View 1 RepliesIn our application we have used json data and we get json data from the server and on client side we display in grid. We have functionality of paging and filter. so on paging and filtering we process that json data and show to user. For filtering we are comparing each value to the filtered criteria and when json value is more thatn 35 kb it takes around 8-10 second to filter it. So is there any way that we can minimize the processing tiem.

Change the image every few seconds.
Slip into any element of the webpage.
All images will be the same size. Some landscape, some portrait.
Looking for this to work all in client’s scripting. or maybe AJAX
ser is able to create queries and issue them. The query is sent to the web-app by means of an ajax call. Then, the server computes the result set and a small subset (100) of tuples are sent back to the client for visualization.
These thing works with queries that are simple and do not require to the database long computations. As soon as I try a more complex query (computation requires ~ 7secs), the answer returned to the client is empty.
I suspect that this is a problem of timing out the connection, is that possible?
(edit) I have almost forgot, I'm using Prototype as JS library
I have a very large tree data structure and I want to display some of its sections on a HTML page. I wrote the following JavaScript that loads parts of the tree dynamically injecting the desired HTML code.
Code:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"/>[code]....
Each show_xxxxxxxx() function displays desired part of the tree on HTML.The problem is each time I load the HTML file it takes a lot of time to read the JavaScript (there are many show_xxxxxxxx() functions with a lot of HTML to insert).Is it possible to cache the loaded JavaScript into browser memory so it won't read the entire script when I reload the page with different content?
i need use jquery time picker: http:[url]....and jquery validation plugin: http:[url]....When i link this librarys timepicker dont show time good: http:[url]....but when i take validation plugin away, timepicker show time good:

I do pretty much all the computer related tasks, which includes computer system repair, audio/video editing, cd/dvd printing and duplication, document format and creation, etc etc. But when it comes to HTML (or other codes) I know very little. But we needed a website, so I use Homestead hosting and the Homestead (offline) Site Builder program.
Anyway, inside the sight builder program, they have the option to insert HTML Snippets. Which I use for various objects, off site tools, and other. But now I need to do something for which I have not been able to find a "premade" html code object, that can perform the task desired. I have searched and searched google and went through many sites, including this one. I have tried to take some codes which I thought I could alter to make it perform, but they just wouldn't work for what I needed them to do.
I need a code that will automate a "specific text message" to change daily, and to schedule a "different specific text message" to appear each day. I need to be able to schedule each days "texts" at the very least 31 days in advance. In other words, I need to make an array (I think that's what it is called) for the entire month:
Day 1 "today's text 1"
Day 2 "today's text 2"
Day 3 "today's text 3"
[code]....
If were possible to make an "array" that would go six months out (or more) that would be very helpful! But the longest that I have seen is one month at a time, so that may be as long as they go, but I'm not sure.On top of all of this, I need these changes to be performed at a specific time of the day. I would like them to be preformed at sunset everyday, but I don't think there is anyway to direct the code to look at like [URL] sunset times or such. So if I can at least choose a specific hour, like 8:00 pm, that will work, I will just have to adjust this every once in a while.
However, I don't want it to change just at 8:00pm in my timezone. I need it to change at 8:00pm according to the website viewers timezone. Is there a way to make the code "look" at the users computer and "get their time" and use that to adjust what text is displayed? In other words, I live in Indiana USA. If someone in Australia looked up the webpage on the 15th day of the month, but it was 9:00pm Their Time. The text I need to be displayed should be for "Day 16" from the array.
I need three tabs out of which only one is open at a time n when u open another tab, one out of the earlier closed one should open(preferably with mootools). And also the tab which is opened should come at the top of the page as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to implement a time calculator onto my website with preset times to tell how long it would take to make troops. Say you want to make 100 Catapults and each Catapult takes one minute and ten seconds to make, I would like to be able to show the time in days /hours / minutes preferably in the format of 0:00:00. I would like it so someone can type in the amount of troops they want. There are Infantry that take 0:00:22, Cavalry that take 0:00:52, Archers that take 0:00:35 and Catapults that take 0:01:10.

I want to make a custom visitor tracking tool and like Google Analytics it must be able to track how long time visitors spend on each page.How do you recommend doing this?I thought of using the Javascript onload event to start counting time serverside and then the onbeforeunload event to do tell the server to end the time count. I'm just skeptic of an infinite visit duration if the visitor's browser for some reason doesn't call the event (ie power outage).

My website was recently ftp hacked and a file inserted into it - js.php - which seems to be some sort of advertising spam programme. Having spotted the file I have renamed it to hide it but lots of other sites are still referring into my site looking for this php file. What I would like to do is to *just* open a java alert box on the referring sites to alert the users that the site has been hacked and that they should notify the webmaster so that he can fix his site.The line referring into my site is -
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.mysite.com/js.php"></script>
Is this something simple to do?
