I am looking to do something with a few input boxes and a button that passes all of the input box values to a function but I can't get it to work. In IE when I try to send one of the values to an alert, it just says "[object]".
I have an array of input text boxes (txtDOBn) where n is created at load. On the onchange event I want to calc the age and show in adjacent input text boxes that are readonly and also arrays (an age calced for each DOB entered). I was going to use the datediff function in vbscript to do the calc. Code:
Might be a simple question, but I'm a Javascript and OOP newbie.
I have a form that I'm using Java & Ajax to dynamically validate while the user is typing (sort of, it actually executes the validate script after a 1 second pause in typing has passed). code...
I have a book on my page consist of 3 iframes, 1 iframe opens the table of contents and 2 iframes to open 2 pages at the same time, also i have 2 buttons to navigate pages next and previous through this function
[Code]...
the problem starts here, if i click on next-previous button I want it to continue from page 36,37 but what happens it continue from pNum in the function, how to update the pNum from onclick ?
I am trying to access a dynamic asp variable with onclick either in a javascript function where I can use it globally or set another div id with this dynamic variable.
how to implement it into my php pages. The best example for me to explain with, are live at facebook and youtube. Facebooks newest user status feature the "like this" link - and youtubes "favourite" link located under the player... There are tonnes more examples, and thats why im shocked that their isnt a tutorial about it anywhere...
So basically i need the user to be able to click a specific link, which then updates the database, and then shows a success message, all without refreshing the page.
i have an initAll() called on window.onload within initAll() I assign a few onclick handlers to some links. However, it would be great if I could pass an argument to the handler, so I could use the same handler every time... but if I include two brackets for each handler, it executes immediately... ignoring the 'onclick' bit...
window.onload = initAll; function initAll(){ document.getElementById('btn_events').onclick = getSpecificFeed('events'); }
This is for uploadify script for previewing an image that is uploaded, it creates the link fine, but won't trigger the function "del_image" unless I delete the parameters in the onclick, which leads me to believe it is something to do with my quoting. Here is the function:
I use php to output a foreach loop on a table (example below), so when I hit submit on the values each of the rows are submitted to the database.
However, my problem if this. If you look at the below I use a bit of JS on the <select> box which when selected should automatically populate the corresponding start_time[] <input> box, however I can't seem to get it to work?
I want to call java function in javascript.In which we pass one parameter to function and its returns String value which I want to display in alert message.
I am trying to minimize the amount of script that I use on my website. I have sections of each page; each section has the same basic layout. The divs and images that I want to make appear and disappear all have nearly identical ids, the only difference is the number at the end of the id.Is there a way to get one script to automatically detect which id number has been clicked and then show all elements with the same number at the end of the id? I would also like it to hide the elements in the hide function below (basically they are the elements that do not share the same id number).I currently have everything working the way I want it to using multiple functions like the one below but I woul
I got a couple of comboboxes were the user selects a series of numbers. Once a selection is made, the value is appended to an input box. The idea is that the appended values form a telephone number, or at least part of one, that will then be used to search trough a database to look for a matching number.If I select "021" from indicatif, the script will append 021 to the input "blabla". The problem is, if I now select "022", the input will show "021022" instead of replacing the 021 with 022.
What I would like is that, for each combobox, the script replaces the selected value with the new one instead of simply appending it, like instead of say 021022555666 it would show 021555 or 022666 or 021666 depending on what is selected...you get the idea?Is this doable? Needless to say I'm a total noob at javascript.

How can I check they are being received by the PHP script ?
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">[code].....
I have a PHP form with a html section at the bottom. There are 14 input text fields on the form and I want the form to send of the email as it should do and also take the name field, pass it to the following web page and display it in a <div> tag.
I think the relevant code looks like this

Can I capture the input from FieldData0 and send it to the next webpage by Javascript or as a cookie? Or to have then confirm their name in a second form and automatically capture it before the submit button.
I have an onclick event, within it I have a line that reads ..
textfield1.value="GO";
The textfield1 is on the page however when I click to get the onclick event to move, the page errors, it says 'textfield1 is undefined. I'm not a javascript coder, just play around .. do I need to define the textfield somewhere else?
I'm a beginning JavaScript programmer. What I do is looking for some code on the internet and try to understand to let it fit my needs.What I'm trying to do now is to let the default value of an input disappear onclick. It works fine except the default value of the password input are bullets instead of 'password'. Only when people give their password, it has to be bullets.
I'm trying to save the input and pass it into the URLs that are the option values. So Artist ID being 111 would take you to url..../<WHATEVER OPTION YOU CHOSE FROM DROP DOWN>/111 What am I doing wrong/What am I not doing?
