JQuery :: Button In IE Only Becomes Enabled When Move Mouse Over It
Aug 11, 2011I have a jquery statement that enables or disables a button depending on whether a checkbox has been selected in a grid. This works fine in firefox but in IE the button is still displayed as disabled after checking the box. When you move the mouse pointer over the button is instantly becomes enabled. Showing an alert dialogue also makes the button display as enabled. Is there anyway to force IE to refresh the button display after running the statement?

click in Mozilla (with IE it works perfect) on 'Show hourglass' the mouse
pointer changes only if you move the mouse at least on pixel.

Simultaneous Pressing Of Left And Right Mouse Buttons
Oct 27, 2007I am trying to detect whether my IE6 users have pressed both right and
left mouse buttons simultaneously in my Javascript code, by using:
if(event.button==3) {alert("Both right and left mouse buttons
pressed");}
I am calling the above code on mousedown or mouseup events.
But it does not seem to work. :,(
The if condition is not satisfied even on pressing the left and right
buttons simultaneously.
Is there something that I am missing?

- When the button is clicked the text shows up normaly (0% transparency)

Div Textfields Missing After Pressing Back Button

creating textfields.
The problem is when I click a link on the page, or the submit button,
then click the back button, the new textfields in the div element are
not there anymore.
Does anyone know how this scenario is usually handled?

May 22, 2010I have a page where a user can progressively download more thumbnail images. New thumbnails are loaded using '$.get' followed by an 'append' to the main thumbnail container. If a user clicks on a thumbnail then they link to another page to see the full size image. If the user then presses the back button, the page of thumbnails has returned to its initial state. I was hoping that all the additionally downloaded thumbnails would remain in memory! Is there a way around this? Keeping track of any additional thumbnails that have been downloaded when navigating the to the full size image page and then re-loading them when the user returns to the thumbnails page is not really an option as I don't want the user having to wait for this. This is what facebook appears to do after one has loaded lots of additional items on their news feed - if one links to another page and hits the back button, my suspicion is that all the items are re-loaded - they're not just re-displayed from memory.
