I need to redirect the user to another url in 5 seconds without the "click" sound.
you'll notice that this:

produces a "click" sound (maybe only in IE). I want to avoid this sound in my code (I know this can be changed in windows in the user's computer).
I currently have a bid of code:
(simplified)

But I only need it to execute if the user hasn't scrolled for three seconds. I don't really have a clue how to go about this.
I was wondering how I could redirect from one div to another div after " x " seconds on the same page.. Is this possible?
So like basically:
Index page: > Shows div1, after x seconds shows div2 etc..
I have the following code that will count the elapsed time and print the value in seconds after the user hits the stop button. However we are trying to get it to post the elapsed time in hours. So lets say the elapsed time is 20 mintues, the output would be .3 hours.

I am currently building a site with a landing page. I would like to add a cookie or some kind of script that detects if the user is returning and skips the homepage to go straight into the site whenever they return.
It would be good if I could apply this script to multiple pages with different names.
Cookies are not my forte so I don't know where to start looking. Googling hasn't done much for me so far, can anyone point me in the direction of a page that explains how to do this?!
I need the code for if the user enters in a code into the field for example E1 and clicks submit it'll redirect them to a certain form. And if another user entered in E2 it would redirect them to a DIFFERENT form.

The "window.location = "www.google.com";" line does not seem to function in its present location.

The script works so that if the window is out of focus for 10 seconds, it redirects. The images are defined in an external style sheet so I guess I'll have to move that into the document. Also, I want it to be able to work more than once with multiple images, like if the user opens a new tab, comes back, goes to a different tab, the image should change twice. Here's the script:

I have an webbpage, and in the middle of it there is an iframe to a php site. So i have used this code, so after some seconds the iframe will send the guest to another page. <meta http-equiv="refresh" traget="_top" content="5 url=http://mypage.com"/> But the thing is that i want the WHOLE page to reload, and go to that page after 5 seconds (we can say). With that code, only the iframe are going to another page. Is it possible to make the whole page send the user after some seconds, to another page and not only the iframe?

Kinda like window.location.refresh(), but it refreshes the page, means it empties some part of the cache and will reload images. I'm creating an AJAX user validation so that when a user types in a username, it checks it in the database to see if it exists. I want it to execute after the user finishes typing. I've tried using:

which works, but I don't want a query executed every time the users presses a key. I was wondering if there was a better way to do it. Meaning I what the check to be preformed after the user finishes typing.
is it possible to track whether user is typing in the browser's address bar or aside google search box ( which appears in most of the browsers besides address bar)? if yes, I would like to know HOW? references are welcome.
