JavaScript function that looks at the time and only displays a chat button during available hours.Right now I have it set to only show the button from 8 am to 6pm. I really would like to change it so the button only shows from 8am to 5:30pm but I dont know how to do half hours.Here is what I have right now:

I discovered a problem; if the employee works less than 8 hours they may not take a lunch. I have it set to automatically subtract 30 minutes for lunch. How do I write it to only subtract 30 minutes if the work day is greater than 4 hours? I am new to java script and have NEVER programmed anything previously. my site runs like this. There is a page called private.php with all the php in. private.php has a switch statement to call other pages (the default is home.php).so if a user say clicks contact the link would be private.php?mode=contact.and then in the private page the switch statement would

now the mysql query runs fine. the problem I have is that when I click the submit the url changes to private.php?x=18&y=28 . (the x and y vales are different everytime I click the submit).can anyone tell me where the x and y values are coming from and also why the ajax function is changing the url as the whole point of using ajax is to avoid that.

I have made a page thats makes an AJAX call to the server gets the time and displays it. In the OPEN method i have set

I have set the last parameter as false as i am expecting a synchronous request so that time displayed should be consistent.
I am using new date() since the browser is caching my request and displaying the same output everytime as i dont know any other alternative.
The alternative so that browser does not cache the results and gives proper output each time.

So that after they click the button that triggers the facebook share, 7 seconds after they click it, some text appear and the picture they click disappears.
The button shows a little toaster that revolves in response to an mouseover event. The first time you click on it nothing happens but it works the second time. Same thing with the onClick event. Doesn't work the first time, but works the second time. The code uses the setInterval function to advance through the frames. Help anyone? Check it out here:[URL]

I have a simple little code script and I'd like either the onClick function (or the entire code itself, whichever is easiest) to only load once every 24 hours for each IP address. So "123.1.22.333" should only get the effect of this code once every 24 hours regardless if they revisit my site 5 times a day let's say.
