A client has asked me to add numbers to their FAQ which uses JQuery Accordion. I don't want to do this manually in case I have to renumber the entries, and using an <ol> breaks the accordion. So I tried this
I would like to know if there is a way to keep the script as is but also add a function to this script so that if a user clicks on another tab (div) the open tab will close on click? Please see code below:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>[code].....
I'm getting started with jQuery. I want to write a form where I can add and hide fieldsets. At the end there is a button "add Theme". If I click on it, the next fieldset whose display is none should be shown. And every fieldset except the first one have a button remove. This is my code, but it doesn't work .

If I want to hide a title / heading if a field below is not filled in, what would be the js for that?
I have an "Attachments" h2 heading and three following fields for the client to add up to three attachments. But if none are filled in I want the h2 heading to not display.
This is what I have so far:
This should take care of the three fields, but how do I tie in the heading too?
Basically i need help with input fields that when clicked the text (value) disappears but if the user has not entered anything in it would revert back to what was originally there.I have managed to get the value inside to disappear once clicked without the use of javascript but would love someone to point me in the right direction of how to revert the original value back if nothing was entered in if the user did click inside as the field continues to be blank.
I want to use the Superfish menu plugin but with 1 more behavior: when the user clicks outside the menu, the menu closes. (or clicks anywhere, doesn't matter). This way I can have a large delay and just tell people to close the menu by clicking outside the menu, which will improve greatly the usability of the menu.
I have found lots of example of right click menu's about but i was wondering if it was possible to have it display one of the right click menus on left clicking a <a href link possibly more than 1 in the same page. I have tried just simple voiding the values with the onclick and lots of other ways with no success.
<tr><td><div class="panel">Click me 1</div></td></tr><tr><td>...</td></tr>... several tr's to be hidden on Click me 1 ...<tr><td>...</td></tr> <tr><td><div class="panel">Click me 2</div></td></tr> <tr><td>...</td></tr>
[Code]....
Is it possible to write jQuery code that will hide all <tr>'s that's under the <tr> with <div> (Click me 1) inside them? But not to hide those that's under the <tr> with <div> (Click me 2).
Class name "panel" must be same for all clickable <div>'s. <tr>'s and <td>'s can't have any class or id.
The following code works perfectly in FF, Chrome, and IE7, but in IE8 the two tab divs do not hide (or then show; they are visible) with clicking the tabs.
I can't see why this would not work in IE8. I am not familiar with all the CSS changes in this new browser, so perhaps that's the issue? Again, the tabs never hide and clicking the tabs does nothing, so I'm guessing that section of script is not doing anything.
I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?
HERE IS MY JQUERY $(document).ready(function(){ $("#pro_edit_profile").hide();[code]....
I'm looking for a snippet of code. I am not sure what it is called, so I will have to describe it by example: I have a vertical navigation via styled <ul> like below (let's pretend this is a styled vertical navigation lol) Activities
+ Party at the Party Place + Concert at the Stadium + Stand-up Comedy at the Funny Place
So we have three "links" above, each listing an "activity". However, I want to provide more details about each activity. I wish to provide more details when the user clicks on the link. Like so:
In my list box if i select one item corresponding to that 4 fields has to be appear below the list box and if i select another item only 1 field has to be appear below the list box and if i select another item no fields has to be selected.
I am using CuteEditor for my WYSIWYG text editor. I like to hide all the icons until the user click on the textbox editor. Is there a way to do this in jQuery?
I have a nav bar, each link in it activates/triggers a megamenu (each link has its own megamenu). I need a way to have each link activate its own megamenu, the megamenu should close when: 1. The user clicks on another item in the nav bar. 2. The user clicks on the same item in the nav bar. 3. The user clicks on a 'close button' (X) graphic inside the megamenu (not shown in the HTML for simplicity sake).
I've seen the script of 'Sexy Drop Down Menu' but the problem is that it closes the menu triggered by the click on hover, and as I said, I'm new to jQuery and I can't figure out a way to adapt it to what I need. [URL]
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
I've got 4 subnav buttons; each has at least a sub menu; some subs have a subsub menu. My problem is, if I mouseover one of the four main subnav buttons, and then DO NOT choose a sub menu option, but instead mouseover (say) the next of the four buttons, the first sub menu stays displayed.
This only happens if I'm mousing horizontally across the buttons -- i.e., if I mouseover a button, move the mouse pointer above the button, the menu will disappear as it should and it all works correctly.
I've attached a screenshot illustrating how all 4 menus can be open at once.
This is a snippet of the relevant navigation html (2 buttons only):
this is my first visit here so I would like to introduce myself.I`m Krystian :)I`m a newbie in Ajax, jQuery.
I've created a php file which contains form ( form.php ). This file is inserted after button click in index.php. In index.php I`m including jQuery library. My problem is that: when I`m trying the code below, just for test. This is not working. JS console doesn`t show any errors. Why such a simple code is not visible with form? When this example will work then I would like to code something much more difficult on this form. Best Regards Krystian. p.s. When I`ve created form directly in index.php alert occurs.$("select#numberPers").change(function(){ alert('you have changed the select option field');
This is what I'm trying to do: I want a simple image container to swap the image inside it by clicking the nav buttons on the right like 1, 2, 3.Here's my code:
HTML Code HTML4Strict: <div id="item1"> <div class="img-container shadow" style="background-image:url(images/gallery/tcg1.jpg)">[code].....
My jQuery code is not right. I want it to turn off the "hover" class and the "show" class of the others when you click one. I think I need some kind of if..else? how to write it? I have a bg image set on the container div so there's an initial image to view.I also need multiple of these on the same page!
I'm usingSuperfish for a popout context menu and it works up to a point, then the screen gets littered with the visible submenu items that are no where near their parent.I have several "views", and 250 things with menus on 1 page seems OK, but 450 is not. I don't have one in between at the moment. Also, my "pages" are in jqueryUI tabs, the tab divs have a table in them, the table td's is where I'm sticking the ul for the menus. I have have many tabs and they all work, even with over 600 in total, it's just the one table with over 400 rows that doesn't look right. Is there some technical limitation on applying sf-menu class to a UL as a child to a table where it hits a ceiling, or do i need to make a mockup test case to figure out what's going on?
i am building a website form which I would like the user to select a product of interest. Some products are three tiered and some are two tiered.
1. Example of three tier (3 dropdowns required only):Scooters (dropdown 1)Three Wheel Scooters (dropdown 2) Delux 503S Bird Scooter (dropdown 3)
2. Example of two tier (2 dropdowns required only):Standing Bikes (dropdown 1)Children 300 Series (dropdown 2)
If the user wants to submit their interest for one of the products, I need to have at most 3 dropdown menus. So in Example 1, I would have 3 dropdowns in my form. Dropdown 1: Scooters Dropdown 2: Three Wheel Scooters Dropdown 3: Delux 503S Bird Scooter. In Example 2, I would only need to use the first 2 dropdown menus. (Obviously the first dropdown would contain 'Scooters' and 'Standing Bikes' in the menu list)I would like to alter the code so that the second and third dropdowns are hidden until a selection from the first drop down is made. Once for example, 'Standing Bikes' is selected from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown menu appears and the third remains hidden due to the fact that it is not required. If I selected Scooters from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown would appear listing all items associated with this and at this point the third dropdown menu is hidden. If i select 'Three Wheel Scooter' from the second dropdown the third dropdown menu now appears listing all Three wheel Scooters such as 'Delux 503S Bird Scooter'.
I installed the Superfish Module and all appears to be workingproperly, My question is The Original Horizontal Nav is still showingup? How do I Disable? Also, The links with drop down's are gray and the links with nodropdown are red?
