I have to create the 15 puzzle game and im having a difficult time getting started. i need to create a table (4x4) that has one empty space. All the other spaces must have a random generated value between 1 and 15. All i got so far is a onclick image swapping function.

I have done some work using javascript and css and html. Let me explain whole work: there are two select box one is for adults and other is for childs. I have done all rows are by default are invisbile when we select 2value from adults its will show two rows for adults and maximum we can select 6 adults so i have write 6 rows are invisble for adults and if we slect 2 from childs then it will show 2 rows for childs. By default it will be already invisible. But now problem is that i want to remove this space between child row and adults rows which i have done invisible.

But problem is that i want to remove this space from between child and adults ,and childs and other code . Because for adults max value we can select 6 and for child also we can select max 6 so these other 4 rows for adults and childs are invisible in code.
I have very limited experience with web development so apologies if this is a stupid question. I'm using some code I found online to show/hide a table using javascript. Everything works as it should EXCEPT that in Firefox rather than having the table auto-size each column to fill up the entire width (900px), the table uses the minimum width for each column necessary to display all of the data. I've tried a number of things (setting overflow, manually specifying div width or table width, etc.) but nothing seems to get it to take up the full width as it does in IE and Chrome. I can add rows to a table dynamically. Usually triggered by a mouse click but something I am trouble with is how to get the table to a state with no rows or columns just like it has no contents. do believe I can use this codedocument.getElementById('results').tBodies[0];but I am kind of clueless where to find a complete DOM reference or a manual and don't know the attributes or properties I must use to empty (if it is even possible) a previously created table.

So far i've only been able to append rows to existing rows, or clone an existing row. Is it possible to insert a new row? The table html is already present. View 8 Replies View RelatedI was having no problems at all testing at home (FF, in private mode to keep cache clear, and error console to check... also Opera and Safari) when I suddenly lost functionality on several jQuery functions, all of them similarly structured. Couldn't find the problem; updated jQuery; stripped the codes back to one particular function; still no clue.
So: now the puzzle isonline.
The calls to load the elements in the page are in the <body> tag.
These capabilities work correctly: resizing, scrolling with arrows, popup from underlined link, dragging. What doesn't work is what should happen when you hover on any of the six-line figures: You should see a number underneath and on click, a change of color, and new text on the left.

Testing again online, Opera (mac) now functions correctly. So, I think it may be something to do loading. I've put a delay to make sure the elements to be operated on are loaded before the functions which do the operating. Still no dice. It also seems to load really slowly, but that's minor at this point.

my html form contains a table tag <table id="MainTable">. i would like to populate this table using a javascript function. my probllem is that i created a table that contains another table inside on of the <td> tags. i tried to write the most basic code:
