I d like to know that is it possible to submit data to the server or to an email from the client using JAVAScript? I know that javascript is clientside,but if you work with Facebook, when you chat, just view its source, u ll see that is using Javascript? I d like to know,how is it possible?
collecting players name and it will make a rank/tables by itself.Theres a link for each players of course but i dont remember ALL of them :P.its like manipulating the stats and compile a rank.
I am writing a form that grows using ajax server responses to info as the form is filled in and everything is fine in standards compliant browsers but IE is having a problem. I have two js functions on the page that collect form data, send it to the server, and then write the server response as innerHTML to specified divs on the page. This works great in FF but in IE it runs the first function but fails on the second function and the two functions are identical except for the server routine.
The div that is populated with the server response so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the coding because if one works, and they are identical, the other should work too so perhaps IE is choking with the way it is handling two ajax objects on the same page? You will need to add something to the shopping cart first at [uRL] and proceed to checkout, then on the checkout page look in the url and change ste_chkout_proc to ste_checkout_proc and load the new url to see the dev checkout vs. the live checkout.
have a small problem and hope you can point me in the right direction ore solve my problem
I have a wrapper Inside a div with $tabs within every tab a table , wo 's working with datatables.js within the tabel several rows with image and tekst the picture's are opend with fancybox. In fancybox the titel of the picture is under the picture.
I need to collect all the style information from an indesign file and i have to display as combo box and the user should seelct the style name. The selected style names i have to list in a seperate text box and when i select okay i have to search some text and replace in the document where this selected style name paragraphs only.
I am trying to get all the div tags in my page into an array but only the tags with the ID "image**". Below is what I came up with but this doesn't seem to work, even after googling a bit I couldn't find any solution. I can't seem to come up with a solution.
function divs() { var divs = document.getElementsByTagName('div'); var ImageTags = []; for (i=0; document.getElementsByTagName('div').length; i++) {
I have a html file that I want to load, loop through the json data and for each json entry I want to add a new block of the html and insert the json data into the matching div/class of the html. json looks like this:
So for each json entry of name/age, I want to insert that into the html, and then add another row, until all json data has been fetched. After this I want to insert all of this into #box, which is just a divthat should contain that html. Looping like this obviously does not work, since I just keep replacing the same html through the loop.
I have a database search web application in which the user is presented with a search page. The search page has a number of values by the body onload method.
My problem lies when the user selects search. The user is taken to the results page but when the user returns to the search page he or she is presented with a blank search page with default values set.
What i need is for the form to hold the users input until the user selects a clear button.
how can i get data ( a div) from an html page and put it in a different html page in a certain place? i can't get it to work !! i need something else i think!! i need it to load when i click on a link or a text am i missing something?? i've put the code in a click function but it doesn,t work...
for example there is site with address www.X.com, that has the price of some product:<div id="product1">price: 100$</div>now I wanna make site www.Y.com and then, I wanna read the price of product1 which is in the site www.X.comwe can read the value in the html site with javascript command like this:String s = document.getElementById("product1").valuebut how can we read this value in out of that site automatically?
I have successfully converted my .tiff file to a text file. This was a major step. My issue now that i am facing is "capturing" pertinent data. I am attempting to do this by running a JavaScript to create an HTML file from the .txt file. I am having trouble figuring out how I am going to pass the argument of a .txt file and embedding it into the HTML page.
I've gone back and forth on the best way to store data in HTML elements which is used to support JavaScript. For instance, I might have a bunch of rows each associated with a SQL ID, and upon clicking the delete element, want to grab the id, and send it to the server. I've successfully used the following three solutions, but would like to standardize on just the best.
Option 1 is technically valid, but seems excessive. Option 2 will work fine, but is considered by some as bad practice. Option 3 requires the extra step of splitting the ID from some identifier string, and care not to have the same record twice on the page.
I'm trying to grab a variable from a URL and dynamically embed it into HTML code. So for instance, if I own the site test.com and I enterideo=bunny.mp4&height=720&width=480",I want the returned page to be an embedded video of bunny.mp4 at the height and width specified. I know the embed code, I just need to know how to parse the URL and write it inside of the HTML.
$('#mood').html always contains the value of the values food_rate and tax_rate had before I loaded the new values in. (Before Line 1 and 2 happen)I already red, about event bubbling and event delegation, but the html-elements fax_rate and food_rate exist from the beginning, and only their innerHTML does change.
I stumbled across jQuery while during a search for my project that involves parsing and extracting content from HTML pages. I have a collection of xpath strings that identifies the data I would like to extract. Wondering if I could use jQuery for this purpose.
I am working on a simple tool for my office.We have a very huge database with 5000 tables. All the tables, Columns and their attributes are stored in to excel sheet.
Tool I am designing is for mapping between front end and back end values. Now I will use an image (front end screen of our application) , when user clicks it, I need the HTML to access the excel sheet and display the back end field,the name of tables it can be found in and other data related to that field
Simply,I want to pull data from excel and display them differently for each different click. I want to pass the parameter on click and filter a column in excel with it and display the entire set of sheet with this criteria. Is this possible? or am I expecting too much
I have a table that displays a list of groups. You can add, modify, or remove the group. I have three functions in my JS:
[Code]...
Using AJAX, PHP, and jQuery, when I add a group, it posts to an "addgroup.php" file, and then returns that data in JSON format, and I then tell jQuery to display that data in HTML. Here's the problem now... The table does not render properly. There is no padding/margins. Even worse, if I Add a group, and then click the "X" to delete the group (without refreshing the page), the data posts, and returns (i get a response in my console confirming the removal), but the entry that I just added does not disappear (as it should) unless I refresh the page. When I add a group, and then view my page source and inspect the element, all of the appropriate HTML is there, but it just doesn't seem to be rendering right.
I'm using DOM in javascript to extract data from a dynamically generated html table( table id ="tableId"). Each cell of the table includes an input field to get user input. The problem is below javascript returns "null" always when retrieving the input field value? What I'm doing wrong here?
var mytable = document.getElementById('tableId'); var mytablebody = mytable.getElementsByTagName("tbody")[0]; var myrow = mytablebody.getElementsByTagName("tr")[0];[code]....
I have come in need of assistance in guiding me in the right direction. My intentions are to create a web-based page where one can select from a few drop down menu's, and enter a few select pieces of information. This information would then be logged for later purposes, when the user chooses to retrieve this information (during the initial usage, no long term storage) in the format of a report.
I am passing an argument from the first page to the second using form "get" method.
My second html page is a dynamic page.So i couldn't retain the data which im getting from the first page because when the second page is refreshed the data is lost as the URL content is changed.
