JQuery :: Link Click Toggle Div With Multiple Contents
Sep 8, 2010
i'm looking for something special i guess. cause normaly i'm googling for something i have in mind, put jquery to the search string and voila, but this time i've searched for almost 3 days and give up now.
i am trying to implent a references site. the idea is that you have 1 html site with a list likereference 1reference 2reference 3 ..... with clickable links underneath.
then you have an element centered or somewhere else on the site (e.g. defined as a div area)
now if you click on reference 1, the centerde div should fade in the text, maybe with pictures too. if you click on reference20, the centered div you fade out and the content of reference 20 should fade in an the exact same place.
I'm using the jquery.treeview plugin to build an outline. Each element within the outline has a link to the side of it that runs a javascript function. I'd like to have users click on this without triggering the toggle of the element. Below is a very simple html file that shows the problem- each element has a [+] to the side of it- when you click on that link, in addition to the alert, the group will expand or contract. Any ideas how to suppress that when clicking on the [+], but allow it when clicking on the text itself?
I am trying to toggle multiple divs toggle open/closed show/hide with a slide left effect It works but is buggy if you click too fast [URL] I want to create this but control to content in the sliding divs [URL]
I'm trying to create a small javascript menu.I have 4 images which serves as menuitems.
<div class="myMenuButton"><img goes here /> <div class="myMenuContent"> Random content1 here <br />
is there a simple way of implementing a slider function to the images to toggle slide up/down the contents belong to this button? And if another image is clicked then all OTHER open slides should be closed while opening this one etc
I've just recently become enlightened by jQuery and would like to add it to my site, but I'm having a little trouble. I made this basic function: function showPanel(id) { var panel = $(".further_info." + id + ""); panel.slideToggle(); $(this).toggleClass("minus"); $(this).toggleClass("plus"); }
To give an example of its use: <a class="panel_control plus" onclick="showPanel(0);"></a> <div class="further_info 0"></div> The panel is displayed correctly, but the classname of the link isn't toggled between "plus" and "minus."
When I click Existing members, it dissapears and Close Login appears. When I click Clos Login panel it dissapears but Existing Members does not re-appear.
I have tried using toggleClass() as well as using :hidden & :visible selectors. I am at wits end.
first of all, it seems fine - I can toggle the targeted sibling, but why after the first toggle at any parent, I have to click twice sometime to hide other siblings when I click/ toggle at the current parent? [URL]
I have some jQuery code to add and remove a class to toggle an image. It works for one but now I want it to work if I add other checkboxes. Currently all the checkboxes change the 1st div. I would like to make it toggle it's respective div.
<html> <head> <title>jquery to Show/Hide a Div</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="[URL]"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("input").removeAttr("checked"); $("input").click(function(){ .....

Trying to get this to work individually with each individual instance on the page (usually 5-10 questions on each page)Right now it adds the class to every instance of the div that has the answerCorrect class. need the link to only turn on the specific answer associated with it.
I'm looking for a lightweight way to be able to switch between 2 divs on a page.
I have found various ways to do this online with jQuery, but none of which are able to handle multiple switches and make it extendable across the pages of my website efficiently.
For example I could have 12 - 15 individual elements on a page (All with same style) each with an option to switch content e.g. "Click here to do something" then once clicked "it would reveal something" (Within that element/<li> tag) - so it's element specific.
For example:
Code: <ul> <li class="box> Title
[Code]....
But of course as it's element specific you have to associate each id together but you can't have two id="2" - as that won't validate.....
Looking around, a perfect example can be seen at: [URL]
And because it's CMS driven and will have multiple categories/pages, you can't list all the id's with the javascript, so it has to be portable/OOP (Is that the word?) so just a main identifier in the JS...??
Where you click to reveal code and it switches div, but only for that element, it doesn't effect anything else.
I've tried searching for this under the forums — and maybe it's because I just am using the wrong terms — but I cannot find any answers around this. Here's the skinny:
I've got a listener for click events from links in DIV #1 in the loaded document, and when a user clicks on one of those links, it passes a value to a .get() function and runs a simple AJAX call and dumps the data/html results into DIV #2.
After that click event, DIV #2 has a bunch of links in it, and I'm trying to traverse that dynamically assembled list and perform another .get() function based upon whatever link they click in DIV #2.
Based on the parameter passed from the link in the dynamically assembled DIV #2 box, it would run the .get() function and fill DIV #3 with the data/html results from that second AJAX call. The problem is that I can't seem to detect any sort of click event from the contents of DIV #2 aside from clicking on DIV #2 itself. I've tried the usual .children() to try and traverse down to where the inserted links would be, but that's not working (e.g.: $("#div2").children("a").click(); ). I've also tried .find(), filter() and .has() but it doesn't respond, as if there was nothing there.
I have a feeling it's something simple that I'm missing here; but I've no clue what I'm doing wrong. It seems that you should be able to traverse the DOM, even when you're essentially building it dynamically based upon a user's selection or an event within the DOM.
what I should be using to use to detect click() events from dynamically assembled elements? I know exactly what DIV they'll be sent to, I just can't seem to traverse anything with them when I'm dynamically inserting HTML into them.
Trying to have plain text that you can click (div of newslink) which toggles the right parameter of other element (div of rightSidebar). Set rightSidebar initially with css: #rightSidebar {right:200%}
Here's what I have for script, but still not working:
I need to toggle 2 function on mouse click, I am posting my work below
In my domain [URL] when you click @ current work. you find a T-shirt with a Page flip
When I click the Page Flip I need to detail about the product and again on flip the image should return back but now when I click the flip the img is hiding and its displaying the description but I lost the flip icon
I need to return back the img on clicking again the page flip.
I have a click function that works perfectly when you click so. As soon as there's an animation on toggle() such as Blind or Slide, it no longer toggles.
here's my code: // Accordion $('#accordion h3').click(function() { $(this).next().toggle('blind'); $(this).toggleClass('ui-state-active');
[Code]....
When I change it to toggle() with no animation, works perfectly fine and I can click as fast as I want.
what should I do to say if it's already animated. is(":animated") ?
with this line $('#'+linkID).load('img.php?verzeichnis='+title); images are loaded onlick into a div via the img.php. after this the image tags look like this:
[Code]...
the class small sets the height to 150px. what i want now is to change the image height onclick to 400px. If the image is clicked again, it should be resized back to 150px height. i greated a style called .big with 400px and thought i can toggle the style between big an small. But unfortunately nothing happens it seems the image selector is ignored. maybe somone can help me addressing the images onclick. [URL]
I'm attempting to switch the html inside of a <div> from MORE to LESS when clicked. The issue is that it takes two clicks to switch the text. You can see an live example here:
First of all, I'm an absolute newb in jQuery. My problem: I have let's say 3 square div's. Beneath these div's are 3 hidden div's, but they are on the same place in the layout. If one of the top div's gets hovered the corresponding bottom div should display, while the rest should hide. And if you move your mouse out of one of those 3 top divs, while not hovering over another, the correspondingbottom div should not change but just stay visible. I searched a while on the internet, but have not yet found anything that fits my needs or for which I have the skills to adjust it.
How can I give a click on a link when it is just created and added to DOM?
None of this works: function openProfilePage(profile){ $('#profile-link').remove(); var link = $('<a/>').attr({'href':'profile.php?user='+profile, 'target':'_blank', 'id':'profile-link'}).css({'top':'-200px','left':'-300px', 'position':'absolute'}).html(profile);
Page 55 of JQuery Novice to Ninja shows the following code. When the page is run you CLICK on the first paragraph and the animation is triggered BUT I do not see any CLICK EVENT in this script. Isn't the document.ready function the trigger? What am I missing?
How to make an image map link to another page AND open a specific accordion section?I guess I need a script that knows which area of the image map was clicked and not only navigate to page 2 but opens the section via slide toggle I need it too.Here is the the page with the image map (although image map version not upload yet so I have what will be uploaded below)[URL] ...and the page I need to navigate to based on the area of the image map clicked and also slidetoggling the div I need it [URL] Here is the image map:
Can JQuery toggle be use to switch divs on page load instead of having to click a button to start the action? What would I have to write in the header to make this happen if this is possible?
