I'm currently usingMalsup's Cycle plugin. I am just wondering is it possible to have cycle plugin return the index number of the currently displayed slide? I want to change the content of the page when a specific slide is active. Don't know how to achieve that..

On page load, the cycle is displayed above some content that should be below the cycle.
And after doing a page reload, the content is indeed pushed down and the display is then correct, with the cycle above said content.
I suppose it is due to a loading race condition, the images being loaded before or after the below content...?
I have a series of slideshows on a single page. They activate (independently) on mouseover.
At present, the slideshows pause on mouseout.I would like for each of them to return (paused) to the first slide instead. Ideally this return to the first slide would also be a fade transition.

I have a page has multiple slide shows in it, and have written a little script to loop over and implement the function. I'd also like to diplay the current slide number under each sideshow ("2 of 5 images"). I tried a few ways to go about this (using the variables that should be floating around pager or prevNextClick). Neither worked. In the past I've had success with idx etc

Cycle plugin displays horizontally my vertical photos (photos taken with my camera in portrait position).The same photos are displayed vertically (the right way) by other imaging applications (e.g. Photoshop and Finder or Preview in OSX).The same photos are displayed horizontally (the wrong way) by Safari and Firefox (IE not tested). View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using the jQuery Cycle Plugin now for a variety of clients and feel pretty comfortable with implementing it and how it works. I rarely have any difficulties and it always seems to shave time off my projects. Its really is an awesome plugin that I am extremely grateful for. That being said I'm having a little difficulty with a more involved implementation on a personal project. [URL]. The plugin is working correctly - but not ideally.
Each image and title you see is a callout for a blog post. The posts are automatically added by calling the WordPress theme's "loop" - a PHP function loading the information and images from the last several posts written - then it displays each post's featured images, titles, and other info inside divs labeled "post". Afterward, the jQuery cycle plugin uses all the "post" div's to create a great user-interactive recent blog-post slider - using (my favorite) vertScroll effects.
What I'm looking for is a way to display 2-3 posts at a time instead of just 1. I've seen people have 2-3 images displaying per scroll by adding two-three images into a div - and then having that div (with more divs) cycle. What prevents me from doing something like that here is the fact that the list of blog-posts is dynamically populated by PHP. There isn't a way (I know of) to insert a </div> after 2-3 posts and then open a new <div> for the next 2-3 so that the cycle plugin knows where to stop the scroll content.

As implied by the subject, my question concerns jquery.cycle plugin and I have 2 questions. I tried to find answers searching the web, but didn't find any. I'm currently using cycle to built a photography website and enjoy it a lot so far. However, I'd like to display/update the image number at the same time as the legend (taken in the "alt" of the images). i.e, I'd like to be able to write something like "current frame number / total number of frames" in a div, somewhere.
It looks like somebody heavily edited the cycle plugin for the[URL].. to do what I want, but it's not really made in the most elegant way (the cycle plugin is modified, the div name is hard written in the code...). If I find no workaround, I might do it the same way, but I'd prefer avoiding modifying the plugin, if that's possible. So here's my first question : Does anybody know how to display the frame number (and total number of frames) using the standard plugin, only putting some code in the after: function callback ? Second question : with IE7, if all images are already in cache, they all display on the page before the cycle starts and hide them. (one of the page is here : [URL]...

Im using the cycle plugin trying to make a banner slide tha is 100% the width of the window, my problem is that when i resize de window the banner does not align center, it stays somo what left align. So is there a way to keep the slides align center after you resize the window usingthe cycle plugin? or is there another plugin that i can do that? Problem: The captions do not effectively cycle. What appears is the first caption from php the_excerpt but it does not change to the next php the_excerpt text. Can I solve this problem so I get the text from php the_excerpt to correspond to each image??

This is a javascript based list that updates a flash video player with a new video inside the cycle.
