Finding A "find On Page" Script That Will Display The Results In The Middle Of The Page For IE

finding a "find on page" script that will display the results in the middle of the page for IE. I have tried several different ones to no avail. The ones that work in all the browsers display the result in IE at the very bottom of the page. I am not very familiar with programing in Java and I am unable to modify any for my needs. The one I found that did work in IE didn't work in any other browsers.

I've copied and customized a script to display a css popup in my little website. The script should display a popup in the middle of the browser window, graying out the background, Everything seems to work fine except that at the end of the script, the page is displayed from the top. This means that if you click on the popup link from a position down in the page, you'll miss it because you will be taken to the top of the page, where you can't see it.

I've been debugging with alert boxes and everything seems to be fine until the script ends execution. Then the user is brought again at the top of the page...
In my final site the only thing I would like to show in the popup is a Flash movie.
Do you know any workaround? I would even implement a completely different solution if I knew which...
By the way: At this stage I am using Chrome but I would like my solution to work in any browser, that will the next issue.

It is possible to perform a find in page search that looks at a specific link, opens the page in a new window and finds the text within that document?? Basically I regularly use an html page in work that has a list of people and their telephone numbers. I want to be able to type in a searchbox on my main page and it open the target page and find the name I am looking for? Is this possible or can you only Find In Page on the same page or another frame?

Basically I want to factor a number and select the two closest numbers to the middle of the factors for example: 20 factors to 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20 I want it to return 4 and 5 If the number is has an odd number of factors (has to be a perfect square) I want it to select the middle number and say it twice for example:
64 factors to 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64
I want it to return 8 and 8 Would I use an array or what? My code should probably look like:

This is sort of a hard question to describe, but here it goes:
I'm trying to completely center an element on a page (this means both horizontal and vertically). However, what I'm wondering is if there is a way, via the DOM functionality to make it so if, say, you've scrolled X-distance down the page it centers it in the current view of the page, not to the original view of the page.

I am developing a web application in which I need to integrate a javascript/html editor on some of the web pages and then provide 'Edit' buttons on those web pages so that users can edit the content on that partciular html/jsp page (like editing in wiki pages) and then, when they add some content and click on submit button, the new content should appear on the web page with all the formatting (i.e. bold, italics, color and so on) which was applied by user when he was entering the text.
Now, I need help for the below issues:
1. Suggest me a good javascript/html editor (freely downloadable) which I can use to integrate with my web pages.
2. Once the user has entered some content using the above javascript editor, how to make that content reach the server and update the corresponding web page.

what it does is that it hide and show a panel by slidint it to the left.But my client want that on page load the panel opens automatically for about 2-3 seconds just to let users know that its here. But when the panel finished showing the button to open it again doesn't work.

I an wanting to make a form where all of the text fields will be output in html table format to a new webpage. how to do the following, here is a simplified example:
Let's say I have a database of pictures of animals. A search for "pets" is performed and it loads a page of thumbnail images. Somewhere on the page is a list of other search criteria (text link or checkbox) that would narrow the initial returned results. An example would be "cats", "dogs", "hamster", etc.
Is there a way after the initial search is performed that the results could be further filtered without having to hit a submit button and reload the page?

I'm trying to scroll my page to the bottom after the search results populate on the bottom. Unfortunately, it looks like my scrollTo(0, document.body.scrollHeight) is getting executed before the search results populate or finish populating. I've been trying to get some Ajax functionality on my rails app and have been stuck on this issue for a couple days... (new to jQuery!). My app has a form on the top of my site that acts as a search. When a user submits the form, they are redirected to a "search_users" page.
Rather than redirecting to a "search_users" page, I want the "search_users" page to load in a div called "page" on current page.. I was able to do this with my sites navigation (so when a person clicks on "home" or "about" or "contact me", nothing refreshes except a div called "pages") but not for the search form.
