Onmouseover Not Firing In Firefox - Doesn't Recognize Table Rows As Links

I've been working on a project for some time now, and just recently I installed Firefox.
Now, part of the site (which works perfectly in IE6/7) doesn't work in Firefox.
Here is part of the code:

The main problem is with the link (Firefox apparently doesn't recognize table rows as links). The second problem is with the onmouseover/onmouseout etc handlers (absolutely nothing happens).
just in case you need to know, the code is for a nav bar.

I want to switch entire rows/columns around in a table. Move rows up/down and move columns left/right. This works fine in IE/opera but has a few problems in firefox.
First of all, is this the 'right' way to do this or is there a better way? Firefox doesn't support swapNode().
When moving rows up/down (top one in demo) firefox takes a few clicks to work when it should be one click on the button. I have no idea why. Code:
I use the below code to add or remove a row from a table using javascript. The code works fine on IE however it doesnt work on Firefox, can anybody suggest reasons why this might be doing so?
The id "table1" is the ID of the table I am trying to insert the innerhtml into.

I am making this drop down menu with several options depending on your choice. It works fine in FF but when I tried in IE simply won't recognize a Value. The window keep popping out even though you choose an option, this way won't let me go to the next step.

alright, im working on a page that has a drop-down menu in it...it uses the onChange event to trigger the different links (only one at the moment, but still)...and now XHTML doesnt validate it as a recognizable attribute...so is there some way to somehow target the drop-down menu's onChange event from a separate .js file? heres the basic code:

i'm creating a ASP page, which is going to have a form in it that needs filling out. part of the form will be a table with a header row, then the next rows will have text boxes that need filling out. is there a way of putting in a dropdown box that contatins numbers that will dynamically show the rows. for example if i select 5, then five rows of text boxes will appear. if i select 14 then 14 appear.

The problem is that the only place where the click event fires is on the rows that were added when the page was 1st rendered – the th, for example.I also tried adding an onclick event handler to the input button’s creation – that also does not fire.

I have a need to select all table rows in the outer table of a cascading table structure, that is a table with contained tables. I tried to use the "Context" section of jQuery, but the table rows of the sub tables are being selected as well.

I'm trying to use an onmouseover event to change the content of an image tag. So basically, the image tag has a default picture which the user can see when he visits the page. Then on rolling the mouse over this image, I want another image (003.jpg) located on my server in a folder called images, to be displayed in the image tag. So I created this function that should do the job and placed it in the head of my document.

I have some initialization to be done at page load time, which changes the text of some anchors so that they are consistent with the query string (these anchors are used as criteria selectors, and should be initialized to the criteria contained within the url).
IE and Safari fire the onload event before rendering any elements, so when the event handler synchronizes the anchors, they are rendered with the right contents immediately. Firefox, though, renders the page first, and then fires the handler, which results in the anchors getting their initial values, and then changing to proper selections. I've tried calling my init() method immediately after the anchors are defined in my document - no difference, looks like Firefox is rendering everything as soon as it's encountered in the document.
Is there any way to have my code run before any elements are rendered in Firefox? Currently I've "solved" this by hiding the containing div in the document, and showing it after making changes. This results in the UI visually reloading itself with each new page, which is not very desirable either.
I have a web page, in a frame set, that has a table-menu bar in javascript. It relies on the "movein" function attached to "onmouseover" to trigger the chaninging of the elements background color, text color, and pointer when the mouse moves over an element. On IE the code below works fine. In firefox none of the movein function doesn't seem to be triggered (none of the above effects occur) UNLESS I force a reload of the frame. Then everyting works fine. What I am trying to accomplish is this, I have 4 radio buttons with something different on each. Now depending on what is selected, a table shows with maybe 10 items (its very random really, could be 5, could be 50, but probably more like 20 at most), anyways. I was thinking just delete all the rows, and just recreate the table... but now after thinking about it, just make the tables invisible, and visible depending on what is selected... which is suggested, and could anyone give me hints, or show me how I would be able to accomplish this?
I have a frame set (as per MS FrontPage 2000). It has a contents and a main frame. The contents frame has a menu bar written with with javascript (in the context of a table). In IE6.1 everything works fine as it also does in firefox if I call the contents frame directly (i.e. outside of its frameset). However, if I call my main page (index.html) which invokes the frame set, the contents frame javascript menubar onmouseover function doesn't seem to work though if I reload the contents frame directly it then does. I am experiencing a problem with some images I am using for navigation. In Safari on my Mac everything displays as it should. The image loads ok, I mouse over the image and it goes black and white, mouse out and it goes back to colour.
When I tested this with Firefox and Opera on my Mac and IE8 and Firefox on my Windows laptop the onmouseover image does not appear and I am left with a text link and a lot of flickering as you move the mouse about.
I have almost zero knowledge when it comes to javascript and I've got the necessary code which according to everyone works from either books or the web.
I am completely stuck as to why this simple operation is not working.

Only the left hand image has been set to onmouseover as I was testing to see if it worked first.
