i need an event based calender using open source how can i create is there any free open source event based calender is there user need to boook and block his dates and edit and book the dates for his requirements
I have a form, that when the user click Submit, I need a php variable to be echoed to the page. This is for an upload page. So when they are waiting for the file to upload, it will say "Uploading..." until the upload is complete.
All I know so far is I need to create a javascript function and include it in the submit button. This is all I have so far in the submit button tag: onClick="Transferring();"
how to create a DIV dynamically. Basicly, I have two labels, and depending on which one is clicked, I want some code to appear inside an existing DIV. Obviously, I will need to do this using javascript and the onClick event. To make things even more complicated, I also want some DIV's inside of the dynamically created DIV. So, the structure would be:
-Existing DIV --DIV created by label being clicked ---Another DIV ---Another DIV
I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. I have some code for the existing DIV.
I'm currently promoting a website that requires internet explorer. I have been showing a page that tells non-IE users (mainly Firefox users) to switch to IE in order to view the page.However instead I want it so that if the current browser is not Internet Explorer it loads the website in Internet Explorer (basically a popup that is in Internet Explorer, and not in whatever browser the user is using).
Why are Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 no seeing this method when IE6 does"
here's the import statements followed by the function imported, followed by the script trying to create a XMLHttpRequest, followed by the in document script using the imported createRequest() function. Code:
Does anyone know how to create a link (<a> . . . </a>) with some piece of javascript code that has the onClick event set for some function that I also wrote (not a build-in function).
I can find all sorts of samples in these disc.groups but none of them seems to work for me.
I am focussed on Firefox, but some code that also works for IE, would be appreciated.
BTW I know how to create elements in the html document, that is not the problem. The problem is that I seem not te be able to set the onClick event for some created element. I tried for both a link and also for a text-element. I can set the onClick for some built-in function like alert('Nice Day').
There are loads of examples to be found for that, and they indeed work.
Unfortunately, if a user opens the link in a new tab (e.g right click->open in new tab), my onLinkClick function does NOT get called. This happens with Firefox (various versions, including the latest one - 1.5.0.1).
Does anyone know if there is a way to work around that and catch even the "open in new tab" clicks/events?
I am trying to use AJAX to do a simple thing of displaying the results in the same page. Clicking on the <a href tag should display the results in the same page. This is working correctly in IE but the onclick() function is not working in firefox and safari.
I've a mapped image and jquery in the following code, works fine with Chrome and Safari, but Firefox doesn't recognize the onclick function. <img id="menu" src="/imgs/home/menuOK.png" border="0" align="left" usemap="Map_Menu"/> <map name="Map_Menu" id="Map"> <area shape="poly" coords="16,189,103,155,99,149,5,169" href="#" onclick="$('#contenuto').html('<iframe src=bio.php frameborder=no width=100% height=100% scrolling=no id=icontent><p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p></iframe>');" alt="Bio"/> <area shape="poly" coords="112,111,61,29,44,43,107,115" href="#" onClick="$('#contenuto').html('<iframe src=video.php frameborder=no width=100% height=100% scrolling=no id=icontent><p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p></iframe>');" alt="Video"/> <area shape="poly" coords="105,120,16,77,7,99,102,126" href="#" onClick="$('#contenuto').html('<iframe src=saundtrack.php frameborder=no width=100% height=100% scrolling=no id=icontent><p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p></iframe>');" alt="Saundtrack"/> <area shape="poly" coords="101,134,4,125,5,150,99,142" href="#" onClick="$('#contenuto').html('<iframe src=disco.php frameborder=no width=100% height=100% scrolling=no id=icontent><p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p></iframe>');" alt="Disco"/> </map>
I'm building a multi-language PHP/mySQL -site. I'm also building a CMS for the site.
There are 5 languages. In the CMS fields for e.g. english bodytext are called (id=) 'bodytext_en'. German looks like 'bodytext_ge', etc.
The '_en' part tells us that it's a textfield for english texts. How can i check if ALL english fields are filled out, without defining each and every field separately. Like:
I have a point where the user will get an overlay div, to keep this div centered I move and mess with the CSS property "top". Though, I was testing and when I tabbed into the following textfield, it pushes the div down - as if there is text in the .val() field. (so it keeps going to the "else" statement even just tabbing INTO the field).
Does anyone know how to fix this and keep it from pushing the div down just from tabbing between textfields?
I have a close buttons wich removes the element from dom: $("#element").fadeOut('fast').empty().remove();
The second time I execute the onclick event, the first code takes approx 1 second, so much slower. The php code execution time is the same as previously.
I seem to be stuck on one part of my code. A quick background, this is a website to showcase various photography services. First, I will layout what I have:
The Javascript for my menu (in the head section): <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var timeout = 200; var closetimer = 1; var items = 0; function dropit(id){ canclcls(); if(items) items.style.visibility = 'hidden'; items = document.getElementById(id); items.style.visibility = 'visible'; }function mclose() { if(items) items.style.visibility = 'hidden'; } .....
Now, here is what I have in the body section <div id="menu"> <ul id="control"> <li><a href="#" onmouseover="dropit('dropone')" onmouseout="mcls()">Wedding Portfolio</a> <div id="dropone" onmouseover="canclcls()" onmouseout="mcls()"> <a href="jamaicawed.html">Wedding in Jamaica</a> <a href="indianwed.html">Indian Wedding</a> </div> </li> .....
So the only thing I can't figure out how to do is create an onclick event for one of the menu items (boudoir) that confirms that the user is comfortable being exposed to a specific (topless) type of image.
I have a website with five links, each with its own id. onClick I would like to create a cookie for the user that adds the link id that they have clicked.I am planning to do this using an array, however, I am a bit confused about the theroy behind a cookie.It is just a text file that can hold any data correct? So I could store an array with
array[0] = hi.html array[1] = hello.html
and later on pull up what is in array[0] to diplay it on the page? Can I do this with one cookie or would I need a new cookie for each link?
I've got some PHP and javascript working together to create a marginless image popup from another arbitrary image. This works perfectly in Firefox, but IE bombs and I'm not really knowledgable about Javascript to be able to tell immediately why. Here's the relevant code from the page:
<a href="#" onClick="window.open('http://www.somesite.com/popup.php?image=popup.jpg', 'popup', 'width=737,height=492, directories=no, location=no, menubar=no, scrollbars=no, status=no, toolbar=no, resizable=no, top=300, left=300'); return false" style="cursor:pointer"><img src="http://www.somesite.com/pics/thumb.jpg" alt="Click here to see a larger image"></a>
I can't fire my function with onclick event in Firefox.My little piece of code works perfect inIE. but in firefox it just doesn't work and no error in firebug by theway.I'm using Firefox 3.0.9This is the code:
<script type="text/javascript"> function del(mesId) { $(document).ready(function() {
I am trying to query the value of a textfield outside of a form but with no success so far... the reason why I am not using a form is that there seams to be an annoying issue with hitting the [Enter] key (at least in Mozilla) when there is only one textfield in the form... the [Enter] key seams to trigger some type of a submit... but when the textfield is defined outside of a form this is not an issue... However I don't know how to access the value for the textfield outside the form.. Code:
