I want to retrieve any web page content using javascript . suppose
I logged into my gmail account and opened my e-mail. now i want that a
javascript will execute on the page and read all text content from
that page (e.g. all email subjects ) and save it in a text file . I
may embed the script in my browser. Is this possible ?
I have a bunch of <div>'s on a page, each of which shares a CSS class titled "portlet-header". What I would like to do is retrieve the content inside each of these div's, and then construct a string of each div content separated by a comma. At the moment I can retrieve the total content from ALL of the div's sharing the "portlet-header" class by using:
$(".portlet-header").text()
However, I was hoping that there would be a way of looping through each div of the shared CSS class in turn, constructing a string of the following format:
div content 1
,div content 2
,div content 3
etc...
I had a look at the .each method but couldn't get anything working.
I load data to a div dynamically $.get(test.php, { cmd: cmd, id: id},function(data){$('#files '').html(data);});
The retrieveddatais in a table and looks like this

I would like to know how I can retrieve html data with jQuery. With my current project I have all pages in 1 html file (jQuery mobile). Every page has his own ID. Page 1 has id="question_1", and the next one is id="question_2".
Now I would like to retrieve this ID and add +1 to the question. So if you press a buton it will always go to the next page.

I am having question on how to retrieve data from web page.
There are 'Yes' , 'No' checkbox for different questions on the web page. There are around 50 such questions.
I have to retreive the values submitted by the user by clicking on either Yes or No checkboxes. Then save this data on the server. I have to use Javascript for this.
Since I am new to Javascript I am not getting idea how to implement it.
Need info on retrieving a div from one html page and place it or its contents in another div? I'm trying to load tables from different pages into a div on this page. Tables are currently in divs with id-"table". The page I want to load them into also has a table in a div with id="table". I want to replace one table with other tables without leaving the page. That is, I am trying to prevent linking back and forth.

I have a simple page with an iframe on; frame.html Inside this frame is a simply page; page1.html. Page1.html has a link to a stylesheet called style1.css.There is also a hyperlink to page2.html. Page2.html has a link to a stylesheet called style2.css.Now what I want to achieve is for the main page, frame.html, to style itself according to whatever is contained in page1.css, as it is page1.html on the frame. When the user uses the hyperlink and jumps to page2.html, frame.html should automatically restyle itself according to page2.css.

I've implemented the following into one of my web sites. It moves the container down with the page when a visitor is scrolling down.

It works well, although when tested in Safari and Chrome it doesn't move down the page. Works well in IE and Firefox.

I need to replace some content in a web page with new content, without leaving the page.
When opening the following page, there are two rectangles, one being small and the one large: [url]

I'm trying to build a javascript content slider. It slides content like that of techcrunch site on the top of the page. It wouldn't have to be a feed, but I'd need to be able to enter the links manually each time I edit the code. I'm trying to get it, so I can get rid of tables and be able to post many different pages with the ease of just entering the photo url, link url, and content into it for a short message. I know html and I'm decent at css, but I'm bad with javascript.
