This works just fine as my javascript to make a link to a pdf and bring up a search pane in the certain pdf. My question is if anyone has tried to highlight search terms in a pdf just by clicking on the link. I can't seem to get that to happen.

Jun 18, 2010I am writing an MVC ASP.NET based website, and I want to create a ActionLink that deletes the current entity. For search engine reasons, I don't want this link to be able to be followed (else all my data is gone!), unless a user, via jQuery, confirms the action. For the confirmation, I can use something like:

Oct 2, 2009I am building an asp.net web application using visual studio 2008 with .NET 3.5 on an XP 32 bit machine where I have the server as well. a cSharp code behind and jQuery javascript client code are used. The site has a master page.
When I Start Debugging the aspx page, it fires up the cSharp Page_Load event.
When I hit the Button1, the jQuery event get fired, but the cSharp Button1_Click never gets hit.[code]...

Oct 25, 2010I have done some research and cannot find anything appropriate. I would like to be able to navigate up and down the inside of a div (selecting A Tags) and directing to them when the user presses 'Enter'.
Effectively need a function that records the up and down arrows and the enter key. It is for an autocomplete, I know there are jQuery things for this but I do not want to use jQuery! I need it to be fully browser compatible.

Dec 8, 2010I have setup a little example here: [URL] It is JSONP because of cross site policy. The returned JSON is valid, you can check the response in firebug. The callback function is not fired.
Tested with jquery 1.3.2, 1.4.2 and 1.4.4. Same result.

The code in that script is wrapped inside the $(window).load() event because it requires the images on the page to have allloaded. In some browsers it works fine, but in others it seems not tofire because the page has already finished loading by the time thecode is run.Is there any way to check and see if the page has already finishedloading?Since it is a dynamically inserted script I don't have access to theonload event of the original document (aside from altering it via theloaded script - but that would seem to present the same problem).

Event Handling :: EventHandlers For Each Of The 3 Div's Should Be Fired?
Apr 14, 2011I have a question about event handling in javascript.Let's say I have 3 divs, directly in the body of an html document.

Each of those div's is positioned differently using css, as displayed in the image below: Each div has an event listener for the click event.In the image above I marked a point. If the user would click on that point, are all 3 event listeners supposed to fire? As I understood it, there's a capture and a bubbling phase, but these only go down through and up from the ancestors of the target right? And none of the div's are ancestors of eachother, they just happened to overlap because of the css position.
How would I let all registered eventsHandlers be fired whenever a user clicks on overlapping HTML elements? (so the eventHandlers for each of the 3 div's should be fired).

Nov 15, 2010I'm writing an XML generating app here, and i have come across an interesting problem. When i click on any part of the body of the document, the function addRow() is being triggered. This is odd, because the only event handler that should ever fire this is a Button that much be clicked, and it is also triggered once when the document is Loaded.
The biggest question is, ...why when i click anywhere on the document, is this even being triggered.
Here's my code (sorry it's a bit long..but copy and paste and you should be able to replicate what i'm getting)
Some notes:
1. removing the script tabber.js does not change this error. It still happens
2. removing the onLoad= in the body, and manually adding in the first table cell, and row of the table seems to fix this, however, i need to eventually load a list of table cells from a CSV file. So that workaround won't be sufficient
