I have a script that will slide a div up from the bottom of the page. The toggle button for this div however is going to be right on top of the sliding div. But, when the button is pressed and the div starts to slide down, the script hides the button. Here's an example... [URL] How can I get the toggle button to slide with it, but not disappear?

I have selected a list that contains sub-lists. Now, I'd like to search for the list items that contain sub-lists (but not including

I want to get the details div from the li that has an a tag with the class of selected. How do I write that correctly? I tried the following:

I only want the results from the li that has an "a" tag with the class of "selected."
I've started a course on web design and I'm busy with a assignment on Javascript. I need to make a contact list which I'm nearly done with but I'm stuck with one bit, validating select lists, I want to do it using a case construct but I'm not sure how cause mine doesn't want to work.

The letters will have the bands listed under them and then when each band will be clicked on a selection of albums by them will appear. first of all, it seems fine - I can toggle the targeted sibling, but why after the first toggle at any parent, I have to click twice sometime to hide other siblings when I click/ toggle at the current parent? [URL]
I'm trying to toggle the on and off class on list items but having issues it working.
I only want the 'on' class on the element that is clicked. So if another element in the list is clicked it removes the 'on' class from the one that had it to the one that has been clicked.

I have a nested lists which contain city names, and then level 2 is businesses in that city. those are hidden by default so that when you click on the city name the businesses will slideToggle down. What would be the correct script to enable this.I have the effect working, but when I click on any of my top level anchors all of the nested items toggle. I have just started out in jquery and thought it would be cool to add some effects to my football clubs site.
I have a players page with a list of players. In the past each player link would open a new individual profile page. This was not ideal.
Now i want to create a list of players names that show a small bio below their names when their link is clicked.
I have created some code but it just shows the bio of all players when a link is clicked. There are lots of links so repeating all the code with unique id's i believe is not the best solution.[code]...

I recently paste the ip ban java script found on this link [url] on my network.
But, the problem is that the script is banning everybody including me.
I was able to unban myself after much search on google & gain access to my network. I re-edited the code by including and specifying the ip of the spammer's in the indicated field. But, after implementing the code on my network, i keep recieving this message " your ip has been ban" and i will be redirected to [url]
How to go about this or is there programming mistake with the script?
I was wondering if I could not put a little protection on my .js files by adding a couple of lines to start the file Something like a try catch I thinking of try top.location or try document.body just to avoid beeing able to put path to file directly in address bar ... is that fesable ?

the class small sets the height to 150px. what i want now is to change the image height onclick to 400px. If the image is clicked again, it should be resized back to 150px height. i greated a style called .big with 400px and thought i can toggle the style between big an small. i'm looking for something special i guess. cause normaly i'm googling for something i have in mind, put jquery to the search string and voila, but this time i've searched for almost 3 days and give up now.
i am trying to implent a references site. the idea is that you have 1 html site with a list likereference 1reference 2reference 3 ..... with clickable links underneath.
then you have an element centered or somewhere else on the site (e.g. defined as a div area)
now if you click on reference 1, the centerde div should fade in the text, maybe with pictures too. if you click on reference20, the centered div you fade out and the content of reference 20 should fade in an the exact same place.
