I am trying to create a tic tac toe game using jQuery. In the game the player starts a game and when someone else does the same they can then play each other.
So far I am stuck for ideas as to how to construct the javascript. This is the javascript i have so far.
Code:
Should i use a plugin? I thought it would be easier..
I am studying webdesign and we also go through a chapter of javascript-programming. Our first assignment is to create a dice game. I have written a code and in the beginning it worked, except that all the dices showed the same random number. I tried to fix that and now I do not know what I have done! In the game, you shall click on a link and the three dices will show random numbers.
Which program do you use to create your 3d characters? I'm trying to get into 3d programming but don't know where to start. I've looked at the o3d plugin and javascript is straight forward to me so it seems like a good place to start. I wanna create a world maybe more like a car racing game instead of a mario style world.
I have to create the 15 puzzle game and im having a difficult time getting started. i need to create a table (4x4) that has one empty space. All the other spaces must have a random generated value between 1 and 15. All i got so far is a onclick image swapping function.
I am trying to create an xmlhttprequest object to update the shopping cart on my web page without submitting the entire page to the server for processing. However, what I have done so far is not working. All that is happening when I click the "update cart" button is the page sort of flashes and the check marks in the remove item check boxes disappear. The first code snippet is the "traditional" way of submitting the whole page to the server for processing - and it works. The second snippet is what I have done to try and implement AJAX to submit only the shopping cart - and it does not work.
The website I'm working on has a top banner that's loaded from the database. It may be an image, animation, and even HTML code, including <script> tags. Everything is working fine, HTML is loaded correctly, except when I insert a script tag. Here's the code I'm using, which partially makes the <script> work in Firefox, but not in any other browser:
I m getting problem while creating a dynamic website. In Ajax I have good tutorial book. but it missing, "how to create XML file filled with data which comes from SQL server. How to retrieve the data from XML file.
For a social system I am working on, I am in desperate need of being pointed in the right direction for how to create a live ajax feed which calls data from a database.
I'm actually new on jquery ajax. I just wanna ask a little idea about how to create simple file upload (with form) using ajax. I tried using this code: //form html <p id="status"></p> <form id="form1" enctype="multipart/formdata"> <input type="file" id="photo" name="photo" /> <input type="submit" id="save" name="save" value="Upload" /> </form>
I am creating an admin in ColdFusion and am trying to add a feature where when the user clicks the "edit" button for something, a modal window will pop up which contains a form (loaded from an external file) that when the user submits it, it's an AJAX submit and then the modal window closes and fires off a function that updates the display page. I am using SimpleModal [URL] and I managed to load an external form file into the modal window using $.get but then I can't figure out how to get that form that loads in the modal window to submit via AJAX instead of the default form post that happens. I need to submit their data via AJAX and then if successful, close the window and do the update function on the display. Has anyone already done this?
I want to create an AJAX sender form for a contact page.
My standard php mail() form does not work on the server I have a site hosted on so I am going to send the request to the form on another server.
What I want to do is use AJAX to send the data in each section of a form to another URL (external) but I don't want to go to another page.
So I really want the AJAX form to send / post the data, get a tell back signal to say if it worked or not and then dependant on that I would like to load a success of failure page.
I'm trying to create a simple registration form with ajax validation. I've got the form working almost how I'd like... a message appears on the page with the errors for each field entered incorrectly.
The problem is all the error messages appear in one div together and I would like to have each field have its own div containing only its own error.
I think I need to wrap my error messages in xml and use something like this - Code:
- but can't seem to get it working
Does anyone know how I should modify my code to do this?
I have a page which has a dropdown box.On selection a value is sent to a php script (Ajax), based on the value a html table is created and sent back to the responseText.The table is outputted to the html page, I want the table to have sortable columns, so I have used jquery datatables for this, but it is not working.I have cut and pasted the exact table into the html and ran the page, and then sorting works.
I'll admit to being a newbie with JQuery, XML and Ajax. I'm trying to create a page which pulls dynamic links from an XML file. Here is the page: [URL] Here is the link to the xml file: [URL] I can get the url to pull as text, but I cannot make it into a link, no matter what I seem to try. I'm sure it's a syntax error - but I just don't know enough to know what it is. I'm also going to need to pull a URL for an image, and I am guessing that the process is similar.
if(document.getElementById('level').value=="e"){document.getElementById('question').value=em1+' times '+em2; cr=em1*em2} if(document.getElementById('level').value=="m"){document.getElementById('question').value=mm1+' times '+mm2; cr=mm1*mm2} if(document.getElementById('level').value=="h"){document.getElementById('question').value=hm1+' times '+hm2; cr=hm1*hm2}
if(document.getElementById('level').value=="e"){document.getElementById('question').value=et1+' minus '+et2; cr=et1-et2} if(document.getElementById('level').value=="m"){document.getElementById('question').value=mt1+' minus '+mt2; cr=mt1-mt2} if(document.getElementById('level').value=="h"){document.getElementById('question').value=ht1+' minus '+ht2; cr=ht1-ht2}
I have been making a game in javascript. The game works now but I would like to know if the user has completed the game. Hope some one have an idea on how to find out if the user has completed the game. Code:
I am trying to get a line of text that a user types into a textfield to appear somewhere else on the screen. AT teh moment when the user presses submit it refreshes the page and does write the text line to the screen but it is a brand new page and I lose all my content.
