Jul 11, 2010
How we can modify this function in order to make it in use for many displays?
HTML Code:
For example! I have this code, the select with id=one is the main one whatever I select from the drop down list One or two or three , the other menue appear" with id=two or id=three.
I'm trying to build a table that has hidden rows below certain shown rows.
How would I modify this script so that it shows all of the hidden rows below a row, but not the hidden rows throughout the entire table?
$ ( document )
[Code].....
You can see the HTML table structure here, as well as it working with only 1 row. URL] I was able to get all the hidden rows throughout the entire table to show, but that's not what i'm looking for. I just want the hidden rows that are below their respective shown table rows.
I have this rollover script (original done by Old Pedant) which I have modified making it 5 sets of 2 images. Although it seems to work I have a feeling it's not the best way of doing it. It seems clumsy to me. Could it be made more concise. (or just made correct)
<script type="text/javascript"> function linkOver(link){ var image = link.getElementsByTagName("IMG")[0]; image.src = image.src.replace("Off_1.png","On_1.png"); image.src = image.src.replace("Off_2.png","On_2.png"); image.src = image.src.replace("Off_3.png","On_3.png"); image.src = image.src.replace("Off_4.png","On_4.png"); image.src = image.src.replace("Off_5.png","On_5.png"); }function linkOut(link){ var image = link.getElementsByTagName("IMG")[0];
I have been using this sideshow example which works great but I want to be able to click on the slideshow picture to take me to another link (hyperlink)
I also wanted to have links next to the slidehsow which would go to a certain picture in the slideshow for example by pressing link "go to picture 3" it would scroll automatically to picture 3 in the slideshow
I have been using examples from: [URL] this but I am willing to change to another version if I can't do that with this slideshow scrit
I have a form with a number of inputs and also a div element that acts as an input. I want to make it so that if someone is in the input before the div, and they hit "tab", it'll tab to that div.
I'm extremely new to jquery and trying to write a toggle function without using the built-in functionality. From what I've read, this should be a fairly straightforward exerciseHowever, I'm running an issue. My code doesn't seem to do anything. Not clear to me why because nothing is erroring out? Here's what I've got:
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> // we will add our javascript code here
I have Been trying to make a webpage that displays a googlemap with multiple markers based on data from an XML file but can't seem to get it to work. Would be ETERNALLY grateful to anyone who can pick out where I'm going wrong!
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function callXML(){ if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari [Code]...
My table columns are sorted by the Tablekit library [URL]. The user can click the columns to toggle the sort order either ascendingly or descendingly. I can save the current sort order (preference) in the server. After the page is refreshed, the web page is sorted by the original sort order. How to make the Tablekit library to sort with the current sort order after page refresh? My web page column is: <th class="sortfirstdesc" id="urgency" onClick="reverseOrder($sortdesc)">ID</th>
I am trying to minimize the amount of script that I use on my website. I have sections of each page; each section has the same basic layout. The divs and images that I want to make appear and disappear all have nearly identical ids, the only difference is the number at the end of the id.Is there a way to get one script to automatically detect which id number has been clicked and then show all elements with the same number at the end of the id? I would also like it to hide the elements in the hide function below (basically they are the elements that do not share the same id number).I currently have everything working the way I want it to using multiple functions like the one below but I woul
This post is about the jquery validation plugin. I am using the url() method to validate text fields for valid url input. It works fine, but I want a slight modification where I am checking whether a base directory has been added and not some individual page. For example, not [URL] but [URL]. Any way I can modify that url method to satisfy my needs?
I have an external javascript file with certain attributes defined to open a file in new window, which I use for viewing maps. However I need to define different attributes for the height and width, as I want users to open video clips in smaller windows. What do I need to do? Code:
I'm using this method of toggling which i found on webdevelopers and I'm having issues with trying to make two other toggles with in a toggle.This is the code:
Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">[code]....
So I'm basically trying to have three or more divisions above in the code, that I'll be able to click to show two more divisions that users can click on to show something inside their divisions.

I want to modify a local variable of the ready function set like so: $(function () { var modifyme = 0; ... }); I cant change the code setting the ready function, as I am writing only a greasemonkey userscript. I already tried using the .data("events") method, but it never listed the "ready" event. Any function so I can modify the variable!
I have a function that displays a loading icon just before the ajax call starts, but I wanted to display that icon only if the ajax call takes longer than 3 seconds. My question is: How to implement a counter after the ajax call?

I am trying to modify a jQuery login effect someone wrote for me who is no longer available. I am just starting to learn JS and jQuery so would really appreciate some help if anyone has a couple of minutes. If you click the close button a login button will appear. The effect is working how I want it to but I need the button to load first instead of the form.
I've been using the cycle plugin a lot lately (thanks a tonne,malsup!). I'm trying to write a wrapper plugin for the Cycle plugin that will allow me preload (more accurately, queue load) images for a banner slideshow. I've run into an issue with the cycle.addSlide function... it seems to be adding my slides out of order. Has anybody run into this before? what I'm trying to do: Each image is loaded individually, and once loaded they are added to the DOM via cycle.addSlide.
