I'm using Javascript to change an image on a page without reloading the page. The problem is that my images are various widths (but identical heights), yet each image I change it to uses the width of the first image.

I'm trying to make it so that when a user clicks on a radio button, the image that is related to the radio button is displayed next to it (without reloading the page). At the moment all it shows is the image related to the currently saved option, which I'd like to keep on page load. Is this possible?

Im trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.

I have a page HTML. In HTML have 1 button, when click into button that'll appear 1 window. In this window, it's show 1 image and after 5s it will change the other image. I can't do this.

I have a page which is a large graphic sliced up into various pieces for better loading. It's a drawing of a bedroom and I need to have it set up so that when a user clicks on a link that is mapped to a frame hanging on the wall, it opens the doors of a cupboard. The photoframe and the cupboard are in different images.
I thought of using a Javascript image rollover but I can't see how that can be used to change a different image rather than the image that has the link in it.
I've done a little Javascript editing. Am happy to upload the code and images to the web if required.
I've set up jcarousel and configured it to work how I need it to, apart from one thing; I need the images to keep their width - height ratio when the browser is resized.
I'm using the Flexible carousel configuration and the width of the images changes appropriately when the window is resized, but the height stays the same, I need it to change.
I'm making a bit of a weird site on a server with no php, mysql etc. To save me work, I've included the header and footer using AJAX but would like to change the relevant nav bar image to the rollover image if the visitor is on that page. My javascript skills are TERRIBLE, but I came up with this anyway and was going to put it inbetween the <a> tags where the image currently sits. I have a list of paragraphs that all need to say the same thing. Each has it's own ID and class (each one has a different font color) and I need a co-worker to be able to type a phrase or name into a form field & hit "go" and have it update all of the paragraphs to reflect that text in the various colors. I also need it to have a predetermined default phrase.

I am in a bit of a rut in the self-teaching with JS. I am trying to get links to change the external js file currently on the main page without reloading, the external files are basically long document.write sections with a few interactive functions.
The closest I have found for help with this so far is a rotating script, but I want a manual change from a link (button, image, etc) instead of timeOut rotation. I am not sure what I need to do for the links to replace the timeout function to change the dynamic section.
my dilemma at the moment is that I have produced a site where the client would like the logo colour/image to change on refresh which I have achieved by scouring the net for codes and altering them. Now, the client wants the shapes behind the sub-headings to match the current logo colour/image on refresh as well. This would mean if the logo changed to the blue logo, I'd need all the sub-headings to be blue, and vice versa for another 3 colours.I'm struggling to understand how I can achieve this. At the moment, I have a javascript inside the code of the index page allowing logo image change on refresh but need the sub-headings to change in sync too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to design a website for my friend and I have no clue how to change the menu image if the page scrolls down, for example If the person clicks on a submenu it will take them to a specific anchor within a page, I have setup a custom jquery scroll bar so all the contents are in the Div that is scrollable.
If you can see that if you click on the submenu which is 2nd hand and repair and rebuild the content will scroll to specific area, but the clients don�t know there location as once the sub menu is clicked the original submenu image appears.So I want them to be able to see if they selected the 2nd tab, the button will stay highlighted and if they scroll down the page when they reach another heading with an anchor the corresponding submenu tab becomes highlighted.

I have an image insertion page that is part of a JS WYSIWYG. It works okay, but I would like to add a styled caption bar underneath it.

I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.

how to make the image a hyperlink to specific urls rather than the image in its own page in the contenflow.js? I've found that if you comment out this line: window.location.href=A You will successfully delete the hyperlinks that link to the full size image. View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...

I am having an issue with setting the background-image of a another div #x to the background image of #y.Correct me if I am wrong but I think you would do this in a simple case by saying

So when it does it, it is getting the URL of the generator (I logged it. what is actually being passed is [URL] This would require a server call to generate a new image, In this particular application, even if it wasn't exactly the image y had it would be acceptable. But it's not doing it. It is not getting any image at all. Am I doing something wrong, i.e. is it supposed to just work? I would think not, since the page has already been rendered. This is almost an ajax situation but I don't know how to do it for an image. I don't really want to generate a new image anyway, I'd be very happy to get the one that's already there. How would I access the actual image already attached to y and not do another server call?
I would the user of my website to click a link on a page and for some information to display on the page without a reload of the page. I want to set the width of a div to be the same width of the image inside the div.The following code works great. But...The images are different widths, so both wrappers are set to the width of the first image. Without having to add an ID to each wrapper or image, can the wrapper width be set to the image width using the name of the image as the unique identifier?
