the pager here too. Does Cycle read from the raw html rather than from generated html? [code]

I have yet to be able to do this successfully. I am using the Cycle Plugin to cycle through a series of images and corresponding caption. To show the images, I use:

Problem: The captions do not effectively cycle. What appears is the first caption from php the_excerpt but it does not change to the next php the_excerpt text. Can I solve this problem so I get the text from php the_excerpt to correspond to each image??

I am a total jQuery newbie and am looking to find a slideshow slider plugin that will support 3 photo slides and 1 video slide. Can anyone tell me if anything like this exists and, if so, which one would work for me? I like Coin Slider because I can link the images but it doesn't mention if it supports video as well (which I don't need to link).

I have a site that I am developing where I use the prettyPhoto plugin to display larger size versions of photos. I have everything configured as per the directions on the plugin page here: [URL] I am experiencing a weird issue however. When I mouseover my anchor image, the mouseover is only on the top and bottom half of my image. The whole middle section of my anchor image is getting no mouseover effect. Meaning my cursor only changes to a pointer on the top & bottom parts of the image. It changes back to a regular cursor when directly in the middle of the image. The anchor image (the image I'm using to link to the larger version) is sized 333px wide by 500px tall and I am linking to jQuery version 1.5 as hosted on the Google api server.
prettyPhoto is working perfectly except for this mouseover issue. I do have a caption telling the user to click the picture to see the larger version, however if they mouseover directly in the center and don't see the mouseover effect they may think something is wrong. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong and how I could fix the issue?

I am making this drop down menu with several options depending on your choice. It works fine in FF but when I tried in IE simply won't recognize a Value. The window keep popping out even though you choose an option, this way won't let me go to the next step.

alright, im working on a page that has a drop-down menu in it...it uses the onChange event to trigger the different links (only one at the moment, but still)...and now XHTML doesnt validate it as a recognizable attribute...so is there some way to somehow target the drop-down menu's onChange event from a separate .js file? heres the basic code:

I am having an issue with pausing the cycle from links within the cycle. I have set up a cycle that contains a html contentent including a 'video playlist'. This is a javascript based list that updates a flash video player with a new video inside the cycle. The videos are loading fine, but for some reason when i call the cycle 'pause', it dosent work? i have testing the $('#feature').cycle('pause'); from a link outside the cycle and that seems to be working, but it seems to be from the links inside the cycle content. here is the code i am using (i have made a custom crossfade transition)

I'm trying to implement the jQuery Cycle demo from 'mapsup dot com slash jquery'.It works, but my problem is that as the page loads all 3 images are shown briefly, one on top of the other. Once the page is fully loaded everything works OK. I've try removing all unnecessary CSS in an attempt to get it to load faster but it doesn't help. I'm running this on a Drupal site and have tried with caching enabled and disabled, but neither makes a difference, so I'm thinking the problem lies somewhere else. I define a cycle in document.ready as per usual. In my cycle I have different sets of images that i want to cycle through and only want certain ones to cycle as selected using the slideExpr option.
Is there a way to change this option from:
SlideExpr: 'a'
To:
SlideExpr: 'b'
Another alternative i've considered is to make a cycle of cycles.

I've worked though a lot of issues trying to get the jQuery cycle plugin working in a relatively complex situation but have hit yet another wall.
Basically, I'm trying to get the jQuery Cycle plugin to cycle through entire divs, each one of which contains yet another slider platform built in jQuery. The first div always displays exactly as it should but when I click to transition, the elements within the second div appear stacked instead of side by side on the slider as they should. I've tried modifying the CSS in every way I can think of to prevent this, but so far, no dice.
I'm not sure whether its an element of the CSS for the second slider platform (wp e-commerce product slider) or one of the two platforms themselves. One thing I did notice was that one of the inner slider divs "gallery_slider" is automatically being set to 90px wide which is way too thin, but I can't seem to figure out how to override this if that is actually the problem.

I have a form, with a submit button. Inside this form i have one input text field, in addition to an add more button to add more of that input field using JQuery .html(val);. Now the issue appears when I submit the form, all inline added input fields are not recognized, they are not set and there is no data for them in the POST.

I've been working on a project for some time now, and just recently I installed Firefox.
Now, part of the site (which works perfectly in IE6/7) doesn't work in Firefox.

The main problem is with the link (Firefox apparently doesn't recognize table rows as links). The second problem is with the onmouseover/onmouseout etc handlers (absolutely nothing happens).

I'm using the most basic functionality of the Fancybox plugin. All renders fine in FF 3.5.9 & Chrome 4. Wouldn't you know it, IE 7 has a problem, it does not display the close box and doesn't honor the location of the title. You can see the problem here: [URL]

I'm a bit new to jQuery but am loving it so far.. especially the cycle plugin. I have a strange problem that I've not been able to find the solution to anywhere else. Everything works just fine with the exception of one issue thats causing me problem. I'm using cycle to control 3 different fading animations on my page. On 2 of the animations I'd like to pause cycle after the image fades out for a few seconds but before cycle fades the next image in. The catch is that I want the timing to be different for each pause before the next cycle begins.
The goal is for#hpcontent,#hphead,#hpfade3to fade out all at the same time. Then for#hphead to pause for 2 seconds before it fades in the next random image, and#hpfade3to pause for 3 seconds before it fades in the next random image

I am calling a custom method to validate adate input element (this element is an array ). Upon validation, a message is displayed against each date input element, even if the others are valid. If one date element is invalid, all other valid date elements too show the message. How do I make sure that the error message is displayed only for the invalid element?

I have an alert message which is displayed with a timer of 10 seconds. I start the timer and minimize the window. For firefox the alert box pops out and is displayed on top of everything but in ie it doesn't do the same so I have to open the window manually to see the alert message.
