I am trying to move an image down 20px each time the button is clicked, but I can only get it to move down once. I see what I am doing wrong, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I don't know how to store the updated position of the image in a variable.

one could add a 'start' & 'stop' (id="stopit") button to control the simple sprite animation. My Javascript looks like this (note that it works in tandem with the core.js that comes with the book; see the ZIP file i've attached):

clicking on the 'start' button more than once speeds up the animation, more with each successive click. Clicking the 'stop' button will only finally stop the animation if it's done the same number of times as the 'start' button was clicked.
i am now playing with the time. how to make the time move in downwards, i mean a countdown like format, e.g the time will start countdown and end in 2 days? here's my initial noob code for creating time

I am trying to create an Image menu for a site I'm working on that is rather simple in essence. When the user hovers over a button I have the menu will move left or right depending. I have not got a great deal into it yet as I have become stuck, as I'm new I figured it would be easier to troubleshoot if I build up the program bit by bit.

I'm displaying ads on my website, but I would like to hide the script for, let's say 12 hours, after it has been clicked on it. I somehow managed to create something, but it's still not what I want. On refresh, the image is back. I know that i have to use jquery cookies, but i'm really new to jquery so I've got no clue how to set up the cookies into that script.

Is it possible to fade in and move an object at the same time with jquery. I've got a div that I want to execute both actions to when the page loads. So far the fade doesn't seem to want to work though. Do I need to specify something in the css to make it invisible at the start or is there something wrong with my syntax?

I have a very simple web page that is comprised of the same image over and over again. I have it to when you click on it, it swaps the image out and adds 1 to the counter. I need it to subtract 1 when you click it again.

The javascript served banner is moved from #apple1 to #targetplace. Some times the banner is displayed on both places. Are two page impressions counted for this one page the banner is displayed? Executes the browser the javascript once or each time the javascript is moved?

I managed to cobble together some code and all I need to be on my way is to
have the close button I created to always be at the top right of my pop up.
The pop ups are large versions of thumbnail images and vary in size, so

I have a jquery statement that enables or disables a button depending on whether a checkbox has been selected in a grid. This works fine in firefox but in IE the button is still displayed as disabled after checking the box. When you move the mouse pointer over the button is instantly becomes enabled. Showing an alert dialogue also makes the button display as enabled. Is there anyway to force IE to refresh the button display after running the statement?

I am using ContentFlow from [URL] It is very well documented on their website. I got the whole thing working great on my site. What I don't know is how to change the ActiveItem onclick to just bump it over to the next image as if the next image had been clicked. As of right now it opens the image source in a self window. I don't want that. Can anyone give me a clue or maybe the whole answer on how to get it to click over to the next image? I believe the answer lies in the contentflow_src.js file.

I am currently building a simple photogallery. The photogallery contains a box with a few photo's in it, lined up horizontally. The box where the photo's are placed in is using an overflow so that there are only shown a few photo's. Below the box i have two buttons, left and right. The idea is simple if you click the left button the photo's must go 50 px to the left and visa versa goes with the right. I have coded this but the photo's unfortunately won't move! I need an image to move from outside the viewed space, from somwhere on the page where users cannot hav acces, let's say from x position of -439px to 0px, so that the image looks like entering the window. And I need to do this after the user clicks a piece of text that is already on the screen. How can I do that ? In what tag should I include the image ? where should I put de event handler/ listener ? I'm trying to make something a little like seen on Google Maps where you can search the location in text box and the map corresponding to the location will be dispalyed.
