View 1 RepliesI was wondering how I can make the page refresh after the timer has reached 0 for X amount of seconds? Here is the code I am using:
PHP Code:
<script language="JavaScript">
TargetDate = "{$timerdate}";
BackColor = "#FFFFFF";
ForeColor = "#FF0000";

I want to make a clickable button appear on my page within a few amount of seconds.
Say like 10 seconds. Then once 10 seconds is up the button appears and the person can click continue.
I have a quiz with a timer. Once the timer reaches zero an alert box pops up saying Too Late and stays on the same screen. The problem is the user can still enter in an answer, how to auto submit after you click ok on the alert box. Here is my count function.
function count() {
tooLate = 0;
n--;
[Code].....
So I am just trying to call the submitform function after the timer has reached 0 and the alert box message displays which I have tried but seems to not work.
I have an webbpage, and in the middle of it there is an iframe to a php site. So i have used this code, so after some seconds the iframe will send the guest to another page. <meta http-equiv="refresh" traget="_top" content="5 url=http://mypage.com"/> But the thing is that i want the WHOLE page to reload, and go to that page after 5 seconds (we can say). With that code, only the iframe are going to another page. Is it possible to make the whole page send the user after some seconds, to another page and not only the iframe?

I have a page "v.php" which got an iframe that shows different pages for 3 seconds after they have loaded. There is a page "w.php" that needs to be shown in the iframe but it needs to be shown for 10 seconds after it's loaded. How can I make so "w.php" freezes the timer for at least 10 seconds and then let it start?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to adapt a script I found online for a timer that goes in my webpage. The timer counts from 30 seconds down to 0. I've adapted it so that when it reaches 0 it goes back up to 30, but I was wondering how can I make it so that after a certain number of loops through the timer, it executes some other (non-JS) code instead of just doing the timer forever?I've introduced a variable t to try to do this, but when I put in if(t>1) {break} at the bottom, the timer doesn't work properly anymore (it doesn't display a number in the box).

I have a problem I can't figure out on my own. I want to create a JS/AJAX function which counts down for exactly 10 seconds (for example), and then it performs an action - calls a .php file, and loads its content in a div element.
The main problem is - users can simply edit the JS and set the 10 second timer to 1 second, for example.
I wonder if there is a way to work this out in JS? I want the 10 seconds to be "set in stone".
I guess I could achieve similar effect by using database, and comparing the time when script started/ended.
I have developed a application in jsp. I need to achieve a count down timer(days,hours,minutes,seconds) between from date to todate, considering below cases. All below are assumed
(1) I have 4 product, for each product i have different end date stored in mysql in DB.
(2) I need to calculate time time remaining for the end date for each product, for eg;
Product 1 end date : 10/05/2010 (i need to show the time remaining for the end of 10/05/2010 from current time and date). Like wise i need to show for different products.
I have a small iframe (mid-right) with an embedded audio player.
<embed src="slideshow/streetsound.mp3"
width="75" height="25"
autostart="true"
loop="true">
Nothing fancy, however with that in there, the page seems to load twice in
IE. It fetches the SSI header, then clears it, then loads the rest of the
page 'behind the scenes', then finally displays it.
If I remove the embed, it loads the page bit by bit and you can start
reading before the rest of the page is done, which is what is desired for
obvious reasons.
Any idea why embed causes this? Works fine in FF etc.

All the code I have browsed on the web want to load an external file into a div instead of just refreshing the div with the content already in it.
I wanted help for a JavaScript code. You might think I'm lazy for not writing it myself, but the truth is I am not a JavaScript coder. I just have a really simple website and I am trying to do something for which I know JS is required but I don't know how to do it. I've also searched around but couldn't find the appropriate code.
What I want to do is to make an html page load a different background image every time it refreshes.I will have a list of background images and I want to be able to add in this list, without having to change anything else in the codes after I do this (I think this is made by making an array of images and by putting .length somewhere in the codes, but I don't know exactly how I should do this).I already know how to do an external file (.js) and link to it from my .html page.Now I want the code to put in the .js file, and the code to put in the <body> of my .html file.
My table columns are sorted by the Tablekit library [URL]. The user can click the columns to toggle the sort order either ascendingly or descendingly. I can save the current sort order (preference) in the server. After the page is refreshed, the web page is sorted by the original sort order. How to make the Tablekit library to sort with the current sort order after page refresh? My web page column is:
<th class="sortfirstdesc" id="urgency" onClick="reverseOrder($sortdesc)">ID</th>
