I was wondering how I could redirect from one div to another div after " x " seconds on the same page.. Is this possible?
So like basically:
Index page: > Shows div1, after x seconds shows div2 etc..
I need to redirect the user to another url in 5 seconds without the "click" sound.

produces a "click" sound (maybe only in IE). I want to avoid this sound in my code (I know this can be changed in windows in the user's computer).
Im looking for a simple code to redirect to a specific URL on any click on page and redirect to certain url after a certain number of page views.

So i have used this code, so after some seconds the iframe will send the guest to another page. <meta http-equiv="refresh" traget="_top" content="5 url=http://mypage.com"/> But the thing is that i want the WHOLE page to reload, and go to that page after 5 seconds (we can say). With that code, only the iframe are going to another page. Is it possible to make the whole page send the user after some seconds, to another page and not only the iframe?

I want this page to be reloaded every 15 seconds, and show the number of reloads till that time. I also wish to show a box where the timer is shown !
Goal 1: display errors above the form on same page
Goal 2: direct users to a new thankyou page when form is submitted.
The form uses ajax. I am able to get it to work with the error messages displaying correctly but as is, the thankyou message also displays in the same spot and the form is left filled out. I need it to direct to a new page I designed for the purpose.
Trying to figure out how to get my simple page re-load to pause for a couple seconds before sending the request. I tried $.wait() and think this could possibly be what I need but seem to not be using it correctly, as I have not had any success getting it to work.

I have a form in which i have a dropdown list and a submit button. I want to code so that when users select the value from the dropdown list, it should redirect then to the specified page. For instance i have the value, "car", "House" and "pets" in my dropdown listbox, if a use click on "car" it should redirect them to the car page. I'm trying to redirect away from a page using AJAX, and I'm having a tough time figuring out how to do it properly. From what I understand, an AJAX request thinks it's done when a script echoes something, so this is what I have, for the script run behind the scenes and the HTML with AJAX:

I think what's happening here is that the Location header in the PHP is overwriting the echo, since I'm calling the Run.php script twice, so the AJAX request never knows it's ready. This also means, I think, that I'm missing something fundamental about how AJAX works, and I'm doing the redirection wrong

I want to test if the parent/previous page is a certain page when the popup window loads and if it is not then I don't want the popup window to open. I also want the page to redirect if a person just puts the popwindow address into their browser. I am working with asp.net vb and I am told javascript is the best way to do this. I have a javascript countdown timer. It goes for a few hours. At the end, I want to dispaly "times up", wait 10 more seconds, and then redirect to another page. Is there a javascript way to do this, and would it work going back to IE4 and NN4.5?
