Dec 2, 2011It seems like when I load javascript code into a page, that each item I add, such as an accordian vertical navbar, image slider, etc, that each time I add one, the page loads a second or so slower with each one added. I would like some of these features, but is this just a part of life, or are there tricks to avoid the slower load time? It is not major time but after the 2 items I mentioned, it added on about 2 seconds.
I read that $(document).ready(function() might slow me down but I do not see that statement in any of my .js files.

What I want to do though, is append a loading graphic for just 2 seconds inside the button such that it looks as if the website is 'busy' saving when the button is clicked. This is obviously just for user feedback as the 'save' is done instantly - it's just for user feedback to make the user confident that the save button has worked. To do this, I'm trying to append a loading image to the save button, delay for 2 seconds, then remove the image, but it doesn't seem to work.

So i have used this code, so after some seconds the iframe will send the guest to another page. <meta http-equiv="refresh" traget="_top" content="5 url=http://mypage.com"/> But the thing is that i want the WHOLE page to reload, and go to that page after 5 seconds (we can say). With that code, only the iframe are going to another page. Is it possible to make the whole page send the user after some seconds, to another page and not only the iframe?

The first fades a page in and out when loading. The second 'smoothly' scrolls the page down to anchor text in the page. The problem is that the 1st script 'overpowers' the second, so when you click on an anchor text link it starts to 'smoothly scroll down, then the first script kicks in an re-loads the page. Is there a way of stopping the first script if the second one is being used?
