I have inserted the easy slider code into my web page to make a sliding gallery. I attempted to modify the code so that numeric navigation AND arrow navigation (next, previous) could toggle slides BUT I can't see the number navigation in IE6. Every other browser I have tested (mac Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome as well as IE7,8) work perfectly. Since I modified the original, I assume the error is in my javascript code OR in my CSS.Here is the Javascript:
What I'm trying to do is create a static nav at the top of the page and when the user clicks a link, they are not brought to a new page but the page slides vertically upwards to the new page. I found this link which kind of helps but need helptrying to make sense of it all.
I get the navigation disappeared with the nested slider. A workish on line example[URL].. try to click on design and than on the menu below. I don't know which way to turn The script is based on [URL]...
I came across this awesome image slider: Thumbnails Navigation Gallery with jQuery. The problem is ..you have to click on "best shots" to see the thumbnail navigation... 1) How do you show this thumbnail navigation straight away on loading the page? (ie "best shots" and other list items dont need to be there) 2) and get the thumbnails show near the bottom of the page? 3) and also get the next image to fade in automatically say after 5 seconds, without having to click on a thumbnail, although one can?
added a navigation javascript to my page with an existing slideshow javascript. The slideshow javascript loads fine. The navigation javascript doesn't load. Can someone assist me. Here is my code snippet.
Html <script type="text/javascript"> function initAll() {
I am not a programmer/web developer and have very little knowledge when it comes to coding websites.
I tried to install this slider onto my site: Slides, A Slideshow Plugin for jQuery
It is working just fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, but in Internet Explorer the slider and all of the images associated directly to the slider just do not load! No errors are reported by IE.
I've been googling for hours and have read through many threads on this forum trying to find a solution to this, but have so far been unsuccessful.
I just started with jquery because I need a solution for a website that doesn't involve flash. I found this tutorial [URL]and I tried to modify the code without realy knowing what I'm doing, needless to say, it's not working at all.
Basically I have the same idea for my menu but it looks a bit different, instead of using a line underneath the links I want the scroller-image to tween on the x-axis with the white line stopping in the middle of each button. I made the image to fill the whole page so that it covers the scroller-line image underneath, I want the effect of a line expanding and contracting and this is the only way I could figure to do it.
I cannot get two of my three jquery sliders to work on my page. I have three in total the first one works perfectly.. but the second two do not I have checked and double checked but cannot see the issue. The 2nd and 3rd do not display but their buttons prev and next are displayed.. the web address is Site Example
I have a working version of a jQuery image slider that can be seen here. I am trying to implement this into a new website and have copied the code exactly but for some reason the images are not rotating or switching when the thumbnails are clicked. The new slider can be see here - I have it in a test page so that there is no possibility of any other scripts conflicting.
Last year I used jQuery slider to gather input of several continuous variables. It worked very well. In the intervening year I updated jQuery and jQuery slider and moveTo seems to not work. In fact I do not see moveTo mentioned in the slider documents. This worked previously:
I'm messing a lot with the issue but it is driving me nuts Issue is, I'm applying Nivo Slider on 3 instances. It works fine on 2 but not 3rd. If I apply the Nivo Slider on 2 instances then it works fine for 1 but not for 2nd. So Strange.
I must preface this question by admitting that I have very limited coding knowledge.I'm hoping the answer is obvious to someone who is proficient with jquery but not myself.
I'm learning jquery from book Novice to Ninja and the Animated Navigation (site 64) is not working with jquery-1.5.1.min.js (it's workin fine with the old one - jquery-1.4.min.js but since there is new jquery avaliable i really don't want to use the old one).Here is the code...
Code JavaScript: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
I'm trying to implement a minimal navigation bar using jQuery's toggleClass() function but can't seem to get it working.
It's the .img_selector div at the bottom of the page:[url]
I want to toggle the 'active' class for each <a> when it's selected, to indicate which image is showing, so after calling jQuery, in the <head> I've got:
Then the links, which also include the showPic function:
I am not terribly familiar with Javascript but i am looking forward to learning, and currently the problem I am facing is this:I have an a file being included to an .shtml document, that serves as my navigation, the code is like this:
I have a form with two slider on it so the user can select an amount. The slider works fine and passes the values to email ok etc. but when the page is loaded there is "[object Object]" in box of the second slider. I can't find the problem with the code as it is the same for the first slider.
1.I found a Slider Toggle thats demonstrated here [URL] and it seems to work fine but only if the link is placed above the div that slides down.. im trying to make the div slide down from above my menu and i want 1 of the links on my menu to toggle the slider. how do i get it work to where I can place the link below the sliding div? 2. the script originally used .fader{opacity:0;display:none;} but I wanted the slider div to be visible if javascript was disabled so I added
jQuery(".fader").hide(); so its now <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { jQuery(".fader").hide(); $(".fadeNext").click(function(){ $(this).next().fadeSliderToggle() [Code]...
I know this has to be easy, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm debuggin' someone elses code...
x="hello"; +x+"world"
....and I don't get it! What does the "+x+"world" do? If I alert(x) the only thing that comes out is "hello". I also wondered why it doesn't error without the ";" at the end of the line.
This is a novice question, but I'm stumped. I have a variable with a bunch of text assigned to it. Now I want to email the value of the variable. I have a simple form that asks for their name and emails that, but how do I add the variable result?
I know nothing of js yet, I'm still studying CSS & PHP. So I'm just looking for a ready made script for vertical scrolling. I found one that does exactly that, but all the css styling is done in the javascipt, so I was completely lost. I want to be able to just enter the html (into the js array if neccessary, I can do that much lol) and have it scroll upwards, simple as that. The nearest thing I could find to what I want is this Creating a vertical content scroller using DHTML I can style my div & images myself, then all I need to do is enter the html and away it goes, but it functions just like the marquee tag in that it waits for the entire content to clear before it starts scrolling again.
How do I add blank space as acceptable in this expression?
//checks for numbers, - or space only function checkPhone(frm,fld){ obj = eval("window.document."+frm+"."+fld); tstval = obj.value; re = /^[0-9-]+$/; if(!tstval.match(re)) { alert("Numbers or dashes only please."); obj.focus(); return false; } else { return true; } }
