I have a list of images on the left side of the screen. On the right side I have an iframe for the picture and some text to be displayed. I can create individual pages for this, however I would rather create dynamic pages for this. I would love to be able to have a link on the left side that will send an image filename along with some text to the iframe, so I don't have to create so many smaller files. Has anyone done this?
I got a couple of comboboxes were the user selects a series of numbers. Once a selection is made, the value is appended to an input box. The idea is that the appended values form a telephone number, or at least part of one, that will then be used to search trough a database to look for a matching number.If I select "021" from indicatif, the script will append 021 to the input "blabla". The problem is, if I now select "022", the input will show "021022" instead of replacing the 021 with 022.
What I would like is that, for each combobox, the script replaces the selected value with the new one instead of simply appending it, like instead of say 021022555666 it would show 021555 or 022666 or 021666 depending on what is selected...you get the idea?Is this doable? Needless to say I'm a total noob at javascript.
I'm trying to save the input and pass it into the URLs that are the option values. So Artist ID being 111 would take you to url..../<WHATEVER OPTION YOU CHOSE FROM DROP DOWN>/111 What am I doing wrong/What am I not doing?
I need to pass user input from a form to one database field. I'm relatively new to JS but the idea I had was to have several form elements and use JS to collect the users input and send all the values through a hidden element. What's happening is the variable names are being sent rather than the values. The code below is only passing to the next page. Limitations: I am editing an intranet site built by a 3rd party so a lot of the files we've been given are encrypted. I cannot change the method to post.
In the DOM Scripting book by Jeremy Keith, he provides this function: Code: function styleElementSiblings(tag,theclass) { if (!document.getElementsByTagName) return false; var elems = document.getElementsByTagName(tag); for (var i=0; i<elems.length; i++) { var elem = getNextElement(elems[i].nextSibling); addClass(elem,theclass); } }
And then says to pass the values "h1" and "intro" to this function in this form: styleElementSiblings("h1","intro");
I'm just a little stuck on how to "pass the values". Presumably I've missed something simple. I've tried just pasting that line before the function, but no luck. He also provides a function that allows multiple functions to load at once, called addLoadEvent, so I tried this, also with no luck: addLoadEvent(styleElementSiblings("h1","intro"));
To sum up this issue, I have a parent page, which holds some values in hidden input fields passed to them from the url. On this page, I have an iframe with a form in it, to which I want to pass values from these hidden fields to be displayed for the user in the iframe form. In IE, it works. To accomplish this, im just simply doing a <body onload="GetInput()">. The GetInput function does the following, but for about 10 fields:
Fnamefield=document.getElementById('firstname').value = parent.document.getElementById('firstname').value; Thats it. Once the page loads, i see my values. In firefox it does not work. I know the hidden fields are getting their values, but thats as far as it makes it. I have tried calling the GetInput function after the form is written out and not in the body tag, which still works for IE, but not FF.
I am using a script so that a url selected from a dropdown is given control using the window.location method. This depends on the onsbumit definition attached to the action statement. All that works well. However, I have other checkboxes etc. on the form, and their values are no longer submitted when I used this onsubmit function. Is there a way I can get them to work... Here is the script and the form:
Within an aspx page, I have a form with asp controls (text boxes) that I'm loading within a jQuery modal popup dialog. Once the user fills out the form and the register button is clicked in the modal form, it invokes a code-behind function, which seems to be working fine. However, the problem I'm facing is in the code-behind function; none of the field values in the modal popup form are being passed to the code-behind function.I was unable to attach some snapshots directly to the post, so I uploaded it at the following urls:
I have a PHP form with a html section at the bottom. There are 14 input text fields on the form and I want the form to send of the email as it should do and also take the name field, pass it to the following web page and display it in a <div> tag.
I think the relevant code looks like this

Can I capture the input from FieldData0 and send it to the next webpage by Javascript or as a cookie? Or to have then confirm their name in a second form and automatically capture it before the submit button.
I'm looking for a JS method to do the same thing as what is below. I want to submit the values to the iframe as form values and not url but by using JS instead. Is this possible?code...
i am developing a web application in which i have to retrieve the user browser and platform information. i am using javascript to get this information and tryin to pass these values to the html hidden form element. pasting a brief code from my application.
I have a web page A that loads another page B using an iframe (or anobject tag), the B page is an external page (it's not on my server)and contains a form.I want to be able to auto fill the form with pre-defined values. Injquery i think it's impossible due to security reasons,I hope I explained the problem correctly, if you need more info just
when this page loads i want the name input type field to automatically display the resuld of my cookie. if this page does not have a cookie set yet it shouldn't put anything in the field. when i use the script below, the cookies get set fine, and i can alert them when the page comes in, but the value will not show in the input field. when alerting alert window.document.cart3form.name.value) the returned value is undefined. anybody know how to get the unput field to enter right?
form name=cart3form script language=JavaScript type=text/JavaScript
alert(getCookie('name2')); // shows correct value of name2
Is is possible to compile a link from form input values? Basically I need to compile a url string to fake a CMS search. It's a crude solution but I have no other options at this point.
So, the user fills this in an clicks submit which takes them to whatever url it has complied.
The url is quite complex but consistent, the resulting values will be at certain points in the url
So... http://somesite.com/search.php?categoryid=435834y59?keyword=KEYWORD VALUE?catalogue_number="CATALOGUE NUMBER VALUE"?price_from=PRICE FROM VALUE?
I have multiple <select></select> elements in a php page. After an option is chosen from the first drop down <select></select> element, options of the 2nd drop down <select></select> element will show up. Selection of an option from the 2nd drop down list will get the options in the 3rd dropdown list show up. Thus input from the 3rd drop down list will show up the options in the 4th drop down list. Such is the case for the 4th, 5th ,... drop down list.
Each time depending on the inputs from the previous drop down lists , the values for the immediately later drop down list will be retrieved from the database. i.e options for the nth drop down list to be retrieved from the database will depend on the selected the values from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, .....(n-1)th drop down list.
I need to capture input from a form in the run time and send those values as URL parameters using HTML POST.
I am using:
Here searchText and searchFilter are the input values. When I run the app, I don't see the values but I see "frm.searchText.value" and "frm.searchFilter.value" getting passed as parameters.
I have an array of input text boxes (txtDOBn) where n is created at load. On the onchange event I want to calc the age and show in adjacent input text boxes that are readonly and also arrays (an age calced for each DOB entered). I was going to use the datediff function in vbscript to do the calc. Code:
I have a list of products where they have minimum quantities in a hidden input. Some products have multiple colours, though the same minimum quantity and I'm trying to implement a jQuery check that entries made are at least equal to the minimum.
Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.
HTML:
Is there something obviously wrong with this? It isn't performing the minimum check and I'm really not sure why.
I have a javascript that will take whatever was entered on this form and send it to the new URL (without submitting), but for some reason - it doesn't work anymore. i've changed things around, & probably messed soemthing up.
Code:
$('#cb_ht2').click(function() { // Reset incase Data Changed[code].....
I think i may have messed it when when adding that target-"_parent", it needs to pop a new window
