I am using a VERY simple jquery plugin for styling drop down select menus.. The installation and implementation was SUPER simple.. Drop code here, name your select area, call for the jquery and JS pages.. Got it all working but I need just one little fix and I thought i figured it out, but apparently not. The person who created it did so with a max height option that is calculated based on the length of the list (it seems). This, to me, is crazy.. so if i have a three item list, there will ALWAYS be a scroller because its calculating the max height at one line item less than what is there. I am not very good with javascript and was hoping someone could have a look. The files and all of the stuff you would need can be found on this page: [URL]
I've been looking around the web for solutions to styling HTML form elements and haven't come up with much. Has anyone found a jQuery plugin (or possibly a standalone javascript) that lets you do this? I'm especially interested in styling the <select> element, but it would be great to know to have a resource that styles other items as well. It would need to be compatible with IE6+
I am trying to use the Jquery selecmenu to skin dropdowns. There are extra UL LI getting formed with data "undefined" so dropdown is showing undefined in end.
I am using the cycle plugin on the frontpage of my client's site: [URL](using Platform Pro theme). The plugin works great, but I needed to add a drop down menu to the navigation bar. I can see the drop down menu (Banquet Rooms --> Banquet Menu) on all the pages without a cycle plugin. I know that the z-index is an issue with slideshows and drop down menus, but I cannot find where I need to raise the z-index. I've tried several parts of the nav bar and nothing changed.
I'm trying to dynamically disable a Superfish menu when in mobile mode (using responsive design), so that only the main menu items are displayed. I want the Superfish menu to be re-enabled when the browser window is re-sized and the desktop CSS is re-served.
I've tried using detach() and append() to remove and restore the ULs, but I can't get that to work properly.
Can any one recommend a vertical menu plugin that could be used in a sidebar. I've used Superfish, but I don't care for fly-outs and would prefer a collapsable version that drops straight down on click or mouse over.
I try to use the Plugin in SP. The problem is, that the offset is calculated wrong when using it in a Webpart. So the contextmenu is always displayed a litlle bit more to the right and a litle bit more to the bottom of the page. Playing with the left and top values using firebug i have figured out, that the top left corner is inside the webpart right underneath the title of the webpart.
Is there a way to manipulate the plugin so the position of the menu is corrected?
I'm having problems with a Javascript 'Lookup' function.
Basically, I have a select menu 'Customer' which triggers a 3 JS functions, to populate 2 extra select menus.
Using IE Developer Tools, during debugging, I get this error: Expected ';' Error
This relates to either: eval(ajax_CustContact[index].response); OR eval(ajax_CostCentreContact[index].response); (it's a bit random, as sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't)
I have tried changing the 'custid' to 'custname' to check whether it was an integer causing the problem, but had the same problem.
We have a list of items that each has a different quantity available. So I am going to create a multiple select menu, where they can select several different items. So, how can I make it that when they leave the field it sends all the different ones to the ajax program to build all the appropriate quantity forms?
I have this page, the superfish menu does not show over the google earth plugin but under! This problem is happening in IE8 and Google Chrome. To run the following code run it under localhost (that is the domain registered with the google earth api key)
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I have a site in development using Joomla and Virtuemart. Virtuemart uses slimbox lightbox for product displays but this stops working when the Camp26 FishEye Menu is plugged in. I finally tracked it down to a jquery conflict due to them sharing $ but the fix is beyond me.
Can anyone point to a step by step solution, I've been unable to find one, or maybe spell it out for me?
I'm looking for a jQuery AJAX plugin that allows me to do the following. I have three dropdowns ( Make, Model, Year), the values of the second and third dropdowns need to dynamically changed based on the selection of the previous dropdown. Example: Dropdown 1 Dropdown 2 ( would change depending on selection in dropdown 1 ) Dropdown 3 ( would change depending on selection in dropdown 2 ) Is there an existing plugin that works?
I am new to jquery and I need to make a form that allows a user to select a state and a city that they go to school in. I am using the cascade juqery plug-in [url].
Which I think is a great plugin) The problem is there is a lot of data and it takes a long time for it all to load (some 28,000 records).
What I want to do is split it up into different files and then load only the file that contains the data for that start/region.
I'm trying to style a form using jquery, but it's not working, specifically the replacement of the (required) text with * or **. what is wrong with my code:
I am using [URL] works great, except that I cannot style the tab buttons how I want them. Is it possible to use Tabs without any styling, so that I can fully style using my global stylesheet?
I'm beginner in jQuery and trying to write "add/remove div object" script.
I found on web some examples how to do it but... there's two problems.
Firstly I want to add some DIV when user choose any value from select list html object and absolutely don't know how to do it...
Secondly - every new DIV object created by select list from html must have (inside of this div) something like "remove me link" which of course should deleted this DIV from page.
say i have a select menu "select1" with several options available. And a color "color" menu with several options for color. Inside my "select1" option list i have a "variety" option. With this option selected i no longer need the "color" menu at all. I need a javascript or jquery that will make it so that when "variety" is selected it then hides the "color" select menu.
I have searched the web and this forumn with no results. I need to replace the value in a second select menu with the value from the firts select menu. So if I select ACD from the first menu it should go thru all the option values in menu 2 and replace the '~' with 'Computing'
I use the select menu script from [URL].. in Firefox all works fine. But when I use it in google chrome the focus off the site changes to the end of the site. My menu has 200 entrys. How can I provide the change of the focus?
