Scrolling Window - Move The Text From Top To The Button?
Jan 12, 2010
Here is an example of a scrolling window and the codes about it:
[Code]...
I have some questions about it:
a)Can i move the text from top to the buttom?(which is the opposite from what it moves now).
b)How can i make the text to move nonstop?In other words when it stops to start again.
c)I have used the obj.style.left=pos in order to make the text move from left to right but i want it to move all horizontally in one line only.How could i do that?
I am trying to move some text by clicking a button. When clicked the button runs the java script and this will then take the value in the text field and add 10 to it to create a new value, this is then used to move the text (id=h1) to a new position and to display the new value in a text field. My script is below but does not work. Im new to javascrip and there is probably something embarasingly obviour that Im missing. Code:
jQuery - Scrolling browser Window. I have two demos of scrolling page content with jQuery.
This one - [url] is scrolling the contents inside a container and it works as I wanted on Mac/PC
Code:
I need the same effect as above but I need to scroll the whole browser window.
I have a demo here - [url]
Code:
Problem here is on the Mac the transition are jumpy and it seems to flash the first yellow div before sliding up or down. Testing on a PC it will slide down but won't slide up. How can I get the whole browser window to slide up and down with a smooth transition.
im searching for a plugin/code example for text scrolling. I got some text in a <div> if text is longer than for example 300px it gets cut and is scrolling from start to end, stops for a second and then scrolls back, stops and all over, and if its not long enough than 300px then just displays normaly. Something similar to the Song name scrolling inin anyMP3 player.
I couldn't find an example of a script to drag a customised window which had been resized from fullscreen and has a top level menu which can drag the window.
well what i need is to cutomize a hta application it basically allows for most javascript methods.
but what i need to do is replicate from that script to move/drag the window. when you mousedown on the window div etc Code:
I am trying to figure out how to move to the beginning of text boxes and text areas after the event call in a form. For the most part, I have two text boxes that don't have a maximum length and one text area that could span several lines of text. When the event call is made to fill out the remaining text boxes and update the text area (if necessary) I would like to have each of these elements display from the first character on instead of remaining where they were at when the entries were made.
I managed to cobble together some code and all I need to be on my way is to have the close button I created to always be at the top right of my pop up. The pop ups are large versions of thumbnail images and vary in size, so that's why I need the button to follow the image size. Is this possible to do?
I have a jquery statement that enables or disables a button depending on whether a checkbox has been selected in a grid. This works fine in firefox but in IE the button is still displayed as disabled after checking the box. When you move the mouse pointer over the button is instantly becomes enabled. Showing an alert dialogue also makes the button display as enabled. Is there anyway to force IE to refresh the button display after running the statement?
In my window user will popup calendar. But if window is not so width my calendar cannot fill on window and user see only part of it. How to do that user will have ability to see it completely on any size of window.
example: [URL]... I want to create a button which will shrink/minimize to bottom when i click on it(instead of shrinking upward) problems encounter: I use the script given in the example to modify the code so instead of moving up , it will move down but the problem is the clickable button wouldn't go down together with the panel (a.k.a. which mean the button is floating in the middle of nowhere when i click on it. )
The below code works, until i try and move the bottom button into the form. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the tut3 function and I probably need to reference the form somewhere in the function, but I dont know where.
Code:
<script language="javascript"> var properties = [<? echo $row['property_id'] ?>]; function tut3(){ var addRemove = document.getElementById('addRemoveProperty');
I am trying to move an image down 20px each time the button is clicked, but I can only get it to move down once. I see what I am doing wrong, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I don't know how to store the updated position of the image in a variable.
Is there any way to move text over an AVI or shockwave object. i have put each one in its own <div> and can move them around and over each other. when i have text on text or on pictures its fine. but when i try to move text over a shockwave it disappears. i have set the z indexes etc but no luck.
I have a button at the bottom of the page and when i click on it, the page goes to the top.I want the page to stay at the bottom.I tried to use window.scrollTo(0,1200); which works only for a quick second and then continues to go to the top.I found the link, but nobody ansewered at the end: with subject: Scroll down after onclick event So, how can i set the scroll bar to stay at the bottom?
Code: <script language=JavaScript> function scrollit(from, dist){ y = from; scrollEnd = y + dist; for (I=1; I<=scrollEnd; I++){ parent.scroll(1,I) } } </script> and i call it like this: <a href="#" onMouseOver="scrollit(0,500);">scroll</a>
but i was trying to make the window scroll from a position since my script will only scroll down from the top, how do i do this?
im getting used to using .js still and I am trying to figure out how to create a button to move a selected field within a box of fields to the top, instead of just moving it one-by-one to the top. Here is what I currently have that moves the selected just up one. Can someone expand on this and make it so it will move to the top instead of just one? :thumbsup:
In website i am having popup window.Whenever refreshiung the page popup window will come Its working now and i want to move that popup window based on the mouse movement can anyone give some sample code for this
how site like Magento and cs-cart have the 'save' button always showing. When you scroll up or down it floats at the bottom of the screen and then when it reaches the point it is suppose to be it stays stationary on the page.
This is a clarification of a previous message, which was not expressed very well. I have a set of checkboxes near the bottom of the page and a function that checks or unchecks all of them. But when the function runs, the window scrolls to the top of the page.
How can I set my checkboxes but leave the window's scroll position exactly where it is? Or at least have it scroll to the bottom (where the checkboxes are).
I've tried using window.scrollTo(), but the window always scrolls to the top no matter what. It's the same in Navigator and IE.
I was wondering if there is a way to prevent the browser window from scrolling when you are scrolling inside an overflow auto div and reach the end of the div's scroll? Right now I have a few people complaining about a div that loads scrolling info on the screen and when they scroll down using the mouse wheel and get to the bottom of the div then the rolling of the mouse wheel starts scrolling the browser window. It would be nice if the browser could see that your cursor is over the div and even though it reaches the end, not scroll the window unless you move the cursor outside of the div that you are currently scrolling.
The issue seems to be that when the buffer becomes extremely large instead of scrolling to the bottom of the window, there is a gap at the bottom instead.
Here is the test code I've been using, and it allows me to get to around 18000 pixels before the gap begins...
window.scrollTo(0, Math.max(document.documentElement.offsetHeight, document.body.scrollHeight ) + (window.innerHeight || document.body.clientHeight ) + 100); window.scrollBy(0, Math.max(document.documentElement.offsetHeight, document.body.scrollHeight ) + (window.innerHeight || document.body.clientHeight ) + 100); The issue is really driving me crazy, hopefully someone will be able to help me out.
Please do not suggest putting a link at the bottom of the content (IE: <a name="bottom">asdf</a>, url#name) for this is not an option.
