Jquery :: Passing Parameters - Parent / Child Templates
Mar 3, 2010I have little bizarre problem. Working in Java web development we have project that we use plenty of templates from Velocity. Where one template can refresh section of it self and display one or more templates. My problems is that in parent template I have to pop up window with message if in child template and item from group A been moved to group B or vice-versa. How to change on child template can be propagated up to parent?

Jun 13, 2010I am working on a rapid html prototyping framework. This would allow me (as an interaction designer) to create html prototypes fast.I have been looking in templating plugins to help with building the templates or filling them with content. For example {{ lorem_ipsum }} would be replaced with a few paragraphs of random text. This is easy to do with several plugins.
However it would be great to be able to add a bit more flexibility by using functions like {{ loremWords(100) }} which would add 100 random words which are different for each replaced item. Or something similar to add a menu or other snippets.It is probably not too difficult but so far I have not gotten it working yet. And the pluginsI have found are either too complex, requires script tags or can't handle functions.

Scriptaculous Opacity Effect On IE ?
Mar 30, 2010I want to show a few products, (3 columns x 2 rows), when user clicks some links (LINK 1, LINK 2, LINK 3), these productos change for another six.
To show new products, Im using scriptaculous opacity effect. Everything works correctly on firefox and chrome, but on IE it shows 1 column x 6 rows.

Onclick Change The Value Of Text Box - Scriptaculous
Nov 23, 2009I use scriptaculous to retrieve the hotel names and area names from database in this page. My question is where it says step 3, Search for hotel, chain or location!. Type in syd for example and you see how it retrieves the values from database and shows them underneath. It works fine and the list is generated beautifully. Now I have to add the next step which is filling this text box (from step 3 where you typed syd in) with the value (of the item clicked on). For example once you typed sydney, if you click on Sydney, I want the text field to be filled with value sydney.

Nov 26, 2009I have a series of functions I need to run in order.The functions use a lot of scriptaculous effects and I need to que up the functions so that they only run when the previous one, with all of its functions, have finished running. Cause of the nature of what I'm trying to do, I can't use the queue that comes with scriptaculous.

Scriptaculous - Form Scrolls To The Next Function
Feb 15, 2012I am looking to recreate a form function like this website: [URL] What happens when you click the answer to the question the form scrolls to the next function. I would love to know how this is done. I am not a javascript developer but having looked into this the form uses scriptaculous.js and prototype.js. Is there an online form builder or a program out there that can re-create this or is it just a simple bit of javascript added onto a form?

Feb 27, 2009I am working on a site that must drag and drop items, I use scriptaculous 1.8.2, effects, dragdrop.js.But now I am lost, I kan drag, i can drop and invoke the onEnd or on Drop event, but can't find it out to get the data from the dragged and the dropped element together.What are I am trying:
1) Have element that is dragable, and and element that is dropable
