'display' Window To 'register' Window

I have a table that is written from 'display' window to 'register' window. It is a CART TABLE. It is suposed to cut down on posts to the server and is written entirley with client side javascript. There should really be ony one post to the server when the clients' order is complete and the adjustable table is posted.The cart table in 'register' window has two viewable rows and has a scrollable window in the Y plane. One fixed Header and The getElementsbyClassName works with 'sumsubtotal()' but not with 'qtymultiply()' and this might be a result of refrencing the same class 'itemrow' twice even though I've declared them localy within seperate functions, my guess is that the getElementsByClassName is global and can only refrence the class 'itemrow' once?

Is there a way to display the file selection window for a file input field via JavaScript? My goal is to emulate the behavior seen in Yahoo! Mail BETA. When adding an attachment, it displays a file selection window when you click a custom button/icon. I saw an example of using CSS to actually position the browse button behind an image. I am hoping that isn't the only option.

I'm currently paying for a web service on a hosted platform. Basically, I'm unable to edit any raw content, however I am able to do things like add JS/HTML to the header or footer of a page, which will in turn be displayed on every page of this platform. My dilemma is, I only want content being showed on a single page of the platform. Specifically, I want a window.alert being displayed on the "/signup" page, but all I have to work with is JS in a global footer.Is there some way I can use window.location to achieve this?

I need to display a table in a new window. when I click on a button, I got the values displayed in the same window but in a fresh page. I want the values in a new window instead of same window but in a fresh page. The below function gives the table for an array called num which is in the same htm file where are all the other functions are. As I need to use this num Array, I cannot write the code in a new file and call the url in the window.open method. Is there a way where I could write the code for the new window in the same htm file and just make the values display in a new window when I click the button. I am currently encountering a problem with setting "display" property from "none" to "block":
Browsers will refresh itself when the display property is changed; this causes the element to display then suddenly disappear after the page reload. Do you guys have an idea what I can do to avoid it?
I tried using jquery's show command, css command with setting display to block, and pure javascript method like document.getElementById("theId").style.display="block".

I am trying to usw window.open , upload a file in the child window and then referesh the parent window. But once upload is done, window . opener .location.href or opener.location.replace sends a message back but I get a pop up blocker, so if I turn pop up blocker off, it opens in new page. I just want the parent page to refresh on the same window. This works on some employees stations but not on others..I don't know if there are any settings on IE that need to change, I tried everything...weird. does any one done this before?

I am trying to pop up a window and then do stuff(set flags) when the content of the new window is done loading. For this I am trying to detect the window.onload of the pop-up child window but so far I am unsuccessful. I believe my problem is that the URL of child window is on different domain, than the one of the opener(parent) so that the window.onload is not being called. Though this may change, at the moment I do not have access to the code for the page I'm opening up in the pop-up. Im pretty new to web development.
