I have done some work using javascript and css and html. Let me explain whole work: there are two select box one is for adults and other is for childs. I have done all rows are by default are invisbile when we select 2value from adults its will show two rows for adults and maximum we can select 6 adults so i have write 6 rows are invisble for adults and if we slect 2 from childs then it will show 2 rows for childs. By default it will be already invisible. But now problem is that i want to remove this space between child row and adults rows which i have done invisible.
[Code]...
But problem is that i want to remove this space from between child and adults ,and childs and other code . Because for adults max value we can select 6 and for child also we can select max 6 so these other 4 rows for adults and childs are invisible in code.

I have written some JavaScript that I can use to remove a table row from a table. If I have the table:
[Code]...
I also have JavaScript that will add a row to the same table. I've found that if I add a bunch of rows, when I delete one, there is a small amount of whitespace added between the permanent row and the others. It seems like while the row is removed, some remnants of it remain. Is there a way to get rid of it completely?

I have very limited experience with web development so apologies if this is a stupid question. I'm using some code I found online to show/hide a table using javascript. Everything works as it should EXCEPT that in Firefox rather than having the table auto-size each column to fill up the entire width (900px), the table uses the minimum width for each column necessary to display all of the data. I've tried a number of things (setting overflow, manually specifying div width or table width, etc.) but nothing seems to get it to take up the full width as it does in IE and Chrome. You can see the page / code here: [URL]
The javscript I'm using is:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
function showHide(_myObj,_action) {
var _myTableObj = document.getElementById((_myObj.parentNode.id).substring(0,(_myObj.parentNode.id).indexOf('_')));
if (_action == 'show') { .....

I have a table which contains a link to add rows in each row after the header. This link, when clicked, adds a row beneath the row which contained the clicked link. This part works perfectly.
However the added rows each have a link to remove themselves from the table, and this is the part which isn't working properly. What's supposed to happen is that you click on a link, and then the row which contains the link you just clicked on is deleted.
What's actually happening is when the "remove" links are clicked, first the row 2 rows above it is removed, then the row directly above it, then the correct row (itself) is deleted.

I'm trying to remove onchange events from <td> attributes but I can't get it working. I have tried many ways of doing this but this is the way that made most sense to me and still didn't work.This function adds a new row to the table "searchTableResults" and I'm trying to make it remove the onchange attributes on all cells from the previous row. This is sort of the same effect when adding records in Access (a row is added every time you add data in a cell in the last row)
function addSearchRow() {
var mydiv = document.getElementById('searchTableResults').getElementsByTagName('tbody')[0];
var newRow = document.createElement('tr');

I'm building an application where the user can add Questions. For each Question they can add x answers or remove them (see screenshot). I can add questions and add/remove answers, For each question that is added I update the 'gameQuestions' variable with 1; The same goes for answers that I add: for each added answer I update the 'counter' variable with 1. When I remove an answer, the app. doesn't know how many answers each question has, it simply decreases the "counter" variable. So when I remove the 2nd question, it doesn't know how many answers that 2nd question has! How can I store the number of answers per question and how do I remove them correctly?
Here's my code so far:
$(document).ready(function(){
var gameQuestions = 1;
var counter = 1;
// Add a New Question...
$(".addQuestion").click(function() {
var question = "<table id='questionSet"+gameQuestions+"' class='form-table' style='background-color:#cccccc; width=100%;'>"; .....

I have a table with a number of rows in it each with a delete link which calls $("#" + id).remove(); of course passing in the right table row id each time. I also have a row at the bottom that has divs with totals of columns in each row. After I add a row to the table I call a function that goes through each table row, gets the values that I need and keeps a running total. I finally update the divs in the last row with these totals. However, when I do the row.remove() and then call my calculate function it never completes.
In my debugging it looks like the tblWorksheet table that I'm trying to get to, to get it's rows, is no longer recognized. So I'm wondering if instead of removing the row by the id if I need to call the remove function on the table to tell it to remove the row. If so I'm not sure of the syntax to do that. The following doesn't work.
$("#tblWorksheet").remove("#" + id)
If that's not the case, why I couldn't get to my table after removing the row?

I'm dynamically creating a table. I create the <tr>s with five <td>s. I then remove the third <td> and would like to add the cell variable where I removed the td. The creation of the table works, the removal of the td works, now how do I add the cell var where I removed the td? Example here: [URL]
Code JavaScript:
function CreateTable() {
var array = ["one", "two", "three", "four", "five", "six", "seven", "eight", "one", "one", "three", "seven"];
var listItems = "";
var tbody = $('.tbody');
var cell = $('<td>', {
className: 'open',
html: 'Open'
});
$.each(array, function(index, val) {
var row = jQuery('<tr></tr>')
.append('<td>' + index + ' - ' + val + '</td><td> open </td><td> open </td><td> open </td><td> open </td>');
$('td:eq(2)', row).css('background-color', '#eee');
$('td:eq(2)', row).remove();
row = row.add(cell);
row.appendTo(tbody);
});
}

i want to allow only legitimate clients to access my service thru javascript, loosely. I think i should issue a scurity token to each of them, so every access has a valid token within the http request. the request will then get a "session" token which will be attched to all the remaining calls for a certain period of time (and can be viewed). and the javascript code embeds the security token for the initial call will be removed thru obj.removechild() or like after the "session" token obtained.

While testing my pages in IE and Firefox, I have noticed that when I
remove an image from the DOM before it has finished downloading in IE,
that the status bar gets stuck at Downloading Picture https://....
Which means the page never finishes loading, I have tested by just
making the images style.display = "none" and I no longer get the error,
but since this is an AJAX app, that would just leak memory as images
would never get deleted when people traverse the web app. Has anyone
else experienced this behavior or have a possible solution?

I would like to have two columns, the left column showing all available items with an add button. The right column showing all of the added items, and then adding these together to provide an order total, but with the ability for users to add to the quantity or remove from their order.I have the add item to order bit working on, and the sub-total is working.I started to try to add on add/remove buttons to the right #your-order column but am getting stuck.Every time a user adds another item to their order, more buttons are added, and I can't get the "remove item" button working.The page is located here:URL...Should I paste the jQuery code I am using here?

I've been learning a lot about jscript and PHP while I've been building my site...now I'm curious about using a little ajax. I have an internal email setup on my site where users can contact one-another...when you click on Inbox, Sent, Drafts, ect it calls a php script and reloads the page. I'm considering for my next release, doing this with jscript but my question is this...
When I print info to the page that I'm on, how hard is it to get rid of the old data that was there? This might be the easiest thing in the world but i don't even know what to call this on google. Also, if that's the norm, how hard is it to add data to a page with out getting rid of whats already there? I've been reading about ajax and I've been using jscripts to check my forms and do simple things but I'm really interested in learning what I really have the power to do here...

The Farbtastic color picker is an elegant solution to the color-picking problem, but its usefulness is prohibitive in those situations where there is not enough screen real-estate. Because it is large, these are many. Since I want to use it in such a situation, I started working towards a solution.
The designed solution involved in clicking on something small, such as Click to Activate, and having the rest of the page become faded-out, while the color-picker appears superimposed over other parts of the page.
That solution is implemented up to a point. In the code posted:
- The trigger appears as part of the original DOM.,
- Clicking the trigger makes the page text fade, the color-picker appear, and the trigger changes to something like Click to Deactivate,
- Upon clicking, it does disappear, and the page text resumes it original appearance..
After this point, one might work towards making it more modular and more easily usable as is farbtastic itself.
It requires a var to hold state, and other things. Ideally, it could be combined with the original to offer a wider range of usage patterns. I have no doubt that the code can vastly be improved, since I am relatively new to jquery, although not to computing.
The code is posted below, in the hope that it proves useful to others, The only change made to the farbtastic.js code itself is to add "id='fbc' " to the outermost <div which is added internally. This change is not shown because it would involve posting all of farbtastic.js for this one change. The section of text used to illustrate presumed page content is from the NSIS Users Manual, and has no significance beyond being some text. The div named 'overlay' was employed to allow shifting the whole thing around as a unit relative to the trigger but might be eliminated were that not needed, since everything else works without it, Note also that the input#color from the original farbtastic has been replaced by 'repeater' which is a <div, but seems to work ok to get the color info.
