i have a sliced page from photoshop. how i can change the main banner part at the top so that it gradualy changes over a period of time, i was thinking maybe a swap image thing, but not sure.
I am trying to create a WYSIWYG editor for my site, but seeing as how every browser gives different results when using the execcommand method, I am trying to do my own insertions instead.
What I would like to do is create an iframe with designMode On to enable editing of the frame, but when someone does a command to bold text, I want to make a method which enters <b>Some Highlighted Text</b> into the frame where the user highlighted so it would appear bold and the source would have the <b> tags.
My issue is I have been unsuccessful in learning how to take the selected text within an iframe and surround it with tags. I was able to accomplish this in Internet Explorer using this code:
Except the resulting text would actually have the <i> tags appear, and the source would be:
Pretty retarded if you ask me since in no way did I want it to convert the tags into entities.
Anyway, if anyone could please direct me to a method in which I can successfully take selected text within the iframe and surround it with HTML tags in such a way that the formatting will actually show.
In one of my web page I want to show an image preloader. ie When I clicked on the small thumbnail in my web page then the main large image will load. My code looks something like this
$("#images li").click(function(){ var image=this.href; $("#mainImage").attr('src',image); });
I want to show the Loading sign until the main image loads completely.
I am trying to incorporate two javascript files (using jQuery) and they are creating a conflict.If the main js is on the page part of the page does not work. If I do not include it my menu and some related features do not work correctly.One code is long so here is the link to it: *I removed Link* (this is the main code for the menu etc)The other js is:
I was wanting to know how to properly make an image change when you hover over the main image.URL...And I want ALL the images to change as soon as you hover over each image.Now here's the problem. Whenever I layout my coding like that, when I hover over ANY image, an image I don't want to change, changes.So is there any way that I can get ALL images to work without having to create external JavaScript files?
Im trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that this blank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.
A bit of my research:
-I found this---but havent figured out how to implement it in my scenario:
Source: [url]

I have got a DIV that I need to refresh, its content consists of an image that will change on the insertion of a row to the SQL Database, however, when I use a refresh on my div it does refresh but does not change the image...
My refresh code is ajax:
And my PHP code contains the MYSQL that has a mysql_num_rows, so that PHP can see if there are rows or not.
I would like my page not to redirect or refresh on my div change.. So I would just like my div to refresh.
recommend a powerful WYSIWYG (commercial/open source) editor which has a image upload capability.I have been looking for it since morning but could not able to find it.I found CKeditor+CKFinder , but CKFinder is not available in django/python language. I tried to port to django but encountered several problems.
Here is a script I found which works well for randomly selecting a static image when loading/refreshing a page, and allows captions for the images. I need this to also have the images link to other pages. I lack the javascript ability to do so.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE -don't forget to use one of these! <head> <title></title>
I have a script which I grabbed from here: [URL] It does partially what I want but I need more functionality, specifically,
1) add caption text below each image in the form of "1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc." 2) make the current image clickable to go to respective URL of my choice
I have a rough mockup here: [URL] My question is, does anyone know of a script that already does all this? It needs to play friendly with all major browsers. I'm not a JS programmer, but can dabble with small changes if shown what's needed to modify this script.
New to javascript/jquery, been trying to create a rotator which displays a large image with caption and uses next/previous button and thumbnails for control. Everything works fine but when the rotator gets to the last item i'd like it to go back to the first, and when the previous button is clicked at the first item I'd like it to go to the last.
$(document).ready(function() { //set to zero var x = 0;
how I can get this lookup to work..:?I'm using a app that uploads an image and returns a hex code in a 3x3 grid. (See here: http://jrm.cc/color-palette-generator) I want to take this one stage further and have a code that will then take the Hex code and look up a field in an sql database containing hex codes. Then convert the hex code into an image containing the selected colour. For example;
User uploads image of the sky
App returns hex codes of sky
App then needs to look in a field database of images on server and finds image/s with similar hex value
App then returns images in replace of the hex code (i.e blue water, swimming pool, blue coloured hat etc etc)
I'm completely new to this and have no knowledge at all when it comes to javascript. Have been using this script on my site for a while. Is there anyway I can add a URL link to the images that are in my selector? When clicked would go to that page on my website.
<script language="JavaScript"> /* Random image slideshow- By Tyler Clarke (tyler@ihatecoffee.com) For this script and more, visit http://www.javascriptkit.com */ var delay=10000 //set delay in miliseconds var curindex=0 [Code]...
I am trying to make a generic function called whenever the window size changes. I want this function to apply to several different images. The idea is that when the window is resized the function will only change the end of the source code by replacing "_small", "_medium", "_large" with the appropriate size depending on the window. The problem is that when I use the code below it makes ALL of the images the same. The variable imageRightIdStr genereates a list of ids of all of the images that I would like this function to affect. ex: #imageRight101,#imageRight201,#imageRight202,#imageRight203,#imageRight301 etc.
Here is the code that I have now. It mostly works except it makes all of my "imageRight_" images the same. var contentwidth = $('#background').width(); if ((contentwidth) < '1175') { var logo= $('#pageLogo'); var rightImage = $('.rightImage'); logo.attr('src',logo.attr('src').replace('_large','_small')); logo.attr('src',logo.attr('src').replace('_medium','_small')); $(imageRightIdStr).attr('src',$(imageRightIdStr).attr('src').replace('_large','_small')); $(imageRightIdStr).attr('src',$(imageRightIdStr).attr('src').replace('_medium','_small')); }else if ((contentwidth) < '1440' && (contentwidth) > '1175') { var logo= $('#pageLogo'); var rightImage = $('.rightImage'); logo.attr('src',logo.attr('src').replace('_large','_medium')); logo.attr('src',logo.attr('src').replace('_small','_medium')); $(imageRightIdStr).attr('src',$(imageRightIdStr).attr('src').replace('_large','_medium')); $(imageRightIdStr).attr('src',$(imageRightIdStr).attr('src').replace('_small','_medium')); }
i have a thumbnail gallery of pictures on my page. I also have one area where i feature one of the gallery pics in larger format. Imagine a photography website, when a thumb is clicked, the larger pic is populated in the Feature section. Ideally this is all on one HTML page.
See code below. <body> <table width="770" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
I have a gallery consisting of thumbnail images and a big image...pretty standard stuff. Anyway i'd like the big image to fade in when a thumbnail image is clicked and can't find any tutorials on how to do this. I have found ready made galleries using jquery but thought there might be something i could do with my existing html/css. I'm new to javascript and wonder if someone can point me in the right direction? Is this more complicated than it appears to be?
I'm using Javascript to change an image on a page without reloading the page. The problem is that my images are various widths (but identical heights), yet each image I change it to uses the width of the first image.
Im using the below javascript to resize images on a forum I have created but I want it to ignore 2 certain images that are part of my header. Heres the code
<script> window.onload = resizeimg; function resizeimg() { if (document.getElementsByTagName) { [Code]...
I have an interesting project that I'm sure someone has done before. I need to essentially recreate the effect on the Bing homepage where you can mouseover different parts of an image and be displayed different tool tips depending on where your cursor is.
[Code]...
I don't want to use Flash for these things unless I absolutely have to. It seems they could be done with CSS purely but I was wondering if there is a more attractive/prettier way to do it with Jquery?
I have an oscommerce web site with a cart in the header which shows/hides the content when you hover over it. What I'm trying to do is alternate the row color of the part that drops down when items have been added to the cart but I'm just not getting it right no matter what I try.
i cant get a caption specific to each image to display under the arrows when the image changes. it is especially hard for me because i have to edit the javascript which confuses the **** out of me. it seemed so simple....
ps i cant start an id with a digit? it doesnt seem to cause any problems...why is it stated that this cannot or shouldnot be done?
