JQuery :: Auto Play Is Not Working In Slider?

JQuery :: Auto Slider Speeds Up With Upgrade
Jul 25, 2011 After upgrading from 1.5.1 to 1.6.1 the auto-play feature of this slider speeds up. I'm using this code: [URL]. 4000 milliseconds is specified in the script if you view source, however, if you let the slider run for a few minutes(I haven't determined a consistent time frame for this) then the slider begins to change one after the next almost immediately without waiting 4 seconds.
.attr() is used once in the script, but after reading the core teams suggestions regarding .attr() after upgrading to 1.6.1 it doesn't seem like I'm supposed to change anything.
Same problem with this slider which is from [URL] simple-jquery-image-slide-show-with-semi-transparent-caption:

I want to make the #myNewsDisplay to animate height based on #aContent height the problem is that, everytime the news showing up at the beginning the height is automatically set by the last long text height. How to make the #myNewsDisplay height auto adjust the height of every news height?
Making Spacegallery Slideshow Auto-play?
Nov 4, 2010I'm not a complete Javascript idiot but I am new to Jquery and not used to the way it's written so I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to do what I need to do. I'm working with the jquery slideshow called "spacegallery". Here's a link:[URL].. As you can see, when you click on the front image, it triggers the animation to the next slide. I'd like to set this up on a timer so it'll happen automatically.
Here's a link to the JS file doing the actual work:[URL].. The key function is "next", which starts at line 57. This function is "bound" to each individual image - I think, or maybe to the image container as a whole - at line 118.
I tried using setTimeout (line 191) to trigger "next", but it complains that "el is undefined". I think this is because "next" is expecting a parent node that was clicked - an image element or something like that.
So I think I need to figure out how to pass the current/front-most image element in my setTimeout call of "next". But I can't figure out how to get a handle on that element - doesn't seem to be an obvious array of image elements I can grab, or a current element counter.
Perhaps another approach would be to actually "click" the current main image element somehow in Javascript, so the code registers a click? Not sure if that can be done - can it?

I'd like to attach the pause function to an anchor tag. This feature is not built into the plugin currently and my attempts to contact the author have failed.Here is the code on in my html...

JQuery :: Create A Slider That Auto Scrolls 3-4 Images From Right To Left With No Controls?
Mar 8, 2010What I am trying to do is create a slider that auto scrolls 3-4 images from right to left with no controls. And if the user hovers over it, it stops so they can read the content that is featured. Everywhere I search there are bunch of plugins i.e. easyslider, s3slider, etc. that have tons of code that is greek to me. I tried using the easyslider code and changing things around for it to do what I want, but I was unsuccessful.

But when i put if() operator under processdata() function the whole things hanged and no sound are palying.
I applied it like this way.
I dont know why its not working....i want to play and stop sound name sample.wav from my harddrive if difference range higher or lower than 7.....
JQuery :: Slider Not Working In I.E / What To Do?
Jun 11, 2011I am not a programmer/web developer and have very little knowledge when it comes to coding websites.
I tried to install this slider onto my site: Slides, A Slideshow Plugin for jQuery
It is working just fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, but in Internet Explorer the slider and all of the images associated directly to the slider just do not load! No errors are reported by IE.
I've been googling for hours and have read through many threads on this forum trying to find a solution to this, but have so far been unsuccessful.

Oct 16, 2010I just started with jquery because I need a solution for a website that doesn't involve flash. I found this tutorial [URL]and I tried to modify the code without realy knowing what I'm doing, needless to say, it's not working at all.
Basically I have the same idea for my menu but it looks a bit different, instead of using a line underneath the links I want the scroller-image to tween on the x-axis with the white line stopping in the middle of each button. I made the image to fill the whole page so that it covers the scroller-line image underneath, I want the effect of a line expanding and contracting and this is the only way I could figure to do it.

I am trying to implement this into a new website and have copied the code exactly but for some reason the images are not rotating or switching when the thumbnails are clicked. The new slider can be see here - I have it in a test page so that there is no possibility of any other scripts conflicting.

Easy Slider Numeric Navigation Not Working IE6?
Jan 18, 2011I have inserted the easy slider code into my web page to make a sliding gallery. I attempted to modify the code so that numeric navigation AND arrow navigation (next, previous) could toggle slides BUT I can't see the number navigation in IE6. Every other browser I have tested (mac Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome as well as IE7,8) work perfectly. Nivo Slider Is Not Working For Multiple Times?
