I cannot get two of my three jquery sliders to work on my page. I have three in total the first one works perfectly.. but the second two do not I have checked and double checked but cannot see the issue. The 2nd and 3rd do not display but their buttons prev and next are displayed.. the web address is Site Example

I have a working version of a jQuery image slider that can be seen here. I am trying to implement this into a new website and have copied the code exactly but for some reason the images are not rotating or switching when the thumbnails are clicked. The new slider can be see here - I have it in a test page so that there is no possibility of any other scripts conflicting.

It is working just fine in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, but in Internet Explorer the slider and all of the images associated directly to the slider just do not load! No errors are reported by IE.
I've been googling for hours and have read through many threads on this forum trying to find a solution to this, but have so far been unsuccessful.
I just started with jquery because I need a solution for a website that doesn't involve flash. I found this tutorial [URL]and I tried to modify the code without realy knowing what I'm doing, needless to say, it's not working at all.
Basically I have the same idea for my menu but it looks a bit different, instead of using a line underneath the links I want the scroller-image to tween on the x-axis with the white line stopping in the middle of each button. I made the image to fill the whole page so that it covers the scroller-line image underneath, I want the effect of a line expanding and contracting and this is the only way I could figure to do it.

Last year I used jQuery slider to gather input of several continuous variables. It worked very well. In the intervening year I updated jQuery and jQuery slider and moveTo seems to not work. In fact I do not see moveTo mentioned in the slider documents. This worked previously:

The slider works fine and passes the values to email ok etc. but when the page is loaded there is "[object Object]" in box of the second slider. I can't find the problem with the code as it is the same for the first slider.

1.I found a Slider Toggle thats demonstrated here [URL] and it seems to work fine but only if the link is placed above the div that slides down.. im trying to make the div slide down from above my menu and i want 1 of the links on my menu to toggle the slider. how do i get it work to where I can place the link below the sliding div? 2. the script originally used .fader{opacity:0;display:none;} but I wanted the slider div to be visible if javascript was disabled so I added

Is there a way to ensure that only the first image in my image slider shows while the page is loading? Currently all of the images appear stacked on the page until the page has finished loading.

How to reproduce this effect in something like JQuery? Specifically I'm looking at the hover effects at the top of the page: [URL]. It looks like a custom JS file from their end, but I'd like to find something a little more mainstream that looks and acts very similarly, especially with the easing in and out of images.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI paid a student from the local university to do a basic Wordpress template install [url] for me but the jQuery slider on the front page seems to be hung and never finishes loading. Naturally I can no longer get a hold of the kid and the developer of the template requires a subscription fee for installation support.
It seems like an easy fix but I'm no code sleuth; if I knew what was wrong I'd be comfortable editing the appropriate file(s). Is there an easy way to bring this up in Firebug or something and determine what the problem is?
I have inserted the easy slider code into my web page to make a sliding gallery. I attempted to modify the code so that numeric navigation AND arrow navigation (next, previous) could toggle slides BUT I can't see the number navigation in IE6. Every other browser I have tested (mac Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome as well as IE7,8) work perfectly. I'm messing a lot with the issue but it is driving me nuts Issue is, I'm applying Nivo Slider on 3 instances. It works fine on 2 but not 3rd. If I apply the Nivo Slider on 2 instances then it works fine for 1 but not for 2nd. So Strange.

I'm trying to build a javascript content slider. It slides content like that of techcrunch site on the top of the page. It wouldn't have to be a feed, but I'd need to be able to enter the links manually each time I edit the code. I'm trying to get it, so I can get rid of tables and be able to post many different pages with the ease of just entering the photo url, link url, and content into it for a short message. I linked all the files to the correct places but for some reason the js isnt working? Some of the fonts in the slider are controlled by js files, and they are displaying correctly, so i know the files are linked ok, but for some reason its not grabbing the code to control the slider. I am not sure if its something to do with the file structure used in ci? Is there something I need to be adding in any config files to make js work in ci? View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know whether this is a css problem or a javascript problem. My js knowledge is very basic. I purchase some javascript from Project7 to scroll my pages vertical, and I am having a small problem. There is probably a fairly simple solution, but I can't figure it out.
In this first example, the top padding for the first page is set to 0. Everything works well until the home button is clicked:

In the second example, the first page has the a padding of 260px, same as all other sections (the header is also 260 px). When the page loads, there is a 260px gap between the header and the first section. Once any button is clicked, everything is works fine. Even if the page is refresh, it works fine.

Because I have a web page that i have an image slider, so if I open this page in same page before (window.location="source") so the page is loading very fast, but if I use window.open, the page will open in a new window but very slow and the slide show begin but I see that the page is still loading the images, so as result no images is shown. I need to execute the function for the images slider after the page had completely loaded.
