JQuery :: Ajax - Script Which Loads New Content Onto The Page When The Main Navigation Links Is Clicked
Sep 21, 2011I have an ajax script which loads new content onto the page when the main navigation links is clicked. I also have a jquery script which fades divs in and out when another subset of links are clicked.
I guess these scripts essentially do the same thing but the first basically is loading in 'pages' without the page having to refresh. The second is just fading in and out divs that are on a page.
The problem is is that the second script only seems to work once, when the page is loaded.

Apr 1, 2009The pagination itself WORKS FINE. However, I'm trying to use a tooltip script on an image hover, and though it works fine if the page is properly cached, it does NOT work as I go from page to page, using the pagination numbers to navigate. Oddly, if I click on the picture itself, the tooltip works. You can see what's going on here [URL] when you roll over the top three images they do not initially utilize the tooltip script. However, if you click the image, it begins to show the larger image. Here is the javascript code associated with the PAGINATION, thought I really don't know where the problem resides:

My standard php mail() form does not work on the server I have a site hosted on so I am going to send the request to the form on another server.
What I want to do is use AJAX to send the data in each section of a form to another URL (external) but I don't want to go to another page.
So I really want the AJAX form to send / post the data, get a tell back signal to say if it worked or not and then dependant on that I would like to load a success of failure page.

I want it to be a drop down where you can click on it and the bar drops down or just a cool navigation bar.
Second one is fine. I just have words for navigation now and want to make a box basically around the words so it's easier to click on the links and more recognizable.
Anyone know of a good program for website also? CSS/HTML roughly $200 that will help me build a website from scratch.

I'm sure it's a syntax error - but I just don't know enough to know what it is. I'm also going to need to pull a URL for an image, and I am guessing that the process is similar.

1) From a home page, click on one of two buttons.
2) The buttons disappear and in their place another pair of buttons appears with different options.
3) After clicking one of these buttons, an 'accordion' style selector appear with a final set of options.
The key thing is that the objects dynamically appear and disappear within the same area of the webpage.
Would jQuery be the tool to make this happen or should I look elsewhere?

However, I would like to use JavaScript and CSS instead of Flash. I would be super grateful for any suggestions on how to do this. I am currently using the InnerFade plugin, which works great for the slideshow part, but I can't figure out how to integrate the navigation; I'm not even sure where to start! I'm open to starting over from scratch and not using InnerFade.

Oct 11, 2010I'm trying to use spry to create an accordion navigation system. At the moment I have just inserted it using dreamweaver, and I have been able to change the look of it through CSS. However, I would like the panels to only open as large as their contents, rather than a fixed height, if you understand what I mean. I read through the adobe help and it says:"The accordion also supports variable height panels. i thought this would be quite an easy task, however i have ran into a problem i just cant understand..
i've written a function called GetPage(page) which sends an XMLHttprequest to a serverside script (via New Ajax.updater("script.php?id=1234","content"); )
however the function is not displaying the server response in my "content" div. a live version is avalibe here Strange thing is if i add Alert('hello');

The pages which are loaded look similar to the main page shown above. It works fine, except the fact that the whole page is loaded into the "gallery_content_right" DIV (including header, navigation and so on). Is it possible to just load the DIV "gallery_content_right" from the other pages, so that just the content from "gallery_content_right" is replaced onClick()?
Ajax :: Site Navigation Module Not Loading Correctly
Jul 7, 2009I had posted this issue previously regarding my Ajax site navigation module not loading correctly. It would load on certain parts of the site and not others. After some research I have discovered that I need to redirect from "www.mydomain.com" and make a call to "mydomain.com" instead. I thought a 301 .htaccess redirect would work but according to the site that sold me the template the script in my configure.php file must be changed. This is what configure.php looks like now.

AJAX :: Jquery Conflict - Implement A New Scroller For Some Navigation In Site
Apr 23, 2011I am trying to implement a new jquery scroller for some navigation in my site and am running into some problems. I had a different version of the scroller working as well as the ajax calls to the content. Now with the new scroller there are classes created by the javascript that seem to be interfering with the ajax. You can see in the example shown : webdesign The solo link works fine (without the extra classes) This is how it was set up before. I am having to use a new scroller because I need to make the navigation dynamic and have to be able to create a single list of links that can then be cut up into sections by the JS, rather than building the list out in sections to be scrolled. If you are familiar with these scrollers then you know how they work.
This is the one I am using now: [URL] Then one I was using before is this: [URL] How can I get this to work. I tried disabling the creation of these classes but then it didn't scroll at all. I don't know JS enough to dig into the file or to figure out a solution.

User will write some input, it will be added to file in specific place.
I need an ability to change element value in file (in one of them - depends what user choose) (or it even can be some trigger word it-self like CHANGE_ME for not to use attributes)
Create a temporary copy of edited file and create a unique temporary link to it.
I don't know what to start from.... For now I know how to make XHR, but what to do with other extensions?
Have no idea how to save the NEW file (a copy of original file) on server , and create a UNIQUE link ,and delete the file right after it was downloaded.
